At the end of this year, and on... Pluto will be square my Mars, onto Moon (shortly, thank goodness), then Mercury, eventually onto Sun.

Obviously, this is the beginning of a long and hazardous decade for me.

Does anyone here have any good advice for getting through and handling difficult Pluto transits? How about positive experiences?

Are there any places you can hide away, and avoid them, completely?!...

haha, there is nowhere you can hide. being a person who has pluto conjunct mars in scorpio, unaspected to my sun also in scorpio i know you can NOT hide. just embrace the power and change you may get from it

join the club!

pluto is currently conjunct my ascendant/jupiter, gonna ago back over a sqaure to my aries moon pretty soon. then in a couple years or so conjunct my venus and my mercury. oh! and square my midheaven.

happy happy joy joy!

its interesting. depending on the houses and angles in ones chart...but if one has an angular pluto...ie conjunct midheaven. then they pluto will play out in your life by eventually transiting the first house probably before 30.

Hate to be the bearer of more bad news, but you also have t. sat going over that stellium, t. ura opposing it and all of those, plus pluto will hit your sun/merc at some point too.

It may just be a very action packed time for you with a lot of changes.

My simplest advice is that if there is anything hidden in your life, not faced, underground to you, bring it up, face it.

Pluto does not mess around with things we bury. If we don't dig them up. He will.

This is impossible. If it's conjunct the mh, it will most likely never hit the AC, but not by 30 for sure.

I am slightly worried this will all play out with a bad, bad, bad ex (big scorpio/pluto influence on me, met during a Pluto sextile Venus transit)...

I tried to get away a few times. Ended up just doing geographical loop-de-loops while Pluto squared my moon around February - March this year -- I moved 2,000 miles x 4 (flying back and forth between locations) trying to completely cut ties...

I am not just worried for myself, just worried for my friends and family. Hoping I can somehow buffer these transits...

You know I went through T.Pluto crossing over my IC and oppsoing my natal moon and nodes at the same time...

One would think someone would die (maybe my mum being IC and MOON) or big changes would happen right?

No nothing.

I was just very depressed because of my mum and had anxiety about everything. Noone died accept both of my neighbours. I did have the best holiday of my life at the end of the transit and I came out of it just fine. I had no idea Pluto was capable of such mental torture.

But the end result is you forget it and you move on.

NickiG,

I can relate, a bit... saturn isn't a better influence to have.

Me <------ Saturn opposite Mercury, Saturn opposite Sun, Saturn conjunct Moon.

Just imagine your thoughts sinking slowly into a pit of depression, everyday. No matter what. Slow, steady, serious thinking.

Good for analysis, not good for life and drawing conclusions!

UGH, that is all i can say

Belgz,

You cheated! Sedation sort of counts as "hiding". Maybe I will consider it come the beginning of next year?

Transitting Pluto square my natal Pluto while transitting Saturn was conjunct natal Pluto (and squaring sky Pluto and the Uranus etc) was a baaaaaaad time. After Pluto moved (3 degrees now) it is no longer exact square to my natal Pluto and is approaching my Sun (couple degrees to exact) and things are actually great now (compared to how low I was before) and Saturn has come through for me, the harder I work the better things seem to be for the time being and I am satisfied.
During the exact Pluto/Pluto square with all the other crazy big planet squares going on, things were so hard. Early on (couple/few years ago) I went quite crazy in a depression sort of way and tried medication for a while that seemed to make me worse. Then I just took up smoking for a year and that actually seemed to help. Now I am recovering and things are better than ever so far... though I feel like I am tempting fate by writing this. (Knocking on all wood and wood-like sources in knocking distance...) Also, I quit smoking with the help of lots of sincere prayer.
I like what someone said about making it through and then forgetting about it (because that is almost what I have done now). That reminds me to respectfully remember how difficult/challenging it can be and to be grateful for making it through.
God bless you and this too shall pass. ♥

Diana,

Thanks for that info. I did notice that, but didn't want to overwhelm everyone with my transit problems, hahaha.

Oh, and MysticMelody,

Pluto square pluto??? That sounds horrible. Did the effects of that hit right away within a 3 degree orb? Or was it closer to 1 degree, or were you even able to pay attention at the time?

My Pluto is 29.45 Virgo and Pluto was doing a bit of a back and forth when it would hit Cap and then retro back and that was when things began to fall apart. I couldn't pay attention, no, you are right. I actually started failing college classes when I had been a straight A scholarship student prior to that period. A lot of challenging things happened to say the least. I also felt so low and lonely that I got involved with a lot of dark and sad people. Complete 8th house environment. My Pluto is in the 8th.
When all the planets aligned in that Grand Cross or Grand Square, that's when the energy broke and things hit the culmination. Then things started to get better... like I wasn't frozen or on a downhill where I couldn't control what was going on...
things were still so difficult, but it was the kind of difficulty AFTER the storm. Like things were trashed but I wasn't whirling around in the tornado anymore... I was just wounded and stuck under the rubble. It was a hard and painful climb out with a lot of setbacks but I do feel stronger now, like I can do this. I can make things better. I can keep climbing UP even though it is hard. I guess that is why I feel so much better. I have hope again.
Back when it was exact I felt lost in fear and stifled and stuck and like I was being held down and suffocated or something. I don't know how to explain it other than this succession of images. I felt powerless. Like I was strapped in and hurling down.
Now I'm kind of blinking at the light and rubbing my eyes and the horror of it all has passed somewhat. But there are still remnants of decay clinging that I have to continue to clear off...
hmm.
Thank you. It helped to explore that fully. I feel like I'm coming to a greater understanding now... even though it still feels a little scary thinking about it. My Mercury is conjunct my Pluto and for a while there I wondered if I was going to lose my mind. It was a difficult experience.

Pluto turned me into a newt.
( I got bettah. )
