I feel protected too Diandra. I think we are special heheheh...

Lara I mean any aspect. Square, conjunction, opposition, semi square, quincunx, etc... It would have definitely made an aspect by now maybe once or twice or even more

I have Saturn square Pluto in my natal, as well, but it's a five-degree orb. Definitely felt.

My sister doesn't seem to be affected by all of her heavy transits, and she seems pretty happy with her life (not everything, but most of it). Pluto conjunct her Mars in Sadge, barely touched her - as far as she's telling me, anyhow.

Belgz,

1. You can't say nothing happened in your life when you had SA Pluto=Mars or it may have been the other way around. As you stated that was around the time of the bank issue. I believe the title of your post was something like "Am I Going To Jail?" or "Are The Police After Me?" The two biggest clues of that Solar Arc for that time was that you were worried about being confined (or "controlled" which is what it says in Noel's book). Also, Mars rules the police and you were very worried about whether the police were going to be involved. Although you didn't go to jail, you were definitely "financially controlled" (2nd House of finances) and you had a strong fear of the police. Not only that, the whole issue started because you took on a "kind of" brutal financial control into your own hands by making that transaction on your own when you shouldn't have. Also, it speaks to the very large amount of money that was being handled. That Arc also expressed "tremendous hard work" and it was a tremendous amount of hard work to get out of that situation for you and your grandmother.

2. The original question of this thread is about trauma connected to the SA Saturn=Pluto or transiting Saturn=Pluto.

I experienced this in 2008. First, Saturn rules my 8th and 9th Houses. 8th House of Finances and Death, 9th House of Publishing. Pluto rules my 6th House of work, employment and employees. I worked for a publisher at the time.

The first hit of Saturn to Pluto - my bosses brother died. I felt a general sadness for him, but that absorbed the first hit for me.

The retrograde hit of Saturn to Pluto - I was laid off and my position was dissolved, so I lost my job in January 2009, but I got another "temp to perm" job 2 weeks later, but decided not to take it after 3 months.

The 3rd and last hit of Saturn to Pluto, my Great Uncle died, he was in his mid 80's with Alzheimer's disease and it was expected.

Also, I didn't think this would matter as much when it happened, I was quite detached from it, but in a strange kind of "soul group" kind of way (not musical) it signalled the death of Michael Jackson for me personally and for an entire generation of people born in the mid-sixties who had the great generational conjunction of Pluto-Uranus in Virgo between the degrees of 15 Virgo and 18 Virgo.

We were the infants of those hippies you see in the Woodstock Documentary. The infants, the naked 2 and 3 year olds playing in the mud, we were the first to experience the little boy Jackson and grew up with him unquestioningly. That's why the world freaked out into mourning. An entire generation either had transiting Saturn on their Pluto or on their Uranus or on that midpoint of Uranus/Pluto.

Fascinating!!!

People often wondered why it was in the news sooo much and they forget that the generation running the media is the generation that grew up with him. So even if they hated him, they couldn't help but to report it with Saturn (death) on Uranus (media).

FASCINATING AGAIN!!!

As for me, I wouldn't say that I was "traumatized". I was expecting to fall into a depression, but I think that having the awareness of what was transpiring from my chart, I was able to objectify and also because I am a person who has been in recovery programs for 15 years now, I've learned to "Let Go and Let God" I've also learned that "God is doing for me what I can not do for myself." And this year and 9 months has proven those 2 statements a million fold.

3. Back in 2005, my mother experienced transiting Saturn conjunct Pluto and her husband died. He died the same day that the London Subway system was bombed on July 7, 2005. We were all sad, but it was another case where he had been very ill for a very long time, so it was expected.

The same thing happened for my father back in the summer of 2001. When transiting Saturn conjunct his Pluto, his mother (my grandmother) died. She was 77 and once again, it was expected.

So, there wasn't much "trauma" but a kind of knowing sadness, but not debilitating sadness. Once again, it all depends on how your chart is set up and knowing and understanding life cycles and how they are necessary. Also, tearing down and building up. It can be executive strength power if your chart is built a certain way, it simply signals a lot of hard work, but what you can end up building something so shiny and new and impressive if you do your best to set up the energy flow in the right direction. It's not a guarantee, but it can work. Also, remember that Saturn is maturity and everytime Saturn throws and event, it's an opportunity to make plans concrete and to gain wisdom.

