People who are into astrology, and 'spiritual' things have bypassed many other lessons in order to understand the mystical ways of the universe. I think the point that he was making is that a lot of young middle class girls and older housewives move from one religion to the next to spirituality to something else and so on because they are lost and searching for anything. This is true. A lot of people go through religion and spirituality like it is a fad but of course this isn't true of everyone.

Your last incarnation? Who says this is your last incarnation? There are people who have actually gone beyond astrology. They were master astrologers in a previous life and now they are, how do I say this, "doing" or they are living without the need to figure things out. The most advanced people I think are the ones who are completely invested in their creation. They live life as opposed to having need to analyze life.

then wouldnt "spirituality" be the last thing these "confused women" land on? and its very demeaning to say that its only teenage girls and middle age house wives are the only ones into all of this "new age" stuff..and thanks for clarifying on the guy glaucus was referring to ------------------

It isn't only teenage girls and middle aged housewives, you are right but they are the majority. And no problem. I think that everyone on this forum, me included, are a step away from our full potential. Spirituality definitely has nothing to do with religion...religion is man made.I agree with Banx in regards to 'old souls' having no clue in regards to astrology and spiritual matters. I am 50 now, and had no clue about the true meanings of astrology and other spiritual matters. This past year has felt as if I am living a movie...experiences that I would have scoffed at a few years back, and I have no doubt I am an old soul.
My kids dad passed away a few months ago, he drank himself to death...in doing his chart, he was an old soul I am sure. He denied his gifts for whatever reason. My mom, to look at her chart, appears to be an extremely gifted woman...both of them btw with an 11 as their lifepath number. My mom always knew when something was going to happen when I was younger. Now her response is, 'I am too old for all of that', she scoffs at my beliefs. Alot of people don't start to 'wake up' until later in life. Some are just not destined to 'wake up' in this lifetime, so they can do it all again. I am hoping that I can get off of this place this time around...Why I agreed to come here, I don't know yet, but I am desperately trying to find out...for myself and my loved ones. Just remember idiots can be old souls...it's called free will. You never know, he may come around, alot are nowadays...  ------------------

It's nice to consider both sides of astrology, but this guy sounds like an irrational cynic with a huge log up his arse.It would be different and more insightful, if I could take him seriously, but he's just ranting and throwing a temper tantruam like a 3 year old. There are other's out there that are anti-atrology that made their point across, without all the negativity and cynic BS. Do I believe in astrology? I have more studying to do before I can give a definite answer, but I definately will not take this guy's word on it. IP: Logged |

Free will?Old souls, even when exercising free will, are aware of what they are doing. And it will always be in line with their soul purpose. i agree with you here banx, but i dont think its beyond astrology...i think its an extension or advanced part of spirituality, its closer to ascension and enlightenment than someone who is just spiritual..they are aware of their gifts and use them ------------------

raspberri...I FEEL as if I am an old soul, but being new to astrology, I can't look at my chart to tell you...someone on this site told me I was a powerful soul by looking at my chart, she just never finished explaining anything in detail, so I could understand...would you care to take a look? Tell me what you see? Good way to show an example of someone who is an old soul, or....just tired of the bs on this 'planet'...Are you on? I am quite sure I could show you a couple of very interesting charts... ------------------
