Are they different aspects for males than they are for females?
What are the general aspects that floor people so much, that they fall inlove at first sight?

I know there is a similar thread going on with DD's.. Lustful asteroids... but I was also wondering... from your experience, knowflakes, what synastry aspects have you established as having been responsible for falling head over heels for someone on first sight... and is this different for men and women?

I agree Ami. Have you ever experienced this aspect with someone? Who was the Uranus?

I just found this thread in the ethers of Google!

I do believe in love at first sight..it's not just lust and nothing more, although some people can mistake it as such, anyway

Sure, one had a strong composite square of Moon/Mercury/Venus/Uranus
Another composite has Venus sq Uranus
Another in synastry has Venus opp Uranus

Generally love at first sight is attributed to Venus/Uranus in the planetary strict sense

Others know better regarding the significance of asteroids with this

I have Uranus aspects with pisces..
Both ways..

His venus sq my uranas
his uranus sq my sun,moon,mercury..

Im not sure what it was but I never wanted to seduce some one so bad... (rolling eyes)

Looks wise he's not the "typical" guy I go after..

I was drawn to him for 6 years, before we acted out on it.. He said that he "wondered" about me for a long time..

sorry thats all the info I got out of him. At lease I got that..

Here is an extract from Lyn Birbeck... I loved his interpretations of the aspects... This is what he says about Venus/Uranus aspects and the cojunction
Ok, here is the other aspect that Mr. Birkbeck seems to feel that is a very important in Synastry:

Venus Conjunct (uniting with) Uranus
Love Brings Change
This is one of the most powerful mutually and instantly attracting interactions
in the book ~ literally. One, or probably both, of you is swept off their feet
by the extraordinary, possible otherwordly, quality they perceive in the other
person. You are also both drawn to the style and/or beauty of each other. In
fact the actual circumstances of your meeting could be otherworldly in some way,
presaging the unusual nature and course of your relationship itself. If we take
a brief look at the Greek myth of the god Uranus it wil give us some idea of why
this is such an irresistible attraction. Uranus was the 'god of gods', Heaven,
who lay across Gaia, the Earth, and Creation then came about. One of his sons,
Saturn, strongly disapproved of his random way of ruling and deposed him by
scything off his sexual organs and casting them into the sea. From the blood
and foam of his severed genitals Aphrodite ('born of foam') or Venus was born.
so you can see what a strong pull there would be between the man and his member!
But the symbolism of this is that Uranus wants his power back and Venus wants
the freedom to wield it. What all this adds up to is that each of you sees in
the other an opening to make more of yourselves and life-although at the time of
meeting the feelings are mainly sexual, not surprisingly. But then surprise is
the element here, because the wind or tide of this interaction sets you off on a
course you wouldn't have accounted for - and quickly too. It is important to
recognize and understand the process that is going on here - namely that one or
both of you is being given a sharp awakening with regard to the nature of your
social/asthetic values and possibly unconscious, desire for change, and of the
unusual effect you can have upon others. Effectively then, this interaction
launches both of you into a very different orbit to the one you've been used to.
But once the excitement and pyrotechnics of the launch is over there is that
journey into the unknown to be reckoned with. What this is saying is that your
relaitonship is only going to be as stable as your awareness of what it's really
about and of where it's going. Failing this, and 'abort mission' light may well
start to flash as the intensity of the interaction becomes too hard to handle.
But this could simply be owing to your trying to repeat the thrill of the launch
when you are already in flight. Once airborne, the force of the relationship
could progressively take you somewhere new, refreshing itself as it goes. But
whether or not you continue to experience this together depends greatly upon the
presence of more long-lasting and stabilizing interaction - otherwise it could
just be a case of 'Wow! What happened there?'

Hi Quinnie,
Hope you are well

Aspects of love at first sight:
when your mother first lays eyes on you after your birth.
when you become wise, stop searching outside of yourself and look INward

Astrological, venus/uranus - although i think its more of a spark than love at first sight.

I think Venus Uranus has to be exact.

Otherwise factor in the Vertex, Sun/ASC, Aphrodite...

Hi Lara

Yes you are right about looking inwardly... Perhaps that's what Pluto aspects do... draw you into each other and yourself ultimately.

I find it interesting that Uranus sparks that get people's attention are not always long lasting... but I do think of Uranus as electricity and electrifying the planets it touches....Nothing like that feeling!

Raspberri... who's Aphrodite would aspect the sun/asc etc? The males?

Seelah... Venus/Neptune is dreamy... like a haze has come over someone... is it your Neptune or the other person's?

Lonake, yes the composite!

Although is Uranus indicative of a temporary or one-off connection with someone?

The guy's Aphrodite, except I have this in synastry:

His Aphrodite conjunct my Libra ASC exact
My Aphrodite conjunct his Taurus Moon exact
Plus his Vertex is conjunct my ASC
His Sun is also conjunct my ASC

This was an extremely intense meeting. Def love at first sight!

i have definitely noticed uranus transits to my venus as TIMES when i fell in love at first sight. it takes a lot more to make a relationship out of it though!!

and i agree with lara, it is when you are not looking outward that the love shows up for sure! in fact the number of people i have heard say "i finally just gave up on finding love, and pretty much as i turned round to get on with my life, there he/she was..." is too many to count!

Seelah, I have the venus/neptune square and tend to attract Pisces men or men who's neptune does something to my Venus or Sun.... They usually have Venus/Neptune aspects themselves natally.

Kat, although I agree with both you and Lara about finding love when it's "unexpected" and coming from something that shines inside-out... I still think that physical characteristics play their part. Like people's physical feature say alot about a person.I think we as human beings can scan a person within seconds and KNOW what type of person they are,, ie if they are introverted, good lover, talker etc... As in evolution I think genetics evolved as people determined what characteristics were attractive or attracted a particular type of person. And also people's mannerisms can change their physical features also...I think human beings inherently know this and understand at an instinctive level what has brought about these physical features.

Awww now I have gone off on one!

Quinnie, it depends on a lot, but in general the more Uranian the relationship is, the greater chance it has to succeed, when it has strong Uranus in synastry/composite.
A Uranian relationship allows for a lot of freedom & respect, and also is comprised of 2 people who by virtue of being together are stepping out from the norms of their culture.
It could also take the form of non-traditional living arrangements, and maybe the inclusion of other parties into the relationship.

Raspberri!... wow, how is that all playing out for you? As good as it sounds?

Lonake... I thought that too..I have had plenty of Uranus aspects from potentials... usually his Uranus aspected my Venus, but when it was my Uranus aspecting his Venus, it was a different story... we made a relationship out of it.
My moon is in Aquarius and it rules my 5th house... His 7th house was in Aquarius and his venus too...
I suppose Uranus HAD to be involved.

I don't have much experience with Uranus--either natal or in synastry.
In synastry, his mars trines my Uranus, exact.

However, I never had much experience with Pluto until ,now ,either.

That quote, above, is so true. If you want to know yourself,a Pluto relationship will show you ,yourself.

It WILL be painful but so much better than being numb which is where I was.

Pluto is the ultimate therapist, in a way, cuz you will be laid bare lol

I think I have some soul searching to do...

Raspberri, when venus and mars are involved in cross aspects, I think there are always challenges... battle of the sexes comes to mind?
You have plenty connections with your lover, and probably past life romantic connection too!

The biggst challenge we have is the fact that he needs to grow up...

But battle of the sexes? No.. We are very sexually attracted to each other.

We were just together the other night... Take a look at my horary question! haha
