@Ami AnneYes, romantic, otherwordly beautiful and-pure- I think that's a key word here-purity which isn't always compatible with physical passion. So someone could feel repulsed or embarassed by it. Sometimes, it feels like a sacrilege to desire a person that way. Those are of course some extreme expressions of that aspect. Mostly, it's just about loving someone in a pure and dreamy way. I agree. That was my experience so far. The passage talks about Neptune's super high ideals. I'm not the Neptune person in this relationship, but I do have Neptune in a wide conjunction to Venus and my Moon and remember a year where I had it conjunct my SR ASC...I can relate to the idea of getting caught up in a certain magic and idealism and then becoming fearful of taking the steps to bring that magic into the physical world. Particularly because the physical world can be grizzly... and when it comes to sex there's physical effort involved and I feel like Neptune is more content to dream away lazily. The idea of not participating in the "give and take" that love requires out of fearful paralyzation makes a lot of sense to me here. At the same time, the love that exists in this aspect blows me away. I don't know, its really something. IP: Logged |

to me, this is the scariest aspect.
even with trines and sextiles.
unless it's both ways!nice thing though, if you've been hardened by past experiances....this is def. one aspect that can teach you to feel again...even if it eventually leads to a let down (to variying degrees) regarding the *ex, i think it would ruin the whole magic of it. IP: Logged |

--I think you made a very good point. I have Venus sextile Neptune, natally. I've never given much weight to the sextiles, but in this case it seems it's overpowered my Leo Mars & 1H Venus-Pluto. I'm very airy fairy idealistic, perfectionist. Watching it glorified in movies (not porn), with perfect lighting/moods & fantasizing about it is great. When it comes down to actually doing it, not that interested, as it totally pales in comparison. Perhaps I've channeled too much of that energy into creative endeavors, I just have no interest/energy left in sex. *shrug* I dont think it's a problem, as I've met other ppz like me. SYNASTRY:
I've had this aspect (Neptune-Venus conjunct), twice with 2 men. I never got involved, "romantically," but nevertheless our relationship was deeply profound & magical. GuyA. We worked together, he (Venus) was smitten by me, but I was not physically attracted to him at all. We developed a deep friendship, that's magical in the sense...it felt "more," than normal platonic best friends, but minus the romance. I cant even really describe it in words. It's like you love that person so much, even more than your favourite family members. Perhaps the same caliber as a lover whom you pine away for, but minus the pining & sexual attraction? In normal friendship situations, you never get that right? LOL. I definitely saw him as ideal bf/husband material, except I was totally not attracted to him. I could totally see myself marrying him but, NEVER wanting to have sex with him everz. GuyB. We were totally infatuated with each other, but didnt do anything cuz of long distance. It was obvious if the ball started rolling, overcoming the addiction would be terrible. This time, I perceived him (Venus) to be my IDEAL man, & pined away pretty hard. Everything from his education, to poise, manners, refinement, style, & perfect looks. I definitely put him on a pedestal. We even had syncing dreams about each other. I had to consciously pry my perception (ego) away from my intellect for the first time. Upon doing so, I "know," he's actually not THAT, "ideal," however Neptune put the blinders on so much...I couldnt stop feeling so. IP: Logged |

It's fabulous for you if you love Neptunian relationships, cos you're gonna get a lot of it.

My Descendant is 6° 04' Pisces. I guess it will be sometime before Neptune gets there.
