Lara, another one i think is Taurean is "i'm not here to impress anyone." at least that's usually the case for me in many circumstances. Take me or leave me, just the way I am.

Teasel, I've cut a few people out of my life and once it's final with me, it's forever.

It has to be pretty major for me never have any contact with them again. I've cut both my mother and brother out.

Yes, I do.
It's in general a fixed sign quality,
it sort of goes along with being stubborn passionate and single minded :P

Who, me?

Yeah, I guess I should make a resolution, next year, to not post what I wouldn't want to leave up here.

After a great week, I've had a really weird day and night, so I'm feeling odd.

In my experience the younger Taurean is intense because they are so fixed and tuned into something whether that be a person, a talent, a hobby, or their way of being...(ie they are just so attentive), that other people find this intense... but I think they are the secure ones who are just ahead of everyone else in matters of self-worth.As they get older people catch up with them and they seem less intense.

However I've noticed the intense devotion Taurus males have for their ladies is not always everyone's cup of tea and some people might run for air.

I have been avoiding this topic because I am anti taurus men lately and at 27 I have retired from them even though my progressed ascendant just went into Scorpio and they are no permananly on my progressed 7th cusp for 30 years :|

Now I'm not sure if this intensity is real or not. Yes intense in your mind but the question is does the other person feel your intensity?

I'm a cancerian and I think I have intense emotions even though they are short lived and change with the moon cycles

Ok no I'm going to try to be serious. Male taureans in my experience are not go getters, they lack initiative and they are too caught up emotionally in their own mind about this profound experience they are feeling that they just can not take action to do something about it. I have dated 3 taureans. 1 was 10 years on and off the second one I married and the third lasted 8 weeks just recently. They lack in passion. (not referring to the bedroom) they don't have the drive because they are slow and cautious but yet they believe they are getting somewhere. They are not versatile and are very stubborn. Very fixed indeed to the point that you can't notice what's happening around you. Now I believe I'm taking this opportunity to bag them out because it's making me feel good. So I will stop now

Actually no I didn't really mean all of that. Taurus is just not right for me. Doesn't mean someone else won't appreciate their slow, cautious behaviour and whatever else. Maybe a Capricorn or a Virgo.

My grandmother is a Taurus and I love her. She is perfect. The women are really good. Perfect house wives, very attentive, loyal, and loving.

wow Belgz LOL

Are you accusing me of being a perfect housewife? hahaha

I read your post, think of my man and am not sure what went wrong, your post or my man cos he's none of those things you've said about taurus. I've never met anyone as passionate as him!

I agree with Quinnie though - pass me the oxygen tank!!!!!

I wouldn't say all taurus women make good housewives, my aunt is a taurus and you wouldn't want her anywhere near your children in the "mothering" sense, Her mars is in aries in her first house eek

but I have way too much experience with taurus people

I'm a taurus, so is my brother, my aunt, the uncle and my cousin, and 2 of my good friends..and my other two good friends have taurus moons and my closest friends have taurus risings

First off, taurus people can be intense but its always for a purpose. And i think thats something no one has kinda mentioned yet. We will turn on the stubborn rock solid driving force ONLY when need by. Typically, as a trait of genera, character we let things roll right off our shoulders if we don't think its worth fighting about or putting effort towards (we are known for have a tendency toward laziness ).........but we are also hard workers. So with intensity, i'd say when we want something or have something we want to hold onto or to build/construct....if we have something in the "works" and we want it.

you better watch out!, cause it'll be like the running of the bulls. literally. I'm a pretty placid person, but still very warm. I'd consider scorpios to be more on the intense side, while taurus people are the ones that'll kick up their feet and just want to chill. We have a simple character, and simple disposition. Whoever that was that said basically "what you see is what you get"...pretty true about us.

But i could talk about tauruses forever...

and as far as relationships go, we like the idea of going steady...obviously it depends on your chart as a whole, but taurus in relation to love is all about doing it old school....i'm a taurus woman, court me, open my door, take me out to dinner, anything wholesome and genuine is lovvvved by tauruses

we feel disturbed by all things fickle and erratic. my ex was a gemini sagg aries...he was all over the place.

butttt, he had mercury and venus in taurus...it made directed his "wild" tendencies some what, and made him the steady one the relationship......i have venus in gemini hehe

Taurus intense?

Maybe.

My daughter is a Taurus, and she's very peaceful and loving.

However - she's PERSISTENT. And, I guess you could see her as intense because once she sees something she wants, wants to do, needs to figure out, etc... there's no stopping her.

She will QUIETLY persist until she gets what she wants. And, usually, she's successful at it.

I think 'persistent' is a good word to describe Tauruses, or at least the ones I've met.

I've only been "involved" with two so far. The first one was a complete psycho. He was controlling, obsessive, clingy, weird and a whole bunch of other things I won't post here. I don't think this was because he was a Taurus though--I honestly think he had a mental problem.

The other is the complete opposite. Cool, calm, collected, sincere, loyal, kind, hard-working, fun-loving, down to earth, reliable...the list goes on! I'd say, pretty much all the qualities you'd want in the people you surround yourself with.

agree T

Not only do l not wanna impress anyone, i'm useless at receiving compliments. I feel really embarrassed by them. Do you find that?

Peri - LOL Persistent! Yup. I always thought Shirley Temple was a taurus. That charming persistent nature with her mind manipulating every adult in the room

This is my Jupiter sign so they just bring out the happy hedonist in me.

In all seriousness, they are intensely all-or-nothing sort of people. Makes me feel oddly secure. It must be something they share in common with the opposite sign on their axis...or just a fixed quality. With the mars sign in particular, they are DEFINITELY persistent. I love working on projects with them because they give me the incentive to follow them through instead of starting things and not following them through in my true Cardinal/mutable fashion.

I'm back here, because I've realized how much I have a thing for Taurus Moons. It's one of those placements that pops up over and over - at least with guys. My Dad is a Taurus Sun/Moon, always on the move, hardly ever relaxing, and has told me that he has a great life, because he has us.

He has both stable, and unstable ways (not necessarily in a bad way), and he has a temper that's rarely fully seen - mostly, we're serenaded with colourful language, when he's working on something and having problems, dealing with screw-ups, etc... he's fine once it's dealt with. He loves to travel, and never wanted the responsibility of a mortgage.. he will change plans on a whim, and leave people hanging, if he doesn't feel like doing something, and my Mother doesn't put her foot down. But he likes to be close to his wife - he's hated it when they've had to be apart for even one night. H told me that mum's expressed surprise that he still chases her around, but he said that he'd never said anything about - or given thought to anything changing between them, because of aging, weight changes, etc. He still loves her, and is still attracted to her. He's told me, "It's always been your mother" and Mum has told me, "I know that your Father is the only man for me."

I'm wondering how things would have worked out with me and the taurus I mentioned, friendship-wise (also a Taurus Sun/Moon), if I hadn't got so angry at him that I wanted to push him away - to make him stay away... but I hated him (I'm not much of a hater), and I know that I couldn't talk to him now, if he kept up the way he was treating me.. and I loathe the idea that my strong emotions, and depression, might have been affecting Bertie. (one question that's been falling around my brain: what if I helped to make him sick. I know they pick up things from us.)

Didn't mean to go off-topic. I just those Taurus Moons.

Intense is not a word I'd use to describe Taurus, FOCUSED is as well as STUBBORN.

I save intense for the water signs.
