My interest isn't stupid...I have a sort of fascination with wanting to understand how people self-justify, frame, and represent their delusions. The fascination outweighs my vague irritation and disgust a lot of the time. It would be interesting to watch some of these people in a real-life session with a therapist...but I doubt they would spout some of that stuff in real life. (And if they did, they would risk involuntary incarceration in a mental health facility.) I actually agree with you that all humans experience all the vices (including you, of course)...I just meant to say that none of those things you listed (and especially not anything wicca, wtf?) are my immediate motivations on this thread...I am in fact human (thank god I'm not a rock and ice formation in the Kuniper Belt!) and not a liar.

I don't think all humans suffer from delusional disorders or grandiose personality disorder {not to be confused with grandiosity, which non-psychotics express--the difference is that psychotics don't have insight into their lack of touch with reality] or mania or florid psychosis, though.

When someone thinks they're a special chosen one, more enlightened than others, usually it's less about the ubiquity of the divine and more about Grandiose Disorder. Whether your loved ones should worry and make sure you're safely sedated in a loony bin comes down to how literally you believe you're receiving a direct outside message.
