Ok gang, i'm officially confused. For important events in ones life l always thought SOLAR ARCS were the most revealing. Tonight, l see people writing about TRANSITS being really revealing - so which is it? Another thing that confuses me is on which type of event is the most profound aspect. So is moving house pluto cj AC? Is divorce uranus cj DC? Jupiter cj AC marriage? Is changing jobs saturn cj MC? Can this thread be a compendium of any info that relates to transits and SA's, progressions etc and WHICH planets and WHAT aspects make these events happen. Thanks IP: Logged |

I think that for looking at any timers of events, house rulership is the most telling. starting with the angles.IP: Logged |

ok electric, can you be a sweetheart and give me an example please? do you mean that 7th ruler cj or square AC would bring a divorce or marriage? IP: Logged |

Both are important imo And esp when combined, I would say. I'm not savvy enough to give examples tho lolFor me Jupiter was big for marriage in my SA and transits and no it was not on the asc but opposing my sun, for the SA it was I think to my Moon as well. And one other thing I forget, I'll look later. Neptune also figured and conj my natal NN in my SA for marriage but i firmly believe this is because I 1) Have Neptune in my 7th natally 2) It described a weird dissolve and deception when we married. My wedding dress was sea-green with blue sequins, for crapssake lol IP: Logged |

and also, what would be the orbs for all of these 'transits'? Are progressions dead exact as SA's have to be? IP: Logged |

I think once the aspect separates in SAs then it weakens. When it's applying, it's def at its strongest. At least this is what I have seen. But I am sure there are exceptions! IP: Logged |

lol MVM, hmmm Yeah l can relate to your words about dissolve and deceive I have neptune in my 4th and pisces is in 28' of my 7th house. My marriage was all about deception. On my wedding day l had SA NN cj n MC SR MC cj n IC SA venus cj my n mars pr jupiter cj my n AC Pr AC cj my n pluto I have no idea which of these, if any, point to a marriage though. I really want to learn about this as it keeps evading me. For instance, l have moved house/city twice in the last year and sold a house. This MUST show up somewhere!! Thanks so much MVM. You are such a sweetheart IP: Logged |

I haven't had much luck with SA... but I have a couple big ones coming up within the next year so I'll see. Progressed has been off and on- I have only notice the hard ones (conj, opposition and square) but Transits (specially to my angles and important planets) have been pretty dead on. For me it seems like action happens when a transit planet hits an important point the 1st or/and 3rd time of crossing it. IP: Logged |

This is what I have heard about orbs... but sometimes I don't completely follow them if there are multiple things going on. Solar Arcs... 30 mins before and after (or 6 months before and after it was exact- with the first 6 months being the strongest) Progressions... 1 to 2 degrees Transits... Pluto and Neptune +/- 2 degrees Uranus and Saturn +/- 3 or 4 degrees Jupiter 4 or 5 degrees But like I said if you have something happening on all 3 layers you might need to loosen or even tighten the orb. it's transits, progressions, and solar arcs. Basically in that order. But transits are the most important. The other two show action happening, but usually won't do anything tangible w/o a natal transit or two also. Natal + transits takes precedence over all imo. IP: Logged |

I was just thinking of starting a SA to natal planets thread, because Belgz got me thinking about my own... I'll have to check them later, because my wireless keeps going out.IP: Logged |

Teasel~That might be a good idea. I was playing with my SA's last night and looking at the horrible SAT=PLU. I looked up my mom, grandma, aunt and 2 uncles (b/c my grandfather died of cancer) and SA didn't show up at all when he died. When my mom's and dad's SAT=PLU happened nothing happened with my mom and dad got a new job (he was working the same one for 15 yrs before then...) IP: Logged |

Thank you Diana! SA's confuse me because they are so slow and in a separation/divorce its often the same aspect for both which is confusing! Also, where there a few dates relating to the same event, which one do you chose? eg. marriage? Is the marriage, separation, divorce or financials in Court most important lol !! IP: Logged |

My English grandmother died two days before my twelfth birthday; I can check that later on.And how could I forget??? I lost my American grandmother at the beginning of August, this year. Saturn was trine my Moon/Venus at the time, I think, I'm not sure. I know that Venus was trine that conjunction at the time. Not sure about Solar Arcs. IP: Logged |

Teasel, sorry for your losses. I find it interesting that venus was involved as when my Grandpa died my SA venus was cj my sun/moon MP. I'm trying to remember my Grandma's death to look at transits. Thanks for looking at yours IP: Logged |

I think for something to happen there must be at least 3 indicators of this particular event in a solar return chart + solar arcs (or progressions) + transits.IP: Logged |

I think SA and progressions show the THEMES in a certain time period, but the transits will trigger the EVENTS, based on these themes. They are going to "wake up" the progressed and Solar arcs and natal planets, too. I was having a Mercury-Venus-Antivertex-conjunction on my natal Moon for several years (at least 2 I think). But it was only when Tr Neptune AND tr Moon was transiting that conjunction, that the event took place. (at the same time Tr Karma was conjunct my natal SN).

Thanks Racole for those orbs some are quite wide aren't they? DD, ok so look for both. Ok so transits are a catalyst for SA and progression aspects. Cool.

Belgz, Question please.IF the SA NN is 14'14 taurus and the MC is 16'37 taurus is that TOO FAR apart please? If so, is it enough of a clue to readjust the AC to reflect the MC on 14'14 taurus? Thanks IP: Logged |

Lara... when Pisces and I got together my SR chart showed Sun in the 8th house (natal 1st house) trine Uranus and Saturn Jupiter was in the 7th house(natal 10th house) and Venus int he 9th house (natal 2nd house)My transits showed.. Venus in the 7th house and Sun/Mercury in the 8th house.... so actually both sr chart for that year and transits for the official beginning of our relationship showed the sun in my 8th house when we got together. In transits The Moon was also conjunct my venus and opposite his Mars but also conjunct our composite ascendant. Uranus (my 5th house ruler) in my 5th house Jupiter in the 10th house, but also conjunct his nnode exactly. His Jupiter is featured strongly in all major transitions and events... He is a natal Pisces sun and Moon in Sagittarius... When our first son was born he was experiencing a Jupiter return... For me the Moon conjunct Saturn were transiting my MC and 10th house, and squaring my Sun exactly. and Jupiter was exactly trine my Moon. My Sr chart for that year showed SR asc conjunct SR Jupiter exact in my natal first house Neptune and Uranus (natal 5th house ruler) in SR 4th house and natal 5th house...so a combo of 4th and 5th house connections. SR saturn also conjunct my SR MC which conjuncts exactly his natal nnode. For the birth of my second son SR chart showed SR Venus conjunct Saturn in the 5th house Transits showed Saturn conjunct my nnode exact so there again was a correlation between the SR chart and transits. Also Moon conjunct natal Sun in Libra Sun conjunct his dad's Mars which opposes my venus (chart ruler) and our composite ascendant.Uranus also conjunct it all too and all in my 5th house. Phew thats all I can offer for now! IP: Logged |

Peri I agree for something to happen it should connect all 3, transits, progressions and solar arcs or SR chart. For my experiences and events in my relationship there are transits, progressions and solar arc aspects to my natal venus which opposes his natal Mars and which even more importantly is conjunct our composite ascendant. Which means aspects, progressions, etc to this degree show events in our relationship. DD I agree that transits will trigger the events that have been written or planned by the solar arcs and natal planets. IP: Logged |

Lara you said "SA's confuse me because they are so slow and in a separation/divorce its often the same aspect for both which is confusing!"I think that's when the transits will make the difference, depending on what planets and aspects they make. IP: Logged |
