I am having tremendous difficulty receiving my Student Visa. My flight is one Wednesday, but the chances of receiving it before/by then are looking very bleak. If you have horary experience I would MOST ARDENTLY appreciate some help answering this question:"When Will I Receive My Student Visa?" My Transits: IP: Logged |

You are Mars, the Visa is the Moon (I chose the 9th house since you need it for foreign travel and it's a document). There's an applying square by 1 degree, so it's coming, but it's in a fixed sign so I guess a month? IP: Logged |

EDIT: Amowls,I think you were looking at my Transit/Natal Chart. I misplaced the images- the top is my question, the bottom my transits. In the question I am Jupiter, in the first, conjunct Uranus. Jupiter is retro right now- not good! The 9th (ruling travel/documents, as you said) is also ruled by Jupiter...? IP: Logged |

From looking it up on other sites, Angular houses mean the time frame is slow, and the Mutable signs means "medium" time frame. The first house is traditionally ruled by Aries, which apparently means 3 days, and Pisces means 2 days. So in two to three days I should receive it? I also read that reading how far away the Moon is from, in my case, the 9th house cusp can also give me a time frame. It's not quite a full 90 degrees, so 2-3days should be on target?.. IP: Logged |

You're right meta.... the Moon is making an applying conjunction to Jupiter and it's in Pisces...So days would be an accurate assumption IP: Logged |

Thanks amowls!!!!!!!Would I count the distance between the Moon and Jupiter then? They're about 27 degrees away from one another, so perhaps 27 hours/1.125 days? Or.. IP: Logged |

Ami,Weeks from TODAY? Or when I posted it on September 20th? It's been a week and a half already. Lara, My paperwork got messed up when I applied for the student visa. It was entirely my fault that the right things weren't sent in on time, but I've spent the past 3 weeks trying to amend the situation. I've spent almost $1,000 in trying to sttain this visa. I can't leave without it. Well, I could, but they have my passport, so i REALLY can't go anywhere. IP: Logged |

Aqua,There are three parts to the visa application: online application, Biometrics (fingerprints) and then sending in another application/bank statements/passport/CAS Number/etc. to the British Consulate in New York. Instead of mailing the third part in, i brought it to my biometrics appointment (because I misunderstood), so it was never completed. I received news on the 14th of September that it wasn't complete, so I mailed it overnight to a courier service in New York. They told me I would have it in one to two business days. Long story short, the courier service guy told me he wasn't going to put my order through, so my University advisor stepped in and told him he had better! So the courier service guy charged me a Priority fee to send it to the NY Consulate last Tuesday, and said I should have it by the end of the day. So, I drove to NY to pick it up, and when I got there he said it wasn't done. No explanation, just said it wasn't done. That was a week and a half ago. MY ADVICE! DO EVERYTHING EXTRA EXTRA EARLY AND MAKE SURE IT IS COMPLETELY CORRECT!!!!!! Otherwise you will end up like moi. IP: Logged |

thanks i am sure you will get your visa. i knew a girl years ago she had a hard time getting her visa to italy, she ended up missing a week of classes. it was so frustrating for her too. my classes start the 2nd of november going to italy. but i am going to a language school and painintng classes for 6 mo. i am going to the 4th of october. i wanted to go in august last month but i am supposed to have 1,000.00 min. each month i am staying overseas. so i didnt have that much money that time, i had half of that. so i had to borrow money from my mother, so now i have over 6,000 in my bank to show them my statements! what a headache! i never head of biometrics, i dont have to do that. for me its visa application. letter from the school, passaport, photos, bank statement and thats it at least i think. i better check. lol. so you aer supposed to leave for the UK already? Aqua,I would definitely check on your visa application. I'm pretty sure the application process is the same for everyone- no matter where you go. Did you apply online already? You're supposed to apply 3 months before your trip. I applied back in July. My flight for the UK was September 22nd, but I had to cancel, obviously. Ami, It's ok. I'm just grateful you looked at the chart. Any insight is better than roaming around in the dark. IP: Logged |