Aw geez, I see that I've written a book. OK, I'll stop, but I just wanted to add these things.

i was born with pluto conj sun so by solar arc they remain conj and pluto is always there with me..lol...! transiting pluto conj my the year i was 11/12...not one traumatic thing happened that i can remember...except my exhusband was born! but i didn't know that then of course ..
but interestingly when tr saturn conj my pluto (and sun) i met said ex; when it hit my venus 10 degrees later we became a couple...and for the next umpteen years his pluto sat on my saturn and there was plenty of emotional trauma in that relationship and often in my life in general while i was in it.

when tr pluto conj my neptune and sq my mars i became actively involved in the music business as a performer. this was the original phase of the "punk" movement in england (where i was) and i guess there was a fair amount of violent energy running around the general environment...but for me it was all constructive and exciting;

when TRANSIT saturn squared my pluto/sun i fell to a heavy flu that became pneumonia and had a near-death experience; however this was not about connecting with the light etc but about telling death it couldn't have me yet...and experiencing an immediate turnaround towards healing (so fast the doctors were stumped!). very empowering!

as with much pluto energy the trick i think is to harness it to working for something much larger than yourself...if you are just seeking personal gain or progress it is too much like a steamroller and tends to bring trouble but if you are actively engaged in the "collective" energy it can be very supportive.

and it looks like next time pluto aspects my mars (2011 - from the 12th house as an opp) it is likely to be another period where personal concerns take a backseat in many ways to what is going on around us.

by solar arc pluto squared my mars/conj neptune about 7 years ago...my grandson was born. much of the stuff going on around this event WAS traumatic, but mostly by projection ...

I would write more about my Saturn transiting Pluto in the 11th, but I've already written about what I was dealing with, all over the place.

One of the biggest things I've been feeling is regret. I would veer in and out of feeling as though everything was happening as it should, up until last year (and my Dad, a few weeks ago, said to me, "Maybe everything *is* happening as it should be.")

Some of my regrets were over not pushing myself when it came to the social anxiety and agoraphobia. I found people to talk to on the internet (Pluto + 11th house, squares Saturn in the 9th, and opposes Jupiter in the 5th), and thought I was better off talking to people who were dealing with the same things as myself, than going in and talking about things I didn't want to talk about with someone who was putting me on the spot (it wouldn't have been an even relationship, and I didn't feel comfortable with the idea - this is back in 1996 and beyond) - and someone who wouldn't be really helping me, but would most likely be asking me to talk, asking me how I felt about that... and not doing much more. I knew people with SA who said that therapy didn't do much for them, and I wanted to find a support group for it, but of course, Social Anxiety = a lot of people who chicken out of actually going to the meetings.

I didn't push myself, and now it's driving me nuts - what I missed out on during those years. It was good for me in ways - I needed my space - but I should have pushed myself at least a little more. It's like Saturn was reminding me of my own confidence, my own Moon/Venus in Gemini, my Aries Sun and everything about me that had been so confident; reminding me that, had I "done my Saturn" as Anne Ortelee advised, I would have been in a position to strut that Pluto in my 11th, and that Jupiter in my 5th. My more talkative nature/my Gemini planets might have responded to to the talk therapy, and I could have been a success story.

I think my Aries wants to go back and do better, because I can clearly see how I could have done so much better, with people, with my life in general... I'm not so good at letting go, when I've made big mistakes.

The other things were, as I said, the realization that we're all aging - our ages started to show on everyone I know, over the past year - any wasted time, and the inevitable losses that will come. I was in such a low place last year, and that continued throughout this year - coming and going. I wasn't looking forward to Saturn hitting Libra again, and I'm fighting a "What's the point?" feeling, when it comes to seeking therapy, or anything else, now.

I've just skimmed katatonic's post above, because I have to run, but yes - I've had the feeling that if I were working in something bigger than myself (Pluto in the 11th) that I wouldn't have been feeling so badly.

Certain other things happened late last year, and over the Summer, that I don't want to talk about, so I haven't mentioned them - they had me at my absolute lowest. And three pets got sick, one passed away. I consider them to be friends and family, Teddy was one of my losses.

So Geocosmic, Kat and Teasel - are you ALL talking about trainsits to natal as opposed to SA's?

i just added a couple of progressions to my post, lara, realizing that i was mostly talking transits. however the ENERGY should be similar with transits AND progressions so hopefully it will help somewhat.

as i pointed out my SA pluto is conjunct my SA sun by definition.

i think this natal and lifelong conjunction is part of why i have been able to integrate pluto energies (finally) and why i always succeed best when i am working for more than personal gain...

