To add more, my boyfriend has a strong kundalini signature in his natal chart, and has active kundalini worse than my own. He used to have no control over his life until he concentrated purely on unconditional love and acceptance etc. His kundalini is worse than my own and I've felt it/seen the kriyas. He has bipolar disorder.

The inability to focus/concentrate thing sounds like you're in the down-side of the long term potentiation/depression cycle. If you find what it is that is causing you to come down I'm sure that you can progress past it and reignite the creativity that comes with kundalini.
