But the progressions last a long time and can be hard to pinpoint. Progressed Venus or Sun will be that way for years. It's not the same with SA.

Transits/ smaller window of time. SAs even smaller window. I look at transits and SAs personally.

oh this is great. i never even had the courage to get into Solar arc it just made me go, "what?"

now i got a little idea, i checked mine. my current exact cj. is SA NN cj. Natal Uranus, and SA Uranus cj. Natal Venus...

SA Uranus had been on my Natal Neptune, which is my IC ruler, so it really makes sense all the hell and chaos at home!

i don't know how to interpret SA NN though. mmm, and with Venus, i guess some change is in store in the area of romantic relationship.

I looked at my Solar Arcs at clairvision.org. They have a program on their website that you put your birth info into, and it will list them. (Sorry if you've already found that out... I'm just here quickly.)

Actually the progressions of Sun take exactly the same amount of time as SA does.
PR Venus is relatively slowly, too, unless it was retograde, it depends on which orb you use. If you are using wide orbs with progressions, they will of course take a lot of time.
Pr Moon is definitely quicker than SA Moon,

but the outer planets are REAL slow in progressions, we can almost forget about them. in SA they are of course much quicker, as every planet is being moved forwards with the same speed as the Sun.

I have always been more convinced of SA, but after reading Westran`s book on progressed synastry and doing some research on these myself, I was surprised to see that this theory really works amazingly well.

I actually wanted to check if there were equal SA aspects at these times, too, but seriously, I was too lazy to compare 1500 synastries.

In a general astrology book that I once received as a present (authors: Julia and Derek Parker)

They say that very often a relationship begins when the need for or possibility of one, is indicated in an individual's chart. They give three examples:

*The Pr. Sun, Ascendant or ruling planet makes an aspect to the N. or Pr. position of Venus, or vice versa.

*The Pr. Venus makes an aspect to the N. Moon. (Vice Versa might not be powerful enough though, unless Moon is chart ruler or in Cancer)

*There is a transit of Uranus or Neptune to the N. Venus (although if it is a square or opposition the subject could have difficulties).

Where can one get a solar arc reading? Anyone knows any astrologers that do professional solar arc readings?

You would need to consult an intuitive astrologer. There is absolutely no mathematical basis for solar arcs or progressions. No science, no way to prove or disprove. That's why they are hard to understand. This does not mean they are not useful. They are useful for intuitive readings. That said, the best way way to use them is to tap into your own intuition because everything you need to understand about yourself is within you. The more you develop your own intuition, the more you will be able to use them in a beneficial way.

Bumping for when I'm more awake. I've just noticed the solar arc option in the menu at astro.com. I have a few aspects that interest me. Sun/Chiron just past my vertex, still conjunct. Moon/Venus conjunct Saturn. Mercury conjunct SN, having crossed my Moon/Venus over the last two years. Eclipse was conjunct solar arc Uranus/ascendant.
