Me and a lot of other ppl have a Saturn in Libra conjunct natal Pluto in Libra (house 8) transit coming up.

Any help, advice, from survivors of this transit?

I'm not sure how to separate it from other things going on. I think this is a separating aspect for me, right now.

jeez I only know natal Saturn conj Pluto,
Basically it's an aspect of survival, fighting to survive.
Funnily enough t.Saturn was conj t.Pluto in the early 80s coinciding with the AIDS epidemic, for an example.
Saturn opp Pluto was prevalent for 9/11, it's not traditionally a good omen.
They're both connected to the devil, so to speak.
But mostly the combination is connected to structures that are collapsing and need to be re-worked, and that it can be very rough going, because the structure is the foundation upon which the identity is built. It can also make you strong like steel. I mean super human strength, beyond Mars.
Think of it maybe like an earthquake, with buildings that need to be seismic retrofitted to prevent future damage.

Like The Tower, in the tarot... I have the square, natally. Facing depressing things, and having to think proactively - I've actually been better at sucking it up, lately (except for when I was very sick).

So, Saturn showed up as the face of responsibility, re: the beginning of the AIDS epidemic, and having to be smarter about things that were spreading the disease (just one part of it.)

saturn conj pluto means you cannot avoid your pluto "stuff" whether transiting or natal. my father AND my daughter have this and so did most of my daughter's classmates growing up...from watching them i would say they have a predilection for situations and people that force them to confront their fears and other people's taboos, since they aren't quite so judgmental about pluto stuff...also they are people who CANNOT BE PUSHED into or out of anything really, though they can be led or supported toward less destructive decisions...

in transit it may be harder especially if your chart is full of softer aspects. IMO

i just had this - it's still kind of going on. my pluto's at 5 (and vertex at 6) and saturn's at 7 now. This is also opposite my natal sun and square natal saturn.

Have to be honest, was expecting something major, but it kind of came and went without fireworks. It was the last transit from saturn to a series of planets though, so probably hard to identify singly. Have definitely consolidated a lot of transformational elements that have been going on all year.

Although, now that I think about it...it's in my 6th house and since the beginning of August I've been working on a sudden change of creative partner which will affect my day to day life dramatically from now on and will have an effect on my entire company.

Thanks for the replies everyone.

Saturn moving thro' my 8th house has resulted in a devastating loss for me. Saturn will now conjunct Pluto (maybe next year).

Pluto will be entering my 12th house too.

.. sigh .. I wish Saturn and Pluto would just leave me alone .. what do they want from me?

Thanks for your post, ekf. Maybe nothing will happen .. I hope so.

katatonic: It would be really helpful if you could elaborate on what you wrote with examples maybe .. thanx in advance.

Pluto crossed my ascendant when I was eight (I think) - right around that time. I'll have to check later on... I'm curious as to what happened when it trined my Saturn in Cancer, from my first house.

If you find a relationship with a lot of Pluto in it, it feels like the same thing

in the end pluto teaches us that loss is not necessarily evil, and obsession can be a choice...someone who is unavailable & probably not good for me at all ...

you obviously already know that there is not much positive reason for dragging this out...you just have to process the loss.

jacque, my daughter connected with someone who could have been the end of her. she loved him and fought off all advice and attempts to point out what was going on. the end came from outside. he was shot dead point blank and not twenty yards away from her and died in her arms...this was pluto in spades. it took her a couple of years to process this and move past it.

i could give you more examples but i really feel as if that is other people's business and not mine to toss into the arena...

i have lived decades with my sun/pluto conjunction and the blessing was that i learned early that loss is part of life; i still get the bit between my teeth at times but i have learned my strength is within and not attached to anything external.

I've faced loss many times in my life .. but this one is different .. I don't think I'll ever get over this .. & if I do .. I don't think I'll come out of this with any of my goodness intact .. this loss will not end well for me.

jacque please take a step back, a breath, whatever it takes. no one person is worth ruining your life over. N-O-N-E and especially one who gave you the toss. your worth is not wrapped up in ANY relationship. even parents have to reach this awareness. our kids are not ourselves and at some point cease to be our responsibility...that much more with a love relationship which may have seemed wonderful but down the road you will wonder why you felt so obsessed. the reason for the obsession may just be to teach you that!!

This is my sense from my own experience and studying it----Jaque---WHEN did you have a terrible loss in childhood that practically broke you?
Did you have a parent leave? Were you molested?
There must have been something really big cuz you are replaying it---with this guy.

What do you think?

You might check your Nessus and Dejaneria asteroids with him.

wow, Jacque I didn't realize how sensitive you are right now. My comment was from a detached perspective and just my opinion. Maybe it's reflected in Pluto being conj my Ic, but I'm used to it. Right now I see all (most?) loss as a way to gain spiritual strength, which is what I'm aiming for right now (basically to prepare myself for my death, so I will face it completely unafraid).

I don't want to say anything else on this thread as it may upset you, so this will be my last comment here..maybe my last comment to you for a while

There are Pluto transits that can feel good. I still haven't looked to see when Pluto crossed my ascendant, but it may have been around the time that my mother left her sociopathic boyfriend (and moved us away from his influence).

no molestation, but abandonment yes .. I guess that's playing out again ... but I don't know what I'm supposed to do with this awareness, information?

Lonake, you haven't upset me, please say what you feel. I'm only trying to understand .. if you want a Pluto transit, I want to understand why .. it's my way of hoping beyond hope that something good can come off these horrible transits .. so lets hear everyone's stories (if they wanna share?)

teasel, I think maybe u're right. It's probably not the person but losing that deep connection & a relationship that I guess I valued and appreciated more than they did. also the time & energy invested, I gave so much, only for it to all go wrong & to be doubted & misunderstood & pushed aside so easily, all that time, all that effort .. all gone to waste on something that I thought would last forever. How can I come to terms with letting go of someone who's always been a very important part of my life?
