Thanks for your concern, StarofVenusGirl. I did fess up to the fiance, and he is not worried cause it was lost at my Gram's...he thinks it is bound to show up.
A good friend of mine made a good point, which is that it might show up during the next Merc Rx, since it was lost during one, if it doesn't show up in the next week, with Merc going Direct today.I've used yoga to get my nerves almer these last few daysm otherwise I would have licked my lips cracked and bloody. They already had a red chapped border around them from the stress licking. I will definitely keep you all posted here, and I am deeply grateful for all the caring suggestions. I have a hunch that some of the gut observations about location from the Knowflakes have been right, I'm just not seeing clear enough yet to know which ones.

Did you try to look in the pantry and kitchen cabinets? Also, I'm thinking you should check on the floor around the stove or around a fireplace, if you have one.IP: Logged |

That what I was thinking too, which I why I told you to sweep the kitchen thoroughly. I think it is in a crack or crevice somewhere, underneath a counter or between 2 objects. IP: Logged |

Still holding out hope on this one...my Gram just passed away about 6 weeks ago, so we may find it in going through her house...everything is getting cleared out, but appliances haven't been moved yet, so ?I really miss the ruby ring  (and my Gram, but that is something I can't change) IP: Logged |

It has happenned to my wife and I several times. I've replaced diamond rings with larger and better diamond rings. Diamond earrings with better diamond earings. My wife and I lost our wedding rings as well (separately). We laughed it off and bought new ones. We've been married almost 20 years now. Jewelry is only jewelry. Its the love behind the jewelry that matters, and even if you don't get to find this ruby ring, I'm sure you love will endure. Decades later, you will look back and see that none of the jewelry matters. Your ring will show up. I have belief in it showing up and I will pray for you. IP: Logged |
