Imagine a very large box. You open it and find a toy plus another box. Once you get tired of playing with the toy, you open the next box. And so on. Every subsequent box has a more expensive gift and is more difficult to open. The last box has a pink diamond and is in a Chromium box.

The collection of gifts and boxes as a whole is Astrological Knowledge of your Chart at different Levels. Playing with a gift is mastering that level of Astrology for Self and others. The Box represents a specific layer of Karmic Debt.

The Pink Diamond represents full Spiritual Enlightenment with access to your Super Consciousness. No more boxes meaning Karmic Debts cease from this level. The tool you need to open the more difficult boxes is the Kybalion [7 Hermetic Laws]. Increasing the intensity of these Hermetic Laws helps us penetrate the most difficult Astrological Mysteries, like working of Karma across dimensions.

You can never grow as a person or in Astrology without applying the 7 Hermetic Laws. There are people who can write a thousand pages on just one aspect but they cannot apply that aspect to better their life, it is because of ignorance of the Kybalion.

You are stuck in a plateau at the moment because you may have accidentally ignored some aspects of your chart. Maybe you have ignored some specific Asteroids. Maybe you have not pondered on the Sabian Symbols of your Ascendant, Venus or Saturn. Maybe you have not yet released the psychic cords/karmic debts of a previous relationship. Someone out there thinks you have broken his heart and this grudge could be blocking love in your life [and his life as well but he is happy being miserable, it is your duty to apply spiritual techniques and cut off those cords.]

Astrology will be a guide to all these possibilities, especially seeing the transits of karmic planets. This is a time of truth and awakening, even astrologers who are ignoring Pluto's rulership of Aries will get confounded because Pluto is wrecking the negativity of Capricorn and will use Uranus in his home sign very soon.

IQ, I always find your posts inspiring and invigorating.

Ami, I *feel* so happy with my Sun, it feels like I'm meant to be an 8th house Leo and my Cancer placements are weighing me down...like the Leo Sun is the "real me" and my Cancer stuff is an illness. I have Sun conjunct Mercury (2) and Sun sextile Uranus (2)...I feel like that sextile is very much activated in the parts of my life I'm happy about (my career, creative work, research and study, yoga-meditation practice)...i am a little bit Uranian, but in a gentle way. Uranus is in a loose (6 degree), out-of-sign conjunction with my midheaven, and I feel like there's a happy bit of Uranus in the way I pursue my lifepath. As for Sun-Mercury, I don't really think that conjunction is challenging.

I was always in a close relationship until recently--2 years as a teen, 14 years as an adult (the first two years on-and-off, a happy affair with a Gemini in between.) But I really don't feel like I have problems with my view of men, more problems with myself and my emotional patterns.

But...also being unhappy in love is a recent thing, past few years. I guess it's a stage when I have to deal with and confront that stuff.

Do you find yourself going for the same sign all the time? If so, and if those relationships don't work out, then it's probably time to consciously try out other signs. I went for a lot of Cancers that just didn't work out for me. I switched, and I felt better with the switch.

Examples of how I believe astrology helps me in my love life:

Chart Ruler
My chart ruler is Mercury. I had a great relationship with a Sun conjunct my Mercury even with our Moons in exact square. Never a fight.

7th House
My 7th house is in Sag. That's also where my chart ruler is, so it's pretty important to me. I like Sagittarian traits in women.

Venus or Mars
My Venus and Neptune are also in Sag. Venus is what guys like in women. You should check your Mars. It can give you insight into what you're instinctively drawn to.

Sun/Moon
When one person's Sun conjunct another's Moon, there's a certain familiarity. It would certainly bode well to find you had this with a potential suitor. I think conjunctions to the chart ruler may also be a good sign.

Ascendant
If a potential partner's Ascendant is in a sign of your Sun, Moon, or Ascendant I would consider that a favorable sign. In my Moon square Moon relationship, the woman had Capricorn Rising (Capricorn is my Sun sign), so I think that helped as well.

Masculine/Feminine
Some people catch on to my fascination with this aspect of astrology, but not all. It's good to know the make-up of your chart based on masculine and feminine. I have feminine Sun, Moon, Mars and Jupiter. Everything else is masculine. I think I prefer masculine Sun/Moon women. It's complimentary. Interestingly, I think more feminine-based people want the freedom to express more forwardly, while more masculine people like the opportunity to express their sensitivity. That's why they balance well together. Masculine/masculine can be too macho/competitive, and feminine/feminine can be too moody/oversensitive.
