What kind of good synastry do we have? That would give me greater confidence that what you're saying is true. And that he won't forget me (hopefully)
Looking at the natal charts I see you have Venus conjunct Venus, & Venus conjunct Mars. Because these are natal aspects they denote potential, as in what would happen if & when those planets meet up. His nVenus at 6 Leo, and your nMars @ 12 Leo met through progression at 26 Leo sometime within the past year. The conventional delineation of Venus conjunct Mars applies. Currently his pVenus at 27 Leo, and your pMars at 26 Leo implies the promise of that aspect has been fulfilled.
Next, although isn't/wasn't a conjunction, your nSun @ 14 Cancer was in position to catchup and conjunct his nVenus @ 6 Leo through progression and stir a romantic interlude. This aspect is on now with your pSun @ 5 Leo & his nVenus @ 6 Leo. The influence should peter out within the year.
As stated in an earlier post, on paper you guys should be a couple. Why you aren't has me baffled.
Your last hope and most exciting aspect for the future is another Sun-Venus conjunction. Your nVenus @ 9 Leo is behind his nSun @ 9 Virgo allowing it to play catchup through the years by progression. Currently your pVenus @ 5 Virgo is within 4 degrees (4 years) of his nSun. In the beginning I used a three degree applying orb, max. But I've seen larger orbs in play when couples come together, so I dunno. However, perhaps this may be a case where my original 3 degree orb will do the trick.
Something else to consider is the numerology. It is said that our birth number, the 6th is your case, represents our consciousness. It's the way we see ourselves. 6 is ruled by Venus. The gracious one doesn't chase, and will scold you for getting out of character.
If it is true he felt awkward and uncomfortable with the other planetary inter aspects, perhaps this impending Sun-Venus conjunction will be easier for him to handle. I say this because he was born on the 1st, ruled by the Sun, and you on the 6th, ruled by Venus. With your pVenus on his nSun, you're the Venus, and he's the Sun. This alignment will be in harmony with your personalities.
What might have held him back in the past, perhaps was the fact that in all the previous Sun-Venus & Venus-Mars aspects he, a masculine solar type, was thrown into the feminine Venus position. While you, a feminine Venusian type, were playing the Sun & Mars role.
This impending conjunction/role reversal/natural restructuring may very well do the trick.
Your pVenus moves to 6 degrees Virgo, and within 3 degrees of his nSun @ 9 Virgo, in October of this year. See what develops.
