Has this ever happened to you? You meet someone and you suddenly KNOW a synastry aspect you two have. This is a Moon-Moon cnj, you think. So then you get their astro info and lo and behold, you have that conjunction. This has happened to me many times. It's one of the reasons I'm convinced astrology is real. I've never experienced this intuition & then not had it confirmed by the charts. For me it happens the most often with conjunctions. Several times I've sensed conjunctions between our Psyches (asteroids aren't real, my @ss!), our Moons, our Mercuries, and Moon-Mercury. I've recently called out someone's Venus square my Neptune. Y tu? Which aspects do you most accurately sense when first meeting someone? IP: Logged |

Jane I love this question. It happens very often with Mercury conjunctions and trines. I always know we have this because I love talking to them. Maybe Mercury is obvious on first impressions. It hasn't really happened with Moon aspects. I can always pick Venus conjunct Mars. Actually if a guy has Taurus Mars at any degree I can usually tell. But I've had a lot of experience with Taurus Mars so maybe it's not so much me feeling the synastry - as it is their own *vibe* which is similar to that of other men I know. IP: Logged |

Hi Jane!,Yup, upon meeting someone, the strongest aspect I usually pick up on is someone's Sun or Mercury conjunct my Sun. Also someone's Pluto conjunct my Venus down to 3 degrees or less. IP: Logged |

I'm a little put off by opposing Moons in men - but it's probably because of my Sun which turns it into a T-square. IP: Logged |

Great Question, Ma Cherie Yes, I agree on the moon opposing moon with men. Perhaps, we can feel moon aspects more cuz moon may be the deepest part of ourselves. I could never marry or be the Significant Other of a moon opposed moon.

I like opposed moons in friends, though. In fact, my best friend, now, has it. Opposite moons are opposite ways of feeling out life, maybe. Cap moon is a totally different animal than I, Cancer moon. I watch them and learn how to go about life differently . I appreciate this but in my SO, I need more of a warm fuzzy moon ------------------ Pluto conjunct Dejanira, Girlfriend. IP: Logged |

I don't think that I want to be with a woman whose Virgo Moon is in opposition to my Pisces Moon. I'd do fine with another Pisces Moon, if she can deal with activating my lunar t-square with Saturn-Jupiter-Neptune. If it trines my Sun (which trines my Moon), then it can work out as there is an underlying basic harmony. After the last experience, I am not too crazy about Scorpio Moons even if they conjunct my Sun and trine my Moon. Geez seems like I'm the only fan of opposing Moons! Perhaps it has to do with the fact that my own Moon is conjunct my ASC, so opposing Moons are on my DSC...?IP: Logged |

I have had the Moon opposite Moon before... I was totally intrigued but never again. The two people I care about the most and would do anything for, when I finally looked at their charts it was years after we started our friendship, both of them have their moon in Taurus conj to mine... it was like a Ah Ha moment! Since we're still talkin' Moons - I had negative experiences with (Moon opp Moon) friends also. A person who I thought was my closest friend for years, betrayed my trust and gossiped behind my back about things that were personal to me. But this was not an opposition by degree. By degree her Moon is opposite both of our Neptunes (she has this in natal as well, since Neptune is generational). Could this girl ever lie! It drove me bonkers. A second person - I don't remember the degree of his Moon sent me nasty messages and stalked me. I wrote about him on here at the time I think - He was of a different culture and it was very imp. for him to get married - he was stuck on the idea of marrying me. I was 17/18 and not at all interested in marrying him. When I stopped contact he began sending me nasty messages like "you're a bi*tch! you said you loved me" - "you better watch your back" etc He stalked me, called constantly - left nasty voicemail, emailed etc. He sent me a disgusting message saying he has sex with his gf D-style and pictures me. One of the worst experiences I've had! The only Cancer Moon person I had a positive exp. with was much older and a family member. I need to look into this though - I wonder if the Moon is Gemini if I change the time. The best Moon signs for me are: Gemini, Scorpio, Leo. (Sometimes Taurus/Aries). :edit: I know this is all off topic - sorry Jane! I noticed something interesting. I only have three aspects to my Moon. - square my Sun (ruler of Leo) - sextile my Mercury (ruler of Gemini) - very close quintile to Pluto (ruler of Scorpio) And those are my fave Moons ^^ IP: Logged |

Your planet that can easily name the synastry aspect it's part of - what makes that planet strong for you? For me, I have them in a tsquare in angular houses. (Moon in 10th opp Psyche in 4th, square Mercury in 1st.) That probably makes them hyper alert. Plus all 3 outer planets tap into that tsquare. I find the conjunctions between the same planets easiest to identify bc that's not a complex energy. It's one thing getting amplified. The only cnj I regularly name that doesn't involve the same planets is my Mercury and their Moon. But that one's probably easy for me to know bc I have a Moon-Mercury aspect natally. I did recently advance to identifying the square between different planets. Moving on up. But I had help with that one. First, I already knew his Sun sign. Second, he made a comment that sounded like my Neptune was hitting him hard. Finally, he said something that sounded very Venus-Neptune. His Sun sign could've allowed for his Venus to be square or cnj my Neptune. I thought the square fit better bc his comment sounded like it was coming from that sign. So this case was different from all the others bc I didn't feel the synastry aspect. I deduced it from his comments. I guess that's bc he's the personal planet and I'm the outer. IP: Logged |

