Hello everyone! I hope everyone is having a pleasant day.

Here is my inquiry:

I have Venus (8 degrees) and Mars (7 degrees) conjuncting in Aries. My Vertex is in the 8th house at 24 degrees of Cancer.

My question is this: Since, right at the moment, Venus and Mars are conjuncting in Scorpio (which is the house containing my Vertex), it makes sense to me that this period of time MUST have some special significance to me in particular. I could only guess what that significance is though.

Does anyone have any ideas?

to tell the truth I am not sure I understand your question, are you saying tr. Mars/Venus must have influence on your natal Venus/Mars because these transiting planets are in Scorpio and you have Vertex in the 8th? to tell the truth I dont see any connection here

Venus and Mars are both conjuncting in Scorpio right now. My Vertex is in the 8th house. The 8th house is ruled by Scorpio.

I am not entirely certain about what exactly the Vertex means, other than it's supposed to have karmic influence. I learned that the Vertex is vague in it's very nature, so given that, I would think that Mars and Venus conjuncting where my vertex is would mean something.

I wouldn't think it would be a stretch. If the vertex is the "gate of destiny" and mars and venus are both chilling there for a minute, how is it a stretch to assume that that energy would effect me in a karmic sense? Especially with venus in retrograde. I've been feeling mad crazy lately in an energetic sense and with the way life is going. Does anyone even know anything about the Vertex in the first place???

The Venus/Mars conjunction is happening in Scorpio, not Cancer, where your vertex is. At most they will trine your Vertex, which doesn't do much. The vertex is only activated by hard aspects. Its a stretch to say that because Venus/Mars are in Scorpio, your 8th house Vertex will be activated. That's not how transits work.

What house does Scorpio rule in your chart?

Scorpio rules my 12th house, with my south node, Pluto, my moon, Saturn... and Vesta, if that has any bearing at all.

Things have been going so weird with me lately. When Saturn moved in to Scorpio, I went freaking NUTS. I'm just now starting to come down off an energetic roller coaster ride.

So the Vertex is effected by squares and oppositions only? Why? How does the Vertex work exactly? I learned about it only yesterday. Any info at all would be highly appreciated.

I mean, when it moved in to Libra.

I'm pretty sketched about Saturn moving in to Scorpio in a couple years because of where Scorpio is in my chart and how heavily aspected it is. My saturn return will also happen at about the same time. (!!!!!)

some people prefer to use only hard aspects for transits/progressions/solar arcs, I use both soft and hard, it's a matter of preference ... some info on Vertex:

Venus will retrograde back into Libra, but only to 27 Libra... too far to square your Vertex. Venus and Mars right now are at the beginning of Scorpio, so they won't trine your Vertex, either (maybe later after Venus retrogrades).

Saturn will square your Vertex in a few months, I'd watch for that.