I thought she asked about transits, as well as Solar Arcs.

The only SA that I'm aware of having between Saturn and Pluto, was a sextile, and that would have been maybe ten years ago? I think.

Hi Lara,

I think I was specifically going for transits to natal, especially since I may never experience SA Saturn=Pluto unless it's when I die which would be at some point in my early 80's, if I'm lucky enough not to get hit by a Mack Truck or something of that nature.

I have experienced SA Pluto=Saturn. It was my senior year of High School, which is 17 & 18 years old in the U.S. It was an extremely difficult year, very hard work in a literature class almost brought me to my knees, my parents were fighting over their house, my mother moved back in to stake her claim and they fought all the time. My brother and father actually had a physical fight - as a result my brother moved out and dropped out of high school 6 months before he would have graduated; my grandfather died. I broke up with a boy I dearly loved on my last day of school. Graduation sucked!! So that about covers the 9 month period of that Arc, but I can not say that there weren't happy times within that time period also. There were definite moments of mercy through out and I survived. After the Arc was over, I had the most adventurous summer of my life and the next year was virtually trouble free.

I've just had a bucket load of saturn and pluto

TR Sat conj N Plu
TR Plu squ N Plu
TR Sat opp N Sat
TR Plu opp N Sat
Tr pluto has still to finish with my north node, Neptune is about to stop opposing my sun and tr saturn has just finished squ my nodes

I've had 3 bereavements and a long term relationship breakup, the deaths were 2 significant females though not related to me and the 3rd was a school friend who dropped dead of a heart attack which was bad considering we're only 37. oh and one of my cats died.

It's been a stressful year, felt under pressure to make changes the whole time, the thing is I knew what needed to be done as saturn began the transit over a year ago and then spent 6 months making it happen (break up) though it was another couple of months after that before things got better

my finances are so tight its beyond a joke (natal pluto in 10th, saturn in 8th and by transit saturn was in 10th and pluto is in in the 2nd)
I haven't felt depressed as such just very tired and worn out. I should perhaps mention that my venus is close to my natal pluto so I've had saturn conjuncting that too and transiting uranus opposing my natal venus

sorry to bump in but i know i shouldnt have...looked at my chart cause of this...im learning not to go search for things before they actually happen, for not to worry in advance but...!

GEOCOSMIC Valentine

i will have the tr Saturn cj my nPluto/Saturn in 1st house - meaning that it will be also my saturn return.

this happening from september 2012.
at that same time iŽll be having:

Tr Pluto exact on my IC
Tr Uranus/Child exact on my DSC
Tr Karma on my Venus

SA:

sa saturn square Venus 11th
sa sun and pr sun =ASC
SA Moon= NN
SA venus semisquare Mars
SA Venus square neptune
SA Uranus kikunx Venus
SA ASC kikunx kiron and trine Child

Solar return:

SR ASC on natal ASC
sr asc ruler -venus on sr mc and natal mc
SR mars will be cj nSaturn
SR nn 2ND
SR ic/pluto obviously on nIC
SR moon 4th cj 5thcusp
SR saturn cj nSaturn and Tyche
SR child 7th cj nVertex7th
SR neptune/kiron in 5th
SR jup/ceres in 9th with Ceres cj nNN
SR karma 11th cj nFortuna/karma
sr tyche cj nMerc

saturn rules my 4th
pluto rules my 2nd
neptune rules my 6th
uranus rules my 5th
venus rules my 8th and 12th

so.what wouldyou say that are the probable influences?
my take is that with all those transits at the same time....big big and lots of sudden and unexpected changes...and with that saturn/Pluto transit that Belgz talked about...it is bit worrying.

Greeaaaaatttttt............

Everyones story made me want to crawl under a rock and hide.

GV yes you are right but I forget so quickly lol. I was freaking out that whole year but I guess once it's over it seems so easy

When my dads mum passed away it was just before transit saturn squared pluto. It was the least of my worries when I had that transit because that was the year I got married and that was just a horrible story on its own. My mother was a nutcase and within the same transit I was divorced too.

I must be some superhero to survive Transit pluto opposing moon and MC at the same time

Dont you just hate it when astrology makes you worry? I dropped everything yesterday so I can sit in front of my computer all day and get to the bottom of it. Then I woke up this morning and said "Whatever!!"

I have never predicted something in my own chart and been right, I am sure it is nothing LOL ................
