As a transneptunian dwarf planet, it's equal to Pluto. It's even large as Pluto when it comes to its widest dimension. It's cigar,egg,football shaped object with an unusually rapid daily rotation of 4 hours. It's the most unusual object in our solar system. It's named after the Hawaiian Fertility Creation Goddess.

I recently met a woman who has Virgo on the 8th house cusp, and she does have Haumea in the 8th house

I have Aries on 8th house
8th house ruler Mars in Aquarius in 6th
Retrograde Chiron conjunct retrograde transneptunian dwarf planet Eris in Aries in 8th
Retrograde transneptunian dwarf planet candidate Sedna in Taurus in 8th

For some reason, I always felt that there was something else that was going on in my 8th house and not just Chiron. I felt that my 8th house was a lot more active than that.

Finding out Eris and Sedna are in my 8th makes more sense to me.

Makemake, named after Rapanui fertility creation God, in your 8th house suggest it could be a strong theme in regards to reproduction

Haumea in 8th house would suggest the same thing. I even think Haumea in 8th in connection to Ceres might be good for being a doula which I wrote to the woman who has that aspect. That's the same woman that I mentioned that has Haumea in Virgo in 8th. She has it oppose her Mercury in Pisces and sextile her Ceres in Cancer in 6th.

Orcus, named after Etruscan God Ruler of the Underworld, in your 8th house suggest it could be a strong theme in regards to death (literal,figurative)

The large transneptunian objects Makemake and Orcus in your 8th would suggest a strong evolutionary intensification,high metaphysical orientation,and extreme depth in regards to 8th house same as my having the large transneptunian objects Sedna and Eris in my 8th suggests.

I even suspect Ceres with its mythological,astronomical connections with Pluto can be strong influence in the 8th house

I didn't really get into asteroids because there are so many. I have retrograde Africano and retrograde Africa conjunct my retrograde Chiron and Eris retrograde in 8th, but that could be more about ancestry, especially with them being sextile/trine my MC/IC. I am part African I also have Portugal in 8th, and that could be more about my ancestry with it being sesquiquadrate/semisquare my MC/IC. I am part Portuguese.

On the other hand,
I have Ireland in Aries in my 8th,and it sextiles my Mars in Aquarius in 6th. I did have sexual relations with a woman from Ireland. She was a penpal that hooked up with during her visit to US that included San Diego where I was stationed. I also got sexually involved with a woman that is Irish where I met in a San Francisco night club. I was involved with both women when I was in the navy. My exgf,Meghann is half Irish and I had sexual relations with her. She has Sun,Mercury,Mars in Aries which are in my 8th house. Her Mars conjunct my Ireland in 8th,sextiling my Mars! hahahahaha
The first major crush was part Irish. She was a girl that I met when both of us were in special education. I met her again a few times...when I was in 5th grade and 12th grade.

With Knight in Aries in my 8th sextile Mars, I can be chivalrous when it comes to intimacy and just in my actions like I always open doors for the opposite sex and the elderly....well even just for people in general. I definitely make it a habit to open doors for the opposite sex. That was a habit since my preteens. Of course reading about Arthurian Legends and Knights also influenced my behaviors......sometimes even for the worst, like mentality to defend my honor and using to wish that duels were legal.

See, what happened is I met someone. In the first second, I could feel him. I could tell that we fit together right. (I mean this platonically.) That's the way it works for me. I feel how someone merges with me instantly. I really do work from the inside out in life. I feel the spiritual level first.

We were introduced by a mutual acquaintance. Our acquaintance told him about some achievements I've had in a field he respects. He liked that. I could see hearts pop up in his eyes, and from that moment on he looked at me fondly and with respect.

That bugged me. It bothered me that our acquaintance told him that as we were meeting. The thing is, I like to keep "attractive" things about myself private. I do that so that I can tell if someone likes *me*, or if they like my gifts, my resources.

I have a lot of anger in me about how unloving people are towards one another. I hate that some people don't automatically value others; instead they need other people to show how they're valuable. That's like we're earning love through our gifts, a love philosophy I abhor. So b/c of that, I'm turned off when people are drawn to my resources. In that attraction, they're reminding me of something I hate so much about life.

But not everyone senses people in the way I do. I've finally accepted that the way I feel people is unusual. If other people need external evidence and clues about who a person is before they begin to *feel* who that other person is, then that's ok. I've finally made some peace with other people going from the outside in & being enticed by gifts to make that journey.

I'm not sure if this makes sense to people who don't suffer from my same Neptunian disenchantment with the world.

I agree with you that the type of attraction I asked about is a 7th house issue. For me the 8th dominates that process bc what attracts me is *the way* in which I fit with someone. I feel that first.

Are any of these planets conjunct?
Leaving that aside for the moment, I think it is the Saturn and the Mars on there which are giving you the problems.
Venus is not too happy there either lol

However, Saturn throws cold water on things. Mars drives things.
Right there, you have two opposite directions.

I think it is a strong sign for sensitive, harmony loving Venus ,too. She might have a wildness you would have to temper lol

Are you male or female?
Come back with the degrees of the planets, if you care to.
That would help in seeing your 8th house better.

I had a feeling your Mars was conjunct Saturn.
That would be throwing cold water on your drive.
I am not so sure what Venus conjunct Mars does but it is too far away, anyway , to matter much according to most people here.

i also have mercury and vesta in the 8th, mercury quincux uranus in libra in the 3rd.

intimacy to me NOW is something I crave via sexual/spiritual merger. eye contact, psychic connections, wordless communication, also suggestion, fantasy. gentle touch, complete ease in each other's presence, a knowingness of the other that need not be expressed in words but in looks, sounds, touch. i am interested in expression of power dynamics via sex but have not had the opportunity to fulfill this or explore this via (sexual) relationship.

I have Scorpio on the 8th house cusp, and the ruler Pluto is in my 7th, also in Scorpio. Oddly enough, I've always been drawn to men with a touch of Scorpio, but never Sun or Ascendant.

The only man who's made it through the emotional gauntlet has Mars in Scorpio conjunct my Saturn in the 8th, and a close Mercury opposition to my Pluto in the 7th.

I'd say I feel intimate with someone (romantically and non-romantically) if I've had a conversation, or many conversations, with them where we've just clicked on a mental level. If we've had a moment where it seems like our minds are brilliantly in tune with each other. I'd say it can involve a sharing or parts of yourself with another person, physically or verbally. Showing them a side which not everyone gets to see.
I'm sure I could think of much more but that's what first springs to mind.