Betty - quote: Maybe Mercury is obvious on first impressions.
Good point! We meet, we talk. So we're going to get a sample of how we fit together on that level right from the start. If I instantly started having sex with people, then I'd know precisely what they were doing to my Mars. Perhaps I'll start testing that out. "Astro research. On your knees, boy." I'd always be hoping for some Pluto contact. Anyway, congrats on your win! You get a year's supply of Rice a Roni. IP: Logged |

amowls -I'm addicted to that Vertex feeling. The Node one too. I know when something's happening there, but I've never been able to name precisely what it was. Like, couldn't name if it was their Sun on my NN or their angle on my Vertex. Just knew it was something that made me feel a little like Alice in Wonderland on ecstasy. quote: I can only do this with aspects I've experienced before.
Yeah, that helps me a lot too. I think the ones I've felt for years now (conjunctions between our Mercuries, Psyches, Moons) have been the easiest bc I've experienced my own placements inside me my whole life. Your prize is - a stun gun. Almost as electrifying as the Vertex! IP: Logged |

Agent -You mentioning aspects with your Sun reminded me that Venus-Sun aspects are easy for me to identify too. Unless I know the person's Sun sign, I can't tell what type of aspect it is though. I just know we have something going on in a Sun-Venus way and can usually tell which planet I am in that pair. Your prize - a trip to Niagara Falls! Almost as powerful and life-threatening as Venus-Pluto. IP: Logged |

Lara, Ami, and dino -You get an autographed copy of Paula Abdul's "Opposites Attract." I can't identify a Moon-Moon opposition, but I can usually tell if someone has their Moon in Aqua (my opp). I'm often attracted to them in a family way, probably bc I have Aqua on my IC. IP: Logged |

Jane (!) All the time!I'm best with: Sun conj Mercury ---- this is obvious cos from the sun to merc its a blab-a-thon, if they're blabbing to me about not the norm things, i know theyre early aqua sun, and if all of a sudden i feel the urge to not shut up and i'm going on and on to this poor quiet self-effacing soul, i know for sure their merc is pisces on my sun, it's worse with my sun conj cos the poor pisces mercs that i know will *never* tell me to shuddup Moon conj Moon ---- obvious, and we also have the same down-turned smile, dry humor, etc. (capricorn) and then with my venus conj moon, i can also tell, cos i pretty much fall in love with all of them Mercury sq Mars ---- i'm so very sensitive to this aspect, i hate it the most! i can so tell where the tension comes up cos all i have to look at is either mine or their communication style, mine's easy breezy aqua annyoing the fuq out of someone who is stubborn and will *not* budge and reads wayyy more into what i'm saying than i intended (the taurus and scorp mars), OR theirs is either argument nailed in stone merc capricorn or whining merc cancer, and i *know* it's gonna be on the chart, drives me up the wall. wud else..... early Aries Sun or Moon trining my Asc ------- we get very high energy together and they're so much fun to be around, i feel that they let me be myself, that playful side of me. I never meet the other trine which is early sagittarius. ever. Moon conj Sun ------- their Pisces moon conj my Sun, that's easy to spot cos they follow me around sensing that I'm able to give definition to their world (my suns stronger cos my asc is leo) and i *know* they can sense the leo, it gives them strength to be around that energy since i'm not very wishy washy, but they can still relate to me. Jupiter trine Saturn ----- this one's out of the blue, but its one of my favorites in synastry, and there's a feeling like we are the best team, that we have a very strong bond and would be easily able to commit to each other, it just feels sooo secure. I actually see this as one of my "turn-on" aspects in synastry, go fig. There are others, i may come back to this. IP: Logged |

I said I can easily name Venus/Pluto. My planet would be Venus, though I have had a couple the other way around. Venus is easy for me because I am so Venus. Libra Sun, Libra Venus, Libra Uranus. So my Venus is always like, "Hey tall dark and handsome" *bats eyelashes and shyly looks down (and my 8th house stuff wonders for just a split second if he'll fall in line like an eager puppy dog) * and Pluto is always like, "Don'teventhinkaboutplayinggameswithmeIcanseeintoyourverysoul!... I mean, 'Sup." and then I'm pretty much smitten because I really like it when a man can see into my soul. ♥ lol and he's smitten right back because he likes it when a girl can see that he can see into her soul. and then it's on... the battle of Pluto and Persephone... yes, I said battle... this Persephone lives in the 8th house already and she will leave whenever she darn well feels like it (not just in the Spring when her mother calls)... and she might even take a house by the lake if she chooses.
