God built 80% alkaline and 20% acidic bodies with self-healing capabilities Ami and although l agree with you whole-heartedly, sadly in 2010 almost the entire population has a 20% alkaline and 80% acidic body making the bodies natural healing ability pretty much useless.

Sadly they don't... it's not enough anymore Ami. There are now too many pollutants and toxins in the air/water/food for the body to have enough time each day to balance the ph and detox us. So our immunity suffers. It's not the toxins that kill us; its the fact that our bodies cannot possibly deal with all the tasks modern day living gives it. ALL water whether bottled or tap is acidic and this alone inhibits our bodies from keeping an acceptable ph level. IP: Logged |

Lara,I disagree. I've seen too many premature crack babies, including one of my own adopted nieces, come back from the brink of death and live in some of the worst circumstances with horrible nutrition grow to be almost freakishly strong and whip smart intelligent teenagers and young adults. I've heard it all and yet people are living and growing healthy each day. I mean, I'm partly playing devils advocate right now but when you've heard it all, including the phrase "cooked food is poison" as a mantra while eating a completely raw foods diet (all fruit - which I've done for several years) everyone has ruined their own personal water supply in their body to kill themselves, but not everyone gets cancer and people live into their early hundreds while smoking cigars daily since the age of 10 and whiskey since age 5 and bacon fat biscuits as a main diet since infancy. There's no such thing as "NO" and the Zapper is not the first and only cure for cancer. The cure for cancer has always existed in many, many different forms. I'd like to tell the holistic community thank you for all of their life saving information but we are not zombies yet. IP: Logged |

AbsintheDragonfly,I think everyone here has given you really good advice. From what I see, maybe that Saturn crossing his ascendant in the 1st house will be YOU really riding him to take care of his health, and him having to buckle down and really take care of himself. Another important transit will be Saturn conjunct Uranus, which again might relate to keeping him in line with the "addiction" issues. Right now, Pluto is square his Mercury in 12th in Virgo - He's terrified of the Cancer coming back. You guys need to relax. The transit that might indicate (to me) that he will have to worry about "bone" cancer, is when Pluto transits 4th house in Capricorn, and starts to oppose the Midheaven, conjunct the IC and square his ascendant. That's late 2012 and into 2013... Right now, you should try to relax, enjoy your lives, love, take care of your health, and breathe. Don't spend your time worrying (better said than done)... but, try to reduce stress on both of you... that's great for the health! Good Luck to both of you

I love you, you know that and l value your brain and mind a lot.
I totally understand what you are saying and l agree to a point. The bit where l disagree is this: the body is a well-oiled/tuned machine. It is perfect until one puts something into it that is imperfect. It adapts but in adapting once, it is forever looking and solving anything foreign and alien to it. Immunity and core is made up and determined by DNA/genes, patterns, emotional/mental memory, pollution, vaccinations, pesticides, parasites and lack of nutrients etc etc.You can be a vegetarian, alkaline-eating, health-conscious freak and still die of cancer due to poor mindset. You can be the happiest person alive, eat crap and smoke with no exercise and live to be 100. My point is simply as little stress as possible enables your body to function without over-loading your immunity. This is turn keeps the mind clear, the stomach full of amino acids and assimilation in the intestines efficient. You need an alkaline ph to do this and a parasite-free environment.
Nothing else.
Yes there are many cures of cancer and yes, most of them aren't consistent and don't work! A cure is when the person is still alive 25+ yrs after the cure. Linus Pauling advocates vitamin C and l agree but most of the time our stomach is just not at the correct ph to utilise it and it simply ends up in the loo.
Surely, prevention is better than cure. There is no need to get cancer in the first place to cure it. Cancer is simply an immune breakdown on a grand scale. It bites you and says "you haven't been looking after your body very well and now look whats happened".
Cancer is not even to be hated. If you wanna hate something, go hate sodium lauryl sulphate or sorbitol.
Better still, throw away all your cosmetics, shampoos, toothpaste and soaps. They all give you cancer.
Look at all these carcinogens. They are in fizzy drinks, household products, cleaning products, fillings, personal hygiene items, food etc etc. Dump them all and start loving cancer because it's a daily friend to you.

That's great news. I hate cancer, too. We found out in the Spring, that my cousin has cancer. I thought they were going to do try both chemo and herbal supplements, but they apparently only went the allopathic route... we found out last week, that her cancer is growing.  They have a consultation set up with the well-known herbalist, but her treatment is going to cost something like $1000 per month, so they're working out how to do that - pooling money (we might be adding to that, as well). Can you just give a few simple rules to keep the body alkaline?
Does lemon juice first thing help?
Would taking a pinch of bicarb of soda be efficacious (love that word!)
Apple cider vinegar?
I know protein is acid forming but I can't help it. I am carnivorous to a frightening degree.So we are going to have to factor that in.
