When Tr Neptune was conjunct my Venus I was 14 years old and fell in love.
Ironically I had been dreaming, around that time, that Neptune was exploding. My first dream of that sort ever, and I believe it is what really led me to astrology. Why would I dream of a planet?
Plus I was having my first real psychic experiences during that time, when Tr Neptune had just left Venus and was exactly squaring my Pluto and conjunct my Spirit. Pluto rules my 12th house.

Tr Neptune was semisquare my Venus in 2007 EXACTLY at the time I`ve had some spiritual and personal revelations and very unlikely dreamy encounters. Interesting. Seems the semisquare is more effectful than I would have thought before. lol

I was just looking at my transits for summer of 2006 (1st september).

Tr Mars squaring Sun and Mercury
Tr Pluto conjunct Sun and Mercury
Tr NN square Sun and Mercury

Tr Saturn opposing Moon
Tr Neptune conjunct Moon

Tr Uranus conjunct Jupiter (and squaring NN)

How on earth did I survive?

Ugh I hate Pluto. I am so thankful that it will never conjunct any planets throughout my life again but over the next few years it will oppose all my planets in cancer.

I was wondering if Neptune and Venus transits are not good to start any relationship because there's the risk of being delusional or misled about the othe person.

ooh, this happened to me not long ago. and i only realized it after the fact.

i had transit neptune right on my natal venus and juno at 18 aqua in my 11th house. i fell madly, insanely in love with someone i collaborate with at work. i met him in March 2006, right as neptune crossed 18 aqua for the first time (retrograded over). all of a sudden i was convinced that he was going to be the love of my life, a perfect husband, that i could somehow carry on a perfect relationship with him despite 10000km distance.

he was horrible, manipulative, selfish, with a world of issues to figure out and, to boot, there wasn't even really that much attraction.

anyway it went on for almost three years and then one day we had a fight (nothing unusual) but i just decided that was it and we still work together but there is noooo tension, unresolved anything. he's actually getting married next week and we're cool.

the last fight we had was when neptune hit 22 aqua.

How soon into the transit did you think he was so perfect lol.

That is exactly what i am afraid of. I want to see the truth rather than just fall in love.

I have this coming up- I have a slew of Neptune transits coming up - and I'm trying not to fear it, since Uranus hitting the same planets was mostly positive for me.

I'll probably shut myself away and get lost in my painting again. Take care of things in my own little bubble, and leave it at that.

Belgz,

a Neptune transit can have both expressions, if you fall in love; it could be with a true soulmate of yours, a true spiritual union, or it could be one big pile of illusion.
Unfortunately you won`t be able to see what it is, before it`s gone.

Oh and I love Pluto.
It was the BEST time ever!
REally. Sure it was an intense ride, but it was worth every step of the way.
If I could do it all over again, I would. I would jump right into it.
Especially when Tr Pluto was conjunct my Sun - oh WOW, what a great experience!

Now don´t let us talk about Tr Saturn making squares or oppositions to my chart though.

Anyway, Tr Pluto conjunct Mars was probably the hardest, and it really was a tough one, and I wouldn´t want THIS one ever again.

But as I said Tr Pluto on my Sun - yes, please!

Tr Neptune conjunct Moon - yes in a way I was in my own little bubble.
It also reopened the door to my spiritual Self in big ways, I have always had psychic experiences and vivid dreams, but since Tr Neptune was on my Moon - oh wow, they were just raining down on me. lol
At the same time I was having pr Mercury conjunct pr Venus conjunct pr Antivertex on my natal Moon and transited by Neptune. Mercury rules my 7th house, Venus rules my 5th house and Moon rules my 8th house.
The conjunction took place in my second natal hosue. Before that I actually didn`t analyse and was fascinated with relationships that much as I seem to be now, if you look at my fascination with relationship astrology. lol
Actually this conjunction happened exactly on my natal URANIA.

It didn`t lead to a relationship, no, but it led me to open up a lot, and it actually made me participate in living again, instead of just observing from a higher place, as it often had felt.

Oh and yes of course it confused the hell out of me. It is still Neptune after all. lol

I fell MADLY in love! This was when Neptune was opposite my Venus in February of this year. February was the 2nd "hit," the 1st hit was in May 2009, and when I looked back in my journal to that time I saw that I was really sad and longed for a relationship like I hadn't in years. It's hard to say though, because every time Neptune was affecting me, Chiron was also opposite my Venus so I'm sure that was affecting things too.

It felt like (and still feels like) soul mate love. We'll see what happens, as it will be opposite it again in a week or 2 and then for the last time in December. Chiron will oppose Venus for the last time in November. Also, about a month after this 2nd Neptune/Chiron - Venus opposition, Pluto squared my Sun exactly. So it's been a roller coaster! We got together for a few weeks and both knew it was a soul connection, both declared our mutual love, only to not talk for months. We did get back together though in June and it has been getting better and better...we've both had to change a lot though.

