Yes the signs do season the flavor differently. Cajun chicken vs. Fried chicken. However Venus sq. Mar's basic instincts will stay the same & wont start tasting like a pork-chop. It will stay the aloof, yes/no/maybe-so. Astrology is no excuse to hide behind bad behavior. Freewill/maturity could alter the outcomes of even the worst aspects. It comes down to, will he be selfish & indulge himself or be conscientious enough towards your feelings.

Well natally my Venus-Pluto-Jupiter (all conjunct) escaped becoming a Mars square Pluto by 1 degree *wheeew*
Although I do think I have some Mars-Pluto feel to me, cuz my Pluto does sit in the 1H. Infact, having 5 planets & ASC in 1H makes me very Arian/Mars.

Just wanted to give my two cents on the issue at hand, seeing as I have very similar natal placements to those of the object of your desire. I'm a Taurus Sun, Pisces Moon and Mars, and Venus in Aries. Aries is the only fire sign in my entire chart. Granted, I am female, but what Agent 009 said, about how we behave, is pretty spot on.

You'd think that having the Earth would make us opposed to "playing games." Well, we don't see it necessarily as playing games to begin with. We're romantics. It's almost like writing your own love story- you know the kind... the will they-won't they-and they finally do in the end- kind of love story. Call it immature. Call it what you will. It's not on purpose, and it's not meant to lead anyone on. We need to be adored. Not liked, not just admired, we need to feel that we are the other person's EVERYTHING. Nothing less. And so yes, we need to be chased, almost to show us how far you're willing to go for us, and how much we mean to you. The Taurus Sun, however, instills a very strong sense of caution in us, especially in matters of the heart. It definitely is an extremely confusing position, as in my case, for instance, my Taurus Sun wants stability and predictability, my Pisces Moon wants peace and soft nurturing, but my Venus in Aries wants none of that! The Aries Venus lends a thirst for thrills and excitement, adventure, and impulsiveness, but the Taurus Sun puts on the breaks. Unless we are absolutely certain that your intentions are pure, and unless we are 100% sure that you are what we want, we won't budge. We do have a strange need for conflict though, and this I'll never quite understand even about myself, but it's definitely there. If things come too easily, we'll take them for granted and get bored. So, make him work for it a little bit! Don't pull away completely. How you described his behavior when you stopped initiating contact as much and tried to remain as "just friends" is his way of saying, in the most subtle way he knows how, "why have you stopped chasing me??" The Taurus Sun caution also makes it take FOREVER to make up our minds, no matter how into someone we are, so don't take it personally. Once we decide, however, we jump in head first, completely abandoning any inhibitions that we may have had at the beginning. This may sound strange, but we also want to "fall in love" with the person, before we even establish any sort of formal relationship. It's part of the romantic ideal. Usually, if things don't live up to the romantic ideal from the beginning, we won't have much stimulation to continue, or if we do, it just won't be that fulfilling. Complicated, confusing, ridiculous? We know.
(I'm sure my boyfriend could vouch for that ) Once you get us though, we're extremely loyal, honest, steadfast partners... willing to be there through anything... And we'll definitely be up for taking risks! (I flew across the country to move in with my now boyfriend, before ever having dated him, as soon as I realized that I was in love with him!) Venus in Aries is like that.

So, pursue him... but pull back a little every once in a while, just to give him the chance to realize that he is into you as well, and not just appreciating the attention... Once he reciprocates, initiate contact once again... This may take a while but be patient... when he's ready, you'll know! Just keep things interesting!

Just to add: Not sure if this is how he is 100%, there may be some modifications in his chart that create a slightly different effect... I also have Venus-Pluto in hard aspect and Mars Pluto in trine... don't know if that would make a difference as far as behavior goes. He does have a Cappy Moon, so perhaps he's a tad more grounded than the above description... anyway, just trying to help

My dad is an Aries Sun, and my mom is on the cusp of Aries/Taurus.

My father has a ferocious temper and they're both very flirty. (You don't want to **** my mom off, either, although she is much more patient initially.) My mother flirts constantly and she doesn't have any awareness that she is doing this. They're both in their sixties, and I think that unaware sort of behavior is a little odd.

Cancer Mars = they're both big, whiney babies.
