I know it's just a generalization

But if you know this moon, how would you describe it ?

is it better with a water sun ?

You're probably right

Water sun may help though.

I wouldn't say "not emotional". I'd say emotionally detached. All of the Aquarius Moons I've known have been very emotional, just more in an intellectualized way.

A man I knew was an Aquarius Moon with 5 planets in Sagittarius, and the Sun conjunct Uranus. He was incredibly emotional. He had Mars conj. Pluto in Scorpio.

At the same time, I know a Scorpio woman with the Moon in Aquarius. Many planets in water signs. To most people she seems incredibly detached and distant. Often she's described as an "ice queen". She has the Sun conj. Saturn with an Aquarius rising.

I personally would give more clout to aspects.

I say they intellectulize their emotions.

My best friend is an Aries with Aquarius Moon.

She needs to always rationalize her emotions:

"Okay why I am feel like crap?"

A: I didn't get that job I wanted
A: My boyfriend was being a douche bag.
A: It's been a bad day.

She will think out why she's feeling what she's feeling, it's quite perplexing.

I second what Maka was saying about her friend - I also have an Aquarius moon and I'm the same way. Strangely, it's probably my favorite part about my natal chart. I think if you find a way to turn the eccentricities of that moon in a way that can benefit your personality by taking all the erratic energy of Aquarius and by molding it into a way that can benefit both the rational mind and the emotional epicenter that the moon represents.. you're good to go and not going down the typical "repression" route.

I will say though, I was an extremely sensitive little kid. I'm a Taurus sun/Virgo rising though, but there is an extremely acute sensitivity given by the Aquarius moon. No detail really escapes us, and because we perceive things in such an analytical, detached way, a special emotion arises as a result of that. It isn't unemotional, it's just.. different. I know that extravagant displays of emotions make me really uncomfortable - but to say I don't feel anything at all would be crazy, you know? Especially if there are harsh Pluto aspects but good Saturn aspects, it really makes for some.. android like qualities going on. I try to keep in touch with my Pisces Mars and Taurus Sun for the more openly humane parts of my nature and not let my Moon overwhelm me.

I think people sometimes forget that Aquarius is fixed sign. All fixed signs look for some sort of stability. For Taurus it's what they have, for Leo it's their relationships with people. Aquarius moon intellectualizes their emotions because it gives them some sense of control over themselves. Crazy displays of emotion are unsettling to them because of the rawness of the emotion and the unpredictability of them. It's unstable.

When u say -not emotional- do u mean not gushing around? Not Throwing emotions in the face, heart out on sleeve,etc... Or sth else? Specific? Key word : DETACHMENT.

I have never ever met an unemotional Aquarian Moon in my life. I find them very supportive too, but that may be because they fall in my 2nd house. My mother, a good friend, a co-worker, and a classmate are just one of many that I know.

They're very eccentric, but I wouldn't neccesarily say detached. Maybe more like...they intellectualize their feelings?

The moon is rather cool and intellectual in airy aquarius, but like a previous poster I would say they are sometimes emotionally detatched, not Not emotional. My man is a cappy sun with moon in aqua and he is very emotional, he also has a lot of scorpio though.

They analyze their emotions, sometimes to the point of not feeling them so strongly since they end up being moved to the mental realm.
They have to detach, understand it first, and then work on it, whether the work is feeling it, or acting on it. Just looking at this position of the Moon, and not aspects or anything else in the chart, they don't dwell on the feeling.

Without brain,u have no emotions. U have instincts=u r animal. It is brain, consciousness that makes u human. So,no 'intelectualizing emotions'. Brain processes, creates them. No 'well,u think about emotions, but, not me,i feeeel'
-Intelectualizing emotions-is something that cosmo-psychology created; u can be emotionally intelligent. No 'u brain,me heart'.
But,it is such a popular phrase... I used it also. But,in aqua moon case,i think it is better that we use -reasoning-. When dealng with aqua moons there is no empathy,no need. They will reason it. They will make themselves as objective as possible. Detached. It is like floating above ur body:u r not there but still grasping same big picture.

I'm an Aries with an Aquarius moon.

Yes, I've been called an Ice Queen before. But there have been plenty of times I wear my emotions on my sleeve (usually by choice, though). I consider myself very emotional but I'm pretty good at not showing what's going on in my head/heart.

Today - ugh - today has been a particularly emotional day for me but this time not by choice! I just woke up emotional so the whole day will be peculiar.

I'm a Virgo with an Aqua Moon
but my moon is in the 2nd house..in the lower part of my chart

I also have Chiron square Moon
Moon trine Pluto
Moon inconjunct Venus
Moon inconjunct Jupiter

I'm emotionally sensitive...but I don't express my feelings openly...I tend to keep my emotions to myself...so yeah emotions are hard for me...but yeah I do have them and they are intense...so yeah we are emotional

My dad, my sister, and my ex-boyfriend are all Aquarius moons... and in a nutshell, very emotional. Volatile, even.

RAS, great explanation, my mom has an Aqua moon, and she behaves exactly like you described! Also, her moon is in 12th house, so she tends to repress her emotions even more, and that makes her explode from time to time, then she yells & throws stuff around, and you can only look at her in surprise and wander what was that all about?!

I analyze my emotions and rationalize their being.
I only show my deepest emotions to those I trust, which are very few and only one person at 100% in my life to date.

29virgo here quincux aqua moon.

i do have deep feeling and my moon is in 5thH,so i welcome all game and arts and fun and often feel as sensitive as a child.but right,i keep alot to myself and i like to analyze my emotions.i can feel deep and catch alot of detail, others wont see...so thats why i keep alot to myself,no offense but aqua moon is not always detached, maybe it appears to be,but in truth its not.i am doing alot of artistic stuff which is again 5th house....thats my way of dealing with my emotions and cause i have pluto-mercury conjunction in libra/1st house i often speak out just right on,often i am misunderstood....so what else to say....dont judge us so harshly

As far as I've seen aqua moons do not show any emotions but it doesn't mean that they are non-emotional, they just live their emotions deep inside, so you do not see any emotion coming out of them. Their sensitivity level depends on their entire chart however, even if they're sensitive you wouldn't see that. They SEEM detached, distant or too cool sometimes which is not equal to being non-emotional.
