Enchantress: I have always been attracted to the men in my life immediately, and obsessed within days, and I have Venus in Libra. I actually think it might be my Scorpio. Also, don't know how much credence anyone lends to that book of birthdays by Joost Elffers, but my birthday (November 1) is known as the day of Blitzkrieg, or something like that - the books says that people born on my birthday do things in crazy bursts of energy/passion, like they go for what they want immediately, no holds barred, and that's been true of me with men. Unfortunately, because common sense is not part of my blitzkrieg and I pay dearly later!

This is not to say that I am viewed as the pursuer. My blitzkrieg has generally been of the variety where I plan and scheme to be in the same place as the guy, or make sure I learn about what he likes so I can speak intelligently about it, etc. I have only once been really direct about my affections prior to the man showing interest, and then I was ridiculously direct, and I believe that the relationship was heavily karmic and that I was just compelled to do something I never had before. I was truly shameless.

No - I've never been wishy washy at all when it comes to love/relationships.

I am not sure I know what you mean by needing someone to be an ideal, but I do idealize my men until reality sets in, and that's usually an awful downer. Now, in my early 40's, I have finally learned my lesson and if I am in a relationship again, I'm going to be a lot more realistic from the beginning.

I do not need my partner to be perfect, or even conventionally good-looking. I do need him to have some sort of refinement. A guy who thinks it's funny to pass gas repeatedly and as loud as possible on a daily basis is not going to be my first choice.

But my Venus also has one aspect - opposition Moon. Hehe.

Hi enchantress, Venus in Libra here concjunct mercury in the 6th house. It doesn't take me a long time to decide if I'm interested in someone, I usally know pretty quickly. I have been known to just go up to someone and say "Hey, I like you, want to go out with me?" I think Mars Leo in the 5th has something to do with that-hahaha.

But experience has made me not be so willing to just go with the attraction. I can't say I regret any of the relationships I've been in but I'd prefer one that doesn't have such intense karma attached to it. Which brings us to the ideal.

Of course I have an ideal and there are just things I will not accept in a partner. No matter how great they maybe otherwise, I have my dealbreakers and actions that will get no second chances. Part of it is from things that I personally do not want to deal with and part of it is I have a child to think about and I refuse to bring unecessary **** into his life. So I'm pretty steadfast on the things I consider important.

I have extremely discerning tastes when it comes to Aesthetics, Arts, Music, Fine dining, Etiquette, Manners (TABLE manners). Actually I'm not even sure if such defining criticism comes from Libra's high aesthetic standards or Virgo's criticism.

I dont care how goodlooking a guy is, if he's got bad dressing style or doesnt have good social refinement/table etiquette,...goodbye. I'm super decisive that way, even if I'm madly lusting after the guy. These are instant deal breakers because I dont believe in having to re-train or "change," anyone & wont invest my time. I also dont appreciate crudeness. I get that some of my friends/people, think it's cool to swear per every other sentence. I hate that. I do cuss too, but not much. I never point out my critical thoughts to anyone, as it's rude. An example would be weekly family dine outs...which I dont quite enjoy. I think my brothers & their gf's all eat like slobs. Despite being raised the same in social/table etiquette, they dont care at all. I sit there losing some appetite & feeling bothered, but yet refusing to point it out to them. LOL.

I get the impression that most of you (and the guys I know) already KNOW that they have an interest in someone, but that because the Libra is so discerning (similar to Virgo, but not) and also so believing in genuine love (not just lust) that it is difficult for you all to just jump into a relationship without considering the repercussions. Even though some of you HAVE jumped into relationships, my feeling on it is that you probably already knew that person was just 'your type' or whatever and so you didn't have to do as much weighing of the options.

The refinement thing that you all speak of makes sense to me, and on the whole, with my Virgo Sun conjunct Virgo Venus, I've got a good sense of style and good manners. I'm just more in your face about things and I will be bluntly honest (a lot of people consider me rude when I feel like I'm just being truthful), so I'm surprised I haven't scared these people away!

