Great write up!

Looks like some of your planets that easily id aspects are tied in with your AC-DC:

Your Sun - rules your Asc
Your Merc - is cnj your Dsc

Is your Sun in the 7th?

Makes sense that when first meeting someone, our planets in angular houses/ruling the angles would be first in line to shake hands.

Where are your Jupiter and Saturn? Can you better sense that aspect when you're Jupiter or Saturn? Or does that not matter?

I know that Jupiter-Saturn vibe you're talking about & like it too. I've never had it in a love relationship, but have had it in business/friendships.

Ah, MM.

In which house is your Venus?

What degree is your Venus?

I can relate to those planets hitting my ascendant/descendant axis. Taurus Sun or Moon, has been the most frequent for several years now (it used to be Scorpio). The last one, I was trying to figure out if he had an Aries Moon or Mercury (or both), a Sun in Aries or Taurus - his Moon is conjunct his Taurus Sun, and sextile his Mars/Saturn, his Mercury is in Aries, conjunct mine. His progressed Venus was also conjunct my Sun, at the time. I also knew he had to have some water - maybe Pisces, like my Dad- because of the softer, more romantic side that he would let slip. He's also prone to depression, but can also be more firey.

I'm the Saturn in a Jupiter/Saturn trine, and I can see that. Venus was there, too, but a few degrees further away (same sign).

From the above post, directed at Melody:

True.

What timing you have, my fellow Sco Asc. I found out earlier today that someone I know has her Asc cnj mine. That's an aspect I haven't yet been able to name. I do feel an affinity, but I've never once thought to myself, "Asc conjunction!"

Maybe that's the nature of angle-angle contact? Planets bang into one another or an angle, while angle-angle contact feels more gentle (but deep). edit: Gentle's not really what I mean. Structural? Like you have similar filters.

Hey Jane,
No, my Sun is in H8, so it's not angular...but it is the highest in my chart so maybe that counts for something? Prob not

My Moon is conj the Dsc, though..but from H6..if you're speaking of being tied to the axis.

My Saturn is conj the Ic, from H3. It's in Libra, and then my Jupiter is in H4, though it's not conj the Ic, and it's in Scorpio.
More often than not they have Jupiter in Gemini trine my Saturn, or Saturn in Pisces trine my Jupiter. And I guess it's a case of having encountered so many that I can tell right away. I was mentioning on another thread how I can spot Saturn in Pisces because they have this sense to them of being lost at sea, and it comes through in their eyes, and my Jup Scorp just wants to save 'em. Then I can spot Jup Gemini cos they really are the nervous talker types (I'm saying the ones I've met) that are quite youthful , so it's a sense of what traits are emphasized that's how I'll know.
But having studied synastries I can tell for example when my Jupiter starts kicking in (like if its conj their sun) I know its qualities and what it means for my chart forwards and backwards. Don't know if I explained that well enough?
OMG can you tell I have Mercury sq Jupiter?!
This one's like with Mercury sq Mars, I pay more attention to how the more inner planet acts cos it's easier to spot, so in this instance it's Jupiter, and just see if it's my scorpio at play or their gemini, because i know the end result, which is the feeling from the aspect.

But, yes, to me it is definitely further confirmation that this stuff works (!)

I should've been able to call out some bad pluto aspects with last relationship! Man, it was exactly like a black cloud moved over me as I passed the event horizon of a black hole...

if that makes sense! haha.

Lonake,

Would you share the aspects so I can check them out? Also, would you say what effect is like?

I have pluto opposite sun, which has pretty much crippled my bravery... every time I feel like I'm full energy, full spirited and shining, some dark plutonian energy/person comes along and knocks me down into the abyss...

i've no actual conclusive up-to-date data .. can't check for accuracy ..

however .. rekon i pick up on pluto contacts a mile off ..

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
" There is often a quality of accumulated energy which is bound to erupt at any moment surrounding Pluto
and also in a more subtle way surrounding people who have Pluto prominently placed or respond to Scorpio strongly "
Liz.G ( from a book synastry section )
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

i've 10 charts here of varaious types of non-internet personal friendship contacts ..
shock horror .. pluto-mars contacts are in every one ..
( edit ) .. but if asked i instinctively could pick up on mars-pluto .. the answer would be .. no ..
( so it must be other pluto contacts that get my radar buzzing warning signals :-)
i'd go for a 'contact fair' ..
i.e. meet up with a big group some like minded folk ..
mix .. .. 'n try and pick up on and quess the synastry contacts

could be a bit scary .. :-/

Yes, absolutely. I have also become a pro at spotting these occurences.

Usually moon-mercury aspects(if good) can feel like you two really understand and "get" each other, especially when from both sides.

I know a lot of people who have a Taurus moon. At first I thought that the Cancer moon made it easy for me to get along with them, but I think Capricorn mercury was more the reason.

I once arrived at a party, very late, and this one girl(whom I didn't know that well) came to me and said:

"It's great to see you,I don't know why but I really feel better now that you are here."

I was confused by this comment but upon looking at her chart(she celebrated her 27th birthday a week before and I quickly did her chart),she has her Taurus Moon forming a very close trine with my mercury.

This aspect is also a love-link and contributes greatly to "incompatible" signs getting on.

And I also agree that the Moon-moon opposition can be horrible.

Sun in Sagittarius
Moon in Cancer

Yes, probably not. Not on its own, at least. But that, along with the Sun ruling your chart may make your Sun skilled at this.

Then again, it sounds like pretty much all your planets can do this. So I'd say it's a Lonake talent in general.

Interesting that your Moon and Saturn both contact your angles.

You did.

Not at all, but maybe now I'll be able to spot that aspect in the future. That was the first labeled example I've seen of it.

Astro's incredible, isn't it? You'd think I'd be used to it. But still whenever I see the charts confirm the aspect, I'm surprised and giddy.

"Contact fair" I'd attend.
That's kinda how I go through my day. Feeling which aspect ride someone takes me on.
