COFFEE!!!!!! You are exactly correct in my situation! I have had a severe crush for years on a Gemini man whose Sun is almost exactly on my Saturn. I am a Cap AC, so Saturn rules of course. I always guessed he had a Aqua AC and my Mars is in Aqua so I had considered THAT, but not the Saturn rulership (though I have read many Sun conjunct Saturn interpretations). He has other planets in Gemini as well, of course, also conjunct my Saturn.

You know amowls, I actually wrote a post saying basically the same things you said in your last reply but somehow it never posted, must have been a glitch or something. I mean, its cool to have your own theories and whatnot but cmon, much of astrology has been around for thousands of years. To pass off your own theories at the expense of tried and true "rules" of astrology is really reaching. The angles are really important. The rulers are too but to negate the angles in favor of the rulers is best left as a personal theory rather than present it as fact and at the same time denigrate all the professionals who tend to stick by rules and methods that have been around for millennia.

Some of the things I've read on this site are waaaaay out there. Couple of things I've seen that stuck out is the perpetual acceptance of only using super tight orbs. Pretty soon if the trend continues, we'll only be counting half a degree or less and disregarding anything wider as projections and delusions. Another thing is that some say trines and sextiles are bad for synastry and squares and oppositions are good and healthy... Yeah, okay.

Anyways, that's just my 2 cents. No disrespect to anyone here.

Gemini Sun
Libra Moon
Gemini Mercury
Cancer Venus
Virgo Mars
Virgo Asc

And yes, I'm a guy!

I haven't completely read thru this but I have never had someone else's planet on my ASC, and I'm definitely not attracted to the sign my AC is in. For some reason I'm always attracting people who have their Sun, Moon or Venus on my MC. That's the magnet for me. (and my AC and MC are not squared... they are actually a wide (6 degree) trine...)

Also, I'm no where close to being a professional astrologer but I completely agree with the house rulership thing... it's worked out with 95% of the charts I have studied. I started studying astrology 3 yrs ago and quickly picked up that HR is a huge thing (for my chart) For example... where my 5th and 7th house rulers are located are major magnets too for me, plus the MC. If 2 of the 3 aren't covered for me the relationship never went anywhere.