I will say that with the Libra Venus/Mars that I know (or knew) TALKED when he flirted. It was all talk, which isn't a bad thing by itself, but I tend to need more physicality (because I have a Virgo Venus). I have also come to understand that the air Venus and Mars signs do TALK more than anything else when they are interested in you.

So Mr. Libra Venus/Mars talked for MONTHS, and I didn't think he was interested because he didn't directly pursue me, even though he would hint at things. So a Libra Mars/Moon (with a Cappy Venus) came along, and HE understood my need for physical flirting (thank you Cappy Venus). HOWEVER, when Mr. Libra Venus/Mars saw Mr. Libra Mars/Moon flirting with me, he all of a sudden went caveman on me (Leo Sun) and then seemed offended that I was flirting with the other guy. Color me confused...

However, Mr. Libra Mars/Moon wasn't terribly much better (aloof Aqua Sun). He was SLIGHTLY more direct, but even with him, I can't seem to get a good read because he's COMPLETELY different from me (LOTS of air). He does seem like he's trying to impress me sometimes with some of the things he says and he almost seems to be evaluating me with some of the questions he asks, but again... NOT DIRECT AT ALL.

That's why I was asking the questions I was... Probably neither one of them likes me all THAT much, because otherwise I think they would have been more direct, but I just thought I'd try to figure out their motivations anyway.

Air signs continue to boggle my mind because I've got 5 planets in fire signs so the motivations are a bit different.

Scorpio Sun, Aries Moon & Sag Asc with Libra Venus here.

Does it take you a long time to make a decision about whether or not you are interested in someone?
Ans-We would like to consider several partners before we decide on someone. I would like several people because of several reason and at times many people. Ofcourse at times none of them are prefect or ideal. Thus when Scorpio Sun comes and help by saying whom do you think would keep you happy long term.

I would say yes.We would like to know that how person is going to react in different circumstances like on first date,
after having sex, in problem, while meeting your friends, while meeting parents. Whether person is going to take a responsibility and stick around or not.Whether the person is genuine and honest or not.I keep second guessing and worry whether this is real love and whether it is going to work for future or not.even though I had very strong feeling and intution for my fiance whom I am going to get married in 2 months we waited for 3 years. I am sure but I still occassionally ask him whether we are doing right thing.Also whether he wants it as much as I want it. One has to reassure lots whenever we think otherwise and at the end of it accept us as we are.Venus in Libra would be very keen on knowing whether you love them or not as well.If not more than them but atleast equally. If it is a Scorpio you would be tested on different scenario. Wants to be sure that when the first few drops of rain comes you wouldn't run away.

Ans- I have dated several people before finally engaged to Aries Sun , Libra Asc and Cancer Moon. The reason is he is perfect gentlemen.He has impeccable manners.I had to actually compliment his mother for his manners.He never swears at people only gadgets.He always calms me down & gives hope when there is a problem. Hugs me when I have a problem.Reassures me that he would be there.Be there right next to me but not asking me thousand of questions. I know it sometime sounds to good to be true but there are things like indecisveness, stubborness,negativity which gets me but we finally work out some way.

One day,I saw him get very angry.
I saw the Libra Mars in action.
I saw someone "assault" him, verbally.
He stopped and weighed all options(Cap moon and Libra Mars)
Then,he took quiet and strong action against the person.
He told me to always make sure you are in the RIGHT before you unleash your anger.
If you are in the right,let it go.

That seems to define Libra Mars,wouldn't you say.
They must have righteous anger.
When they do, they will unleash it. However,they will make sure it IS righteous anger.

I once read Libra Venus becomes physically ill in case of conflicts, and I definitely do. I get fever and headache, start shaking, etc. (but maybe it's linked to my Moon-Chiron conjunction also?). Horrible really. Peaceful surroundings are of major importance to me. I think in case of a real, huge conflict with a partner, I might get into hospital or something. My mum was literally dying because of my dad. Literally. When he wasn't there, she was half alive. I don't want to be that way.. I hope such things won't happen to me. *sigh*

I get physically 'sick' also. Doesn't help that I live in a very chaotic family environment(parents are scorpios. Dad has 6 planets in scorp (finally know why he's always so emotional and bad tempered) and mum is also pretty scorpy.
