I saw the waterless people string and thought I would start this one. I have no Fire in my chart. How does that affect me?

Yeppers.

"Life is like a box of crayons. Most people are the 8-color boxes, but what you're really looking for are the 64-color boxes with the sharpeners on the back. I fancy myself to be a 64-color box, though I've got a few missing. It's okay though, because I've got some more vibrant colors like periwinkle at my disposal. I have a bit of a problem though in that I can only meet the 8-color boxes. Does anyone else have that problem? I mean there are so many different colors of life, of feeling, of articulation...so when I meet someone who's an 8-color type...I'm like, 'hey girl, magenta!' and she's like, 'oh, you mean purple!' and she goes off on her purple thing, and I'm like, 'no - I want magenta!'"

i think of fire as our motivation. its the flame that gets us off our booties to make things happen. its what spurs us to take risks. its also the vehicle of the ego.

lack of fire?
mis-directed self assertion
difficulty finding or identifying the motivation for being creative
low sex drive, or sexual deviance

so you have fire on any of your angles? dsc and IC included. what about fire houses?

I have Saturn in Leo and Neptune in Sagittarius. Do you mean no fire inner planets? If so, then I have no fire planets either.

Of course, Lucia
I was just pondering IF someone has a Water singleton or any singleton--does that make the element stronger ?
Hmmm
I have a friend with one water planet in Neptune. He lacks empathy, which is water.
That would be a Singleton, though.
It is confusing.

Anyway, astrological voids(i.e lack of fire/water etc )is a whole different subject.
I will check my book and get back

i c an hook you up a swap with someone who has 7 0f em! just kidding.

the fire houses make a huge difference. the person with 7 fire planets has only saturn in water but all those fire planets are in WATER houses. a lot more compassion than many less fiery people...

so if you have full fire houses it will give you the spark you need, but in a less brazen way than actual planets usually...

Got Gemini
Hi
I was wondering where you were cuz you have been gone a long time
If you have outer planets in an element, it still counts as having that element.

That is interesting about the houses. My friend has no earth but a lot in the 6th house so that would give an "earth like" sense, you are saying.

So,Kat, are saying that it gives a subtle earth energy like a higher vibration of earth energy, if that makes sense

Fire Voids are very interesting. Two famous people are Ronald Reagan and DH Lawrence.
With the fire void, the best possible predominant element to have is Air.
I think you have that ,Randall, right?

With the fire void, there can be lack of enthusiasm or drive BUT these individuals can compensate by calling forth and developing a self reliance which is strong and deep.
If fire voids have little Air and a predominance of earth and water, it is harder to compensate and insecurity may result.

Fire voids WITH air are quietly magnetic and compelling people.

Fire voids are the rarest of voids.
Earth voids are the most common

Water Voids are the second rarest of element voids.
They don't really talk about it in a way I can get it.
Hitler had a water void.
With a water void, the person can be very sentimental and cry easily.
They can APPEAR to be a water sign.

With voids, you are called upon to work around the void and develop compensating factors to your personality.

As such ,you can be a stellar and unique person.
If you do not 'go around" the void and compensate, you can fall prey to living at a "lower" level with none of the element or little.
In the case of water, it would be low in empathy.

Let me say , that the book was confusing about water voids so I may have gotten it wrong.
It makes sense that when you have a void, you MUST compensate.

I know this from my earth void. I compensate, all the time, for it.
I ,always, have but did not know what I was doing.

It is like an overcoming of something when you have a void, any void.

Hi Winged Leo
I will check for you

Well, Randall, you HAVE air and in personal planets, Aqua Mars and Venus.
That is strong Air, I think, stronger than if they were outer planets.

IF a Fire Void, was a predominant earth and water and LITTLE air, he would struggle with a sense of being "bogged down" without enough drive( fire) to pull oneself up.

Air Voids are the second most common voids. Air voids may make it hard for the person to communicate.
He may feel stymied or thwarted when trying to get ideas across.
Prince Andrew has this and is a fine communicator.
Strangely, manner writers have this.
The book says that Voids(like unaspected planets) can become stellar when worked on in a compensatory way.
When the person learns to compensate, they can be better able to DO the quality which they lack.
That is fascinating!!!!

I know someone with zero Fire, he's an interesting one to watch, so funny because there's no Snap-Crackle-Pop about him, he has Air so he can enthuse mentally, but he just drones on and on, and then he introduces the fire element in his life, for example he adores the Sun, lots of friends with Fire Sun signs, gets into alcohol a bit (liquid Fire), wants to prove that he has it in him so will go on romantic conquests, wants to show bravado but backs down from every fight for a sense of fear about it. He has successes but they're hard-won. Anyway the gist of it is that he actively seeks to incorporate the Fire element, in different ways.

It's so interesting to observe people with these types of voids. Most of the people with voids that I know have missing Air.

One lady is an expert communicator and can bs her way through almost any subject, and it's not her native language. She moved here not knowing the language and has fought hard to get it every step of the way. Her writing is still a bit off the mark, spelling, etc. but talking one on one, complete expert, you'd think she had Mercury conj Asc in Gemini, no kidding. And she goes to school on the side, and really struggles with it, with understanding the instructors and writing papers, but she still struggles through with it god bless her.

Another one with Air void, she hardly tries, and it shows. She's nowhere near the proficiency of the above lady, and this one's a native English speaker, so it just goes to show what a little drive and perseverance can do for you. Oh and this one has a lot of Fire. But it's not working out for her.

I guess with the voids you need amazing mentors and to just keep pushing along, and if you try and you want it, you'll be amazing, like Super-Air person haha, but if you don't you'll fall by the wayside and the deficit will keep getting in your way.

This is hilarious, I'm double checking charts of people I know, and I came across 2 Earth void people:

My grandparents, married for 50+ years, owned their own home, started a real estate business together, my grandmother an expert gardener. My grandpa would tally up all expenses perfectly in a ledger, I mean every single day, super practical man

Now really, that is surprising.
2 Earth voids, marrying each other.

Isn't the conventional wisdom that they seek out those that balance them,

Ooh, and then she gave birth to a son that's poster child for Earth void, nothing in the Earth signs or in 2nd, 6th, 10th houses. He has a degree in business administration and works securing monies for start up companies, always has been involved in business, yet at home, he cannot send a check or pay a bill on time to save his life. He's quite a good gardener as well. But his personal practical affairs are not exemplary.
.
.
.
.
Randall, what about you, do you go for the Fiery ladies? (in their Sun, Moon, or Asc)??
