I have a new project brewing with a jewelry maker, and we were thinking about Astrology and Perfume, she's going to make the associating gemstone pendants that hold the perfume, and I'm going to make the perfume.What scents would be good for which signs? If you want to have a look and see what I already have and/or tell me what types you like generally, and be willing to share your birthdate, I found this software that I plug dates into and it spits out the types of smells you might like. I would try to help, but I don't really use perfume (I love the area in the store, but don't often wear it).I sometimes use a Vanilla body spray. Cucumber and Aloe (I think it was) gave me a headache. I love Lavender, as well. I don't know that either of them match up to Aries - maybe my Pisces Mars, or 6th house Sun. My mother is a Sagittarius, and she's always love Opium. Blue Grass was another (from the 60's). IP: Logged |

AD,GREAT IDEA!!! I am a Leo, but I contribute my taste in scents to my Scorpio ASC (bday August 6th 1990, 13:36 in Gettysburg, PA). I don't wear spray perfume. I have Egyptian Red Musk that I rub on my wrists and neck everyday. I wear Sandalwood lotion, and Ylang Ylang Myrrh. I love wood & musk smells. Incense-like fragrances. IP: Logged |

I am a Leo with my Sun in the 8th house...and I like the same exact perfumes as Meta-4!I use Arabian perfume oils--myrhh, sandalwood-rose blend, ambergris. I also use aromatherapy oils and baths. I usually get organic essential oils and mix my own, but I like Micheline Arcier's bath oil with ylang ylang. I like smoky, sexy scents. I like good incense and citrusy candles. I smelled this yuzu one the other day that I just wanted to keep smelling for eight years, but I couldn't afford to spend $50 on a little candle. IP: Logged |

When I was younger, I liked my mother's musk perfume.I was thinking about checking my sister's incense - she has a whole bunch, different scents - but she's asleep right now. I love the smell of Pine, too. Cinnamon, lemon. IP: Logged |

I wear Body by Victoria and I have for many years (Sun in Aries/Moon in Pisces/Cancer Rising).What's in Body by Victoria: quote:

I only wear natural body oils cuz traditional perfumes are too heavy for me.Have you ever heard of Bindi?
My Goodness, those oils smell so delicious. My favorite has lemon and geranium .

From what I hear Sagittarius is supposed to like 'woodsy' scents (outdoors), is that true? Maybe even a 9th house thing?I love jasmine, gardenia, and white musk. I'm thinking the musk is a Scorpio Venus thing. Virgos are supposed to like lavender and I like it but never as a scent to wear :/

I can't find my favorite perfume anymore, although it's probably online, I can't shop that way, cause I don't have any credit or debit cards, and I don't use checks.Anyway, it was Musk Oil. It used to come in a little brown bottle and it lasted forever. I cannot remember who makes it, it was just a drug store thing. My Mom used to buy me expensive perfumes for Christmas, but I can't stand the smell, they are all too strong and give me such a headache. My favorite scent is probably Hawaiin Tropic Coconut Tanning Oil.

my mother's Aquarius, 2nd of February, and her signature perfume was always Rochas' Byzance (http://im4.ebidst.com/upload_big/8/8/9/1251070418-2906-126.jpg). me, Sagittarius, 19th of December, i don't like perfumes. but i did wear Ananya oil from Bodyshop for some years when i was younger (http://www.thebodyshop-usa.com/perfume-oil/prod3650019) the description says-
Fragrance personality: Passionate, intense, sensual. This long-lasting floral fragrance is feminine and flirty to help you avail your womanly wiles. Family: floral
Notes: Top notes: bergamot, peach, melon, coconut, violet

also wore oil from Song of India called Aphrodesa. it was very sweet smelling.

Since these would be botanical perfumes, I'm restricted to what Mama Gaia can provide in the plant/mineral/some animal way. Not much fruit in natural perfumery.I'm wondering if 5th house, Venus, Moon would have something to do with perfume as well. Taurus, Libra, Venus, 7th house? In addition to the sun...This is something that either can comfort you, make you feel beautiful, loved, etc. So we are looking for the Goddess... IP: Logged |

teasel,We have similar placements and practically the same taste in fragrance- funny. My:
Taurus = 7th house
Libra = 12th house
Venus = Cancer, 9th, conjunct Jupiter, opp Saturn/Neptune, trine Pluto, sextile Mars. Seems everyone likes Musk, but just different degrees of it. Only some like wood smells, only some like fruit, and only some like flowers. Have we noticed any particular trend though? IP: Logged |
