My natal Adonis at 14Sco30 conjuncts my IC at 15Sco29 by 1 degree. How does that affect me? Like IC is the home...Adonis??? dunno  It also

hi Frozen Queen-Look at the myth of Adonis - it may resonate with themes in your life, since you have it conjunct Sun/Moon/Pluto.
Since it's on your IC, it'll increase its prominence since it affects all the angles. But how does it play it with 4th house issues i.e. home, family, foundations? And here's a link to a previous thread about Adonis conjunct Ascendant - does any of it relate?

Lightworker, I know Adonis' myth, I'm just not able to interpret it in my case(psychic drain).I know he was adored and loved by two women: Persephone in the underworld and Aphrodite on Olympus, but most interpretations of Adonis that I've read ref. a man's chart. GOD! I need help! ------------------

No. I was beaten up as a child but my home was probably the least libidinous place on the planet.Which is why I'm so confused. It just doesn't make any sense ------------------

Adonis is also a symbol of reincarnation, of youth and rejuventation.
He was killed but was resurrected as a beautiful flower.Maybe that implies that Adonis could also mean the ability to get up again, after having been pressed down, and find new ways to live, to express oneself?
In a female horoscope Adonis also could relate to men she finds beautiful and alluring. Not in the primal sexoriented sense, but in a misty, sensual alluring sense.
In my chart Adonis is on 27 Libra in 10th house.
I definitely have a flaw for "beautiful" men in the public eye. Can`t help it. Actually thtree of the men I find most beauitful / handsome, have their Moon conjunct or opposite my Adonis. In one case his Mars-Adonis-conjunction falls onto my Venus (too bad he has recently gotten married  ). Adonis on the IC means deep inside the core of your soul you have maintained a youthful beauty, the ability to see beauty around you, even if everyone else sees only dirt. IP: Logged |

That def. resonates with me but then I have this whole Scorpio/Pluto resurrection Phoenix rising from the ashes motif very strong in my chart. The attraction part is right though: I  sexy brainiacs  [Adonis in Scorpio in 3rd] ------------------

Yes, Ami,
asteroids ARE literal, very specific, whereas planets have a broader range of meaning. Though the way their meaning is being derived, is basically the same.(though I know that some astrologers have a different approach) IP: Logged |

I was asking you these questions not to be rhetorical, but because I don't know the answers myself. I can't find much info about what ramifications are for a woman, either.
That's why we all know these boards are great, because through this shared experience, we can figure it out together, hopefully!
I think Adonis has less to do with sexuality and more to with an ideal - so your being attracted to a brainiac definitely would fit! Also if it's right on your IC, maybe has something to do with an ideal (idealized) home? IP: Logged |

I thought about it, DD. With an IC in Scorpio and Mars in 8th, I was subject to a lot of violence as a kid. I used to hate my father, thirsting for the day I would become strong enough to avenge myself on him. But as I grew up, I realised that vengeance will not heal my wounds. I still get sudden swells of anger that were long-suppressed but I have come to accept that hatred always begets hatred. If someone was negative towards you and you become negative towards them, then what difference there is between you and him? I know a lot of people have had very negative experiences in their lives but I fail to understand their hatred and it makes me sick because by not knowing, they are hurting themselves. I am an idealist and it hurts me to know people believe answering hatred with more hatred will resolve everything. ------------------

ariscopisgrl:For an asteroid like Adonis, we use an orb of 3 deg max. So your Adonis DOES NOT conjunct your IC even if they're in the same sign. But it does conjunct your Eros and Hypnos. ------------------

Also, the number for the asteroid is 2101 which is peculiar given that my DOB is 21.10 and I see combinations of these numbers everywhere (2 ones, a two and a zero)IP: Logged |

Nothing to be embarrassed about, 21arc! Asteroids are LIKE that.I'm in a similar situation now. My sister would always tell me that I was a narcissist and I would say it was just self-love Guess what, asteroid Narcissus is exactly conj my Sun/Moon conj and also conj my IC(2 deg) and asteroid Adonis(3 deg).
