I have such a hard time with anger. I feel like I have to punish MYSELF when I get angry with someone .
I have Mars in Cancer(16 degrees) and Moon in Cancer(8 degrees).My moon is in the 8th house and Mars is in the 9th house.
An 8th house moon, like all 8th house planets, can stay dormant i.e not mature for a long time, if ever.
Maybe, that is part of the problem.
I will be back with Mars aspects, too.Most
everything aspects Neptune.
Maybe, that makes anger hard, too, cuz you think you must be self sacrificing.
I feel *I* should watch out for the other person's feelings. This is NOT good or "nice".
It is an impaired part of myself.
Every creature needs it's own anger in order to have strength in it's body and it's life.
It is a real issue with me cuz my anger is going inward and hurting me.
I will get stomach aches or depression rather than stand up and be counted as a person.

Right now, I am REALLY angry at a person. I have every right to be.(The person is not on LL lol)
However, I don't FEEL the anger. I feel guilt and wonder,"SHOULD I be angry?"
I don't think I deserve to be angry cuz anger means you are a real person with real needs, real desires and real wants.

I have this strange Mars in Cancer (8th House) too!  Although I'm usually very calm, balanced and fiendly, I can get really really really! mad-when provoked. That happens ocassionally but I'm ok with it-until I calm down. Then I feel tremendous gilt  and frustration, because I keep asking myself Did I overreact? Did I hurt that person? Was it necessary to be so angry? And I want to apologize and to make things right-immediately despite the fact that this person hurt me or offended me badly.But my feelings change frequently. I can feel great one moment and the next moment I'm moody, desperate or I just want to scream. lol Mars is my chart ruler. I have Mars-Jupiter conjunction in Cancer trine Uranus in Scorpio. THIS is what I want. I want to have my OWN feelings whether it is anger or something else.
In this case, it is anger.
I don't want to be a jerk, an aggressor or anything else. I just want to have my OWN feelings.

Your mars is exactly conjunct my sun and my mars is conjunct your moon! My moon is even conjunct your sun. We have so many planets almost the same but I am very different lol I have a tenth house mars conjunct my midheaven and I'm no different than an Aries  I've been in anger management a while now because I can have a serious temper even though it lasts 10 seconds before my Gemini moon kicks in and gets over it, if disturbs me being so direct. I'm the first to speak up and tell someone how I feel. My facial expressions change instantly and I'm more likely to verbally abuse someone from my family and people I don't know rather than my friends. In fact I don't ever recall having a verbal argument with any of my friends. I have mars conjunct my sun/moon midpoint as well. Your lucky you can supress it because It's harder being out of control. Don't get me wrong I'm not a monster but I am easily irritated. I've kicked my pregnant aunty out of my car and then I've left Ferdi in the middle of the street in his boxers an hour walk from his house at 3 am. He has an eighth house moon like you and takes it all in and then I feel bad because I'm the bad guy. IP: Logged |

I have a lot of guilt with my anger too but my Mars is in Saggie (29th degree) in the 7th.... BUT it's a wide conj to my Sun/Neptune in the 6th house-Saggie. I think Neptune is maybe influencing it. EDIT: My Mars is almost a singleton too...or it might be. The only aspect is has is conj my DSC. The conj to the Sun/Neptune is very wide (9 degrees)... so that might have a part of it too. Yes, Racole--about the 9 degrees.
Often, books say that you can have a 10 degree if it is the Sun or moon,I think, too.
What do you think in your life with the 9 degrees?

I do feel the Mars effecting my Sun every once in a great while- it took a lot to get me angry, but as I have gotten older Mars has came out to play more. LOL... BUT I have Sun conj Mars in my Prog chart- less than a degree and it will stay like this for 20+ years... so, that could explain my aggressive actions getting stronger as I have gotten older IP: Logged |

You know, Racole, I think I can feel 10 degree orbs.
I have Sun conjunct moon(10 degrees) and I have moon conjunct Mars(8 degrees)
Some people say you cannot feel aspects but perhaps you can. Ami ------------------

The people who say that either don't have a large orb conjunction or they have issues letting go of their own rules (like saying only 5 degree orb counts) that they totally denied what they are feeling... it's a control thing. Thanks Ami It's been 134 days I have been in constant pain, I don't have insurance to get the steroid shot that I need- it cost $1000 w/o and they won't stick me on a payment plan (and it's the only time in my life I haven't had insurance. LOL) Like last yr- paid $3000 for insurance and only went to the doctor for one check up. LOL. There definitely has to be a lesson behind all this. LOL Maybe it's just learning to surrender to things I just don't have control over. EDIT: Also my Mars and DSC is at 29 degrees Sag, so you think I would be having anger issues right now with Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, Uranus and Pluto hitting it right now... LOL GEESH...with soon Venus too with Neptune being the only soft aspect. LOL IP: Logged |

My Mars is a water and fixed singleton. Mars in Scorpio in the 6th.Anger is one of the emotions I feel like I know well. I'm not at all one to throw a temper tantrum. I feel the need to keep myself under control. I do seek appropriate outlets for the anger, though. Interestingly, it's colored by Virgo by being in the 6th (Virgo's house), and also because one of it's aspects is a sextile to my Moon in Virgo (my Moon that's conjunct Pluto). I have a 5th house Mars in Libra and have a volatile temper. Many of my friends with Mars in Libra have similar issues and I've read it's linked to Aries being the opposing sign. IP: Logged |
