Scorp31,

re: family

BINGO!!! It's all bad. I think my family life can be about as bad as it can be without there being physical abuse or really outright mental abuse.

My mother left my father, on a whim (her words) when she was 3 months pregnant and then wouldn't even let him in the room when I was born... for really no good reason other than spite and he "irritated" her. My mother is an extremely narcissistic Virgo/Leo.

She did push him out of our lives, but he didn't really fight hard enough or really at all, to stay in my life. My maternal grandparents picked up the slack in raising me.

My grandmother is overly attached to me... she would love it if I would just be her little satellite and not go out into the big wide world and live my life (i.e: leave her).

My father and I have a troubled relationship. Our synastry is full of squares -- literally full of squares. 30 years later, he is still embittered and i can't respect that, since he actually has a nice life now and none of it was my fault anyhow. I'm tired of feeling blamed for my mother's actions and continually rejected and the least loved and important of his children. I've always felt like he secretly hated me, but wouldn't admit it, because I'm his child and he's not supposed to. But really he does, just like he rightfully loathes my mother.

My mother and I have had a troubled relationship -- she is hyper-critical and only now starting to change and relent a little bit. This constant criticism was a huge source of my low self-esteem and depression in my early 20's.

There you have it. Heavily afflicted 4th house moon. Just as awful as you would imagine.

However I am OK and I say that very matter-of-factly, because I am a happy person today. I love the world, I love being in it and I am very happy being me, in spite of the difficulties I have had to overcome

I feel very grounded and I finally have a strong sense of self, who I am, what I stand for and what I won't abide by, and I behave accordingly. It was hard work getting here, but I am here and I feel so appreciative of this gift of inner tranquility each and every day.

I'm with Unmoved here.. Cancer moon

Wow there are a lot of Cappy moon's!
I looked up my little Saggy son and he too has a Cappy moon.

I was kind of a nerd growing up. Not popular at all. So I hope my son has better luck in that area.

Cancer isn't always the most sociable sign, and my Cancer Moon can make me withdraw, but the 11th house placement is rather sociable.

I guess I'm equating sociable with popular. They're not exactly the same thing, but I think the former often leads to the latter.

Moon trine Neptune 0.7 degree orb and applying. Some people call me a dreamer but I'm not the only one.

I've also been thinking about the moon. Cancer is cardinal (in a sideways way), but the Moon is anything but cardinal. You could say that by being so elusive, it's mutable...or is it that it's silvery light waxes and wanes. Then again with a 1st house Sun, my light can be a bit golden.

Hi everyone! I'm actually new here.

I'm a Scoprio mooner, 8th house to be exact. And no, I'm not really popular--and I wouldn't have it any other way! I was never popular to be totally honest. I'm sure you probably saw that coming lol.

Its not that I'm unpleasant to be around or anything but I'm very introverted and prefer to be around a few close people. I'm really quiet so people like to make assumptions about why I'm so reserved.

Scorp31,
["I think it’s more a matter of valuing my independence and not relying on anyone. On the flip side, my family will seek my advice especially in business matters go figure."]

--Interesting, same here! especially on the Biz matters. I guess like me, you have Cancer MC too...If you dont mind me asking, what is it that you do?? and do you find yourself quite popular at work compared with being unpopular on the home front??

Venus de Milo,
["My mother and I have had a troubled relationship -- she is hyper-critical"]

--Yupz same here too. My mom's a total drill sergeant.

Isnt it interesting the same Moon & house placements gave all of us the exact same themes.

vertiver,

I'm not that bad. It depends on my mood I guess (Cancer AC).

I think Betty Boop nicely mixes the Aries Sun with the Taurus Venus plus a lil bit of Netpune. And the Cancer va-va-voom

Scorp31,

Very cool!...I've read Cancer MC people tend to work in media/film/etc...or with the public in general.

@pire,

I have no experiences with the people, like you are (except in the Forum).
I have contacts with educated and well mannered people.
Btw: my best friend is 34 years old.

It looks, something is wrong with you and not with me.

Do you know me personally to write that?
I am sure, you don't!

Who are you at all? I have seen that you are one man. Since when are men so mean?

B.

P.s. Pour moi t'es une totalment stupide femme (ou un homme)!

For pire,

"now, that's funny! I thought you were 60 or something! are you tired playing? do you want to upgrade the game now you have found someone who knows THE truth? does it become hard to keep pretending and nobody seeing the game? it's not worthwhile, ain't it? so I shouldn't play too? I won't. good luck."

Sorry, I didn't read all before.

What is the truth? If you think about my Chart, many members have seen that.

If you want to know the truth: I am "busy" with searching the cause for my chronic pains (sinusitis and neuralgias) since 21 years (I have them over 40 years). I have terrible pains since December 2000.
Do you want me, to send you my pains and my tears? Do you want me, to tell you what pains you are going to have? I am telling you: don't play with sick people! Never! It can come back to you as a boomerang.
If I wrote that, it doesn't mean I have something with them.
You better study how to read Natal Chart and then see what is wrong and what is not.
I am not paid to lie here. I am not the paid witness on the court, to lie for the money.

So many cap moons in one post,

I have a cap moon in 11th by 1 degree, so when reading about the 10th house I find I kinda relate to both in a way. It's opposite my venus in gemini, which I'm not too keen about. All the characteristics of that aspect fit me to a T!, but as far as popularity goes I've always been pretty well liked overall by a wide variety of people on the surface (aquarius rising)

lots and lost of acquaintances, I can do small talk in my sleep....but deep emotional connection, uhh....now that's a challenge. I tend to keep people at arms length, and prefer not to depend on people : / a bit of a habit.

That is interesting Nadiya, cause it seems like it is either or when it comes to popularity verses lasting friendship. I seem to only be able to do one on one time with my friends, but its better than nothing and aquaintances can end being your enemies in the long run. I wonder if the 11th house cusp or planets in the 11th also flavor popularity? Cause I've got libra on the 11th H cusp, but Pluto is also in there, so intensity is the key word...

Cancer moon here. I was also perceived as a nerd in elementary and middle school, but I had a nice group of nerdy or otherwise shunned friends throughout. My personality though, was never cut out for cheerleader/class president or any of the other "shining" roles in high school.

As an adult I can be very outgoing (Aqua rising) but I still end up with a small core group of close friends. I am not a party mixer/circulator by any means. That whole scene turns me off. It's like I have anti-phony radar and I can see the posers from a mile away.

When I was young I was very shy, I did not liked to talk to people that I did not know.
Now I am very outgoing, Aries Sun Conjuct Venus, Sag Moon and Cancer Asc, people came to me and tell me everything under the sun and I start to feed people, they say I am a good listener I have a medium size group of friends.

Ok this is my theory. Popularity like anything else goes through phases, similar to the Progression of the Moon. I was pretty unpopular until my Progressed Moon in Sag. moved to the 1st house, now I seem to be fearless!
