I haven't been able to find an answer to my question on the web so I thought I'd ask here.
Are all conjunctions also parallels & all oppositions contra parallels?IP: Logged |

nope. planets can be conjunct or opposite without being parallel or contra. also the orbs for the latter are very small so its even more so true that one does not indicate the other. IP: Logged |

So if you have a conjunction or opposition that is also parallel or contra parallel it makes the aspect even more powerful?IP: Logged |

Yes it totally does IF the orb on the conjunction is less than 3' degrees and the orb on the parallel/contra is less than 1.2'IP: Logged |

Natally, yes. It will sort of echo what is already there. Also in my experience parallels and contra parallels are more of a feeling we have inside, they don't manifest directly the way planets in aspect or houses do. In a sense, there's almost no real world evidence of their influence unless you have an aspect between those planets otherwise. But you don't feel the tension or grit of an actual aspect. I've been told in synastry they are much less obviously at work, again they'll echo what's already there if anything, but wont have a direct effect. IP: Logged |

Ginger. Check Parallel and Contra parallels on Astro.com. You must take a look at "View additional tables". Check DECLINATION .Exampel My N moon 6,49 in gemini DECLINATION 19,18 N
My N pluto 12,49 in virgo DECLINATION 19,19 N My moon square pluto 6 degree orb in almost exact parallel My Wertex 23,24 S DECL
My N.N 23,26 N DECl = contra parallel S and N on same DECL= Contraparalles
S and S on same DECl= parallel
N and N on same DECL = parallel My N.N in the beginning of cancer and my Werex in 26 degree SAG. My exact Sun conj AC in Leo also be in exactly Parallel. The strenghten here increase. I think parallels and contralparallels works but are weak if there is no strong connection also from Longitude.

Does it matter if it's declination or latitude. I mean can two planets still be called parallel if they are at the same latitude. Or is it only declination that's used?IP: Logged |