I'll get back to you next year and hopefully thing will be more calm. I am still with him though and still very much in love. Good luck, it wasn't easy for me but worth it.

"Seems the semisquare is more effectful than I would have thought before. lol"

shrugs

Uranian Astrologers and Cosmobiologists look at semisquare and sesquiquadrate instead of trine and sextile when looking at aspects.
They definitely use them with midpoints regularly.

Thy look at those aspects along with conjunction, opposition, square as event-oriened aspects.

Therefore it's no surprise that you found semisquares to be effectful.

Yes, I seem to find it again and again.
Since it`s a so-called minor aspect, I don`t trust it, but it pops up very frequently in transits as well as synastry, too.

Usually I am only drawn to guys with whom I share a tight Pluto aspect to Venus or Mars.
But there have been some instances where nothing of that was being found, yet when I digged deeper the semisquare popped up in very narrow orb like a little jack-in-the-box.

I have the sesquisquare natally, between Sun and Neptune. I remember that from the times I opened up my chart on my Canopus (clairvision) software, years ago. What sort of effect would that have on a person? (I can't remember if they gave explanations for the minor aspects.)

*edit. My upcoming transits, when Neptune moves closer to/into Pisces are:

trine Uranus/ascendant
square Moon, Venus, Nodes and Vertex
conjunct Mars (and the first of the Lilith asteroids at 4*Pisces).
Pallas is there, as well.

Maybe something like a watered-down version of the Sun-Neptune-square?

But don`t really know, maybe Glaucus knows.

belgz, i pretty much knew immediately. there was an immediate pull that i ignored for about a year and then it got to be too much. i probably told him right about a year and a half in.

i am only telling half of the story, in addition to falling insanely in love with him, he was also responsible for opening up a creative side in me that had been completely closed - or at least not woken up - until then.

so while there was an impossible love affair (which we never consummated) that through me into the deepest depression i've known yet, there was also an artistic awakening in me. he was definitely a soul mate as so many things dominoed as a result of me knowing him.

the guy i lost (for better!) but the creativitiy i get to keep. so all in all not a bad transit.

also, i didn't know about astrology at the time and so couldn't keep an eye out for it

Well I was starting to feel funny in my stomache for that guy that I posted up about before that I met recently.

Anyways I told him he was too clingy and called me too many times and now he stopped calling me

I don't chase any guy even if I am dying without him I just can't being myself to do it. So I havn't called him either.

Whats funny is that a week before I met him I kept getting that funny feeling in my stomache like I am in love but I wasn't even seeing anyone. How strange is that?

Now I have this constant turning sensation in my stomache. It's making me lose my appetite.

I too have Transit chiron opposing venus along with neptune opposing it.

I am thinking that he didn't dissapear because of what I said but because he recently found out he might have prostate cancer the day that he stopped calling he told me the results.

I had tr. Neptune semisquare Venus in the fall of 2003, it explains %100 what happened to me during those times. I was decieving myself and was being decieved by a person whom I thought I was "in love", we totally messed each others lives up! lol. The relationship began when SA Sun opposed Pluto, my 5th house ruler. It "destroyed" everything I had at the time. I was so stupid and blind, thanks to Neptune.

Neptune also dissolves anything it touches. Venus rules my 11th, I lost all my friend circle when I opened up to my ex best friend about what I was dealing with. She stopped talking to me after that. I guess she was secretly in love with me and my relationship with that person really hurt her feelings, so to protect herself she decided to cut our friendship off. She was very disappointed with me.

Venus rules your 8th, Belgz. Your meeting with this guy who wants to turn one of his sex (8th house) fantasies (Neptune) into reality with you fits a lot to Venus/Neptune. You need to be very careful if you don't want to regret it later. You have an advantage of being able to use Astrology for your best interest, if I were you I would try to focus on spiritual things till this "I want to fall in love" crisis period passes.

MMH, for me Neptune didn`t dissolve anything, when Tr Neptune was semisquare my Venus, except for some stupid thoughts about myself.

Venus is ruling my 5th, 6th and 10th house.

Hi DD,

I think how the outer planets manifest themselves, good or bad, depends a lot on where one's focus in life is and how much spiritually developed/enlightened a person is. When I had that transit, I was 19 and I was going through a major depression, Saturn was transiting 12th and squaring Sun. I was also not this much into Astrology those days. So for me, it manifested as "illusion/loss in relationships". I would handle it better, if I had that transit now.

So maybe Neptune semisquare Venus didn't affect you negatively, because your focus in life at that year was towards spiritual things?

Also, was that a platonic love, the one you had when you were 14?
