She has a fairly long neck - would that rule out Taurus rising maybe?

And as far as Capricorn rising, I don't think so. I know two of those, and I think my mother is just too silly to be one. You certainly can't tell from the photo, but she is very naive in many respects and rather scatter brained, and I just don't think Cappie rising fits.

People would stop her in the street when she was younger and comment about her beauty. One man said she looked like Sophia Loren! She has changed tremendously over the years, though. She was very unhappy for a long time and I think it took a toll.

Yes, if she is not asc taurus I will vote for scorp. Do you know if she has planets in taurus? she somehow reminds me my mother who is scorp with gem asc...I said taurus because of her eyes, but it could be that her moon is connected with venus? or another planet in taurus?
