I've been on this board for a while, not as a member, but as a reader. Felt compelled to get to know you guys!

Human Design: They say it's like unlocking the code to one's DNA.
It synthesizes the centers (chakras), channels (Kabbalah), hexagrams (I Ching), and planetary activations (astrology).

The basics are that there are two designs:conscious and unconscious. The conscious chart is a freeze-frame of the moment when you first took a breath, and the unconscious design is 88 degrees in the past, or the moment when one's soul entered one's body.
Then we go into the types, and there are five of them: The Manifestor, the Generator, the Manifesting Generator, the Projector and the Reflector. Then there's the 12 profiles the definitions, one's inner authority, the not self theme, the strategy and the incarnation cross.
There's 64 gates (I Ching) and there's channels connecting the gates.
I'll leave the investigating up to you!

If you want a free chart to start it off, type in www.jovianarchive.com, then click on "Get your free chart"

EDIT: If you want free software, type in newsunware.com then click on "Download"

I recently bought a book, so if you want to know a bit of information about the gates, the channels, the types, or the profiles, I'll post a summary. But you can find MOST of the (abbreviated) information online, though if you want to go indepth, you're going to have to rake up more than a few bucks.. even though it's a money-making business, it's so accurate, it's worth a try.

Alright, so now, tell us who you are, post the details to your human design chart!

Why woud you want to unlock your DNA? It sounds self-destructive. I personally feel most like myself when I'm in nature away from the world of concrete and metal...

Science and Nature.

This is like yin and yang.

Using only one side, is one sided. I use one side when need be.

I do not think anyone in modern society can be without some form of technology. If you go to a doctor, guess what?

That is mankind saving itself from nature, we do not want to die, nature is wanting to kill off any that are weak. People stop that from happening to themselves.

Battle of the ages

I agree nature is wonderful, But do not delude yourself one bit to think it is not a viscous animal coming for your throat.

We forget this, due to society removing itself from nature, This was not by mistake.

In the past, we could not have evolved, had we stayed in the forest.

So we have forgot, or killed off the idea of nature because of our "removal"

This is not advocate, people going into the woods to live.

Are you crazy?

The whole "unlocking your DNA" wasn't meant to be taken literally.
If it's not for you, then ignore it, but please don't opine before getting a feel for it.

I'd recommend this site for starters! http://humandesign.com/abc-course

Play around with the links, you'll find a bit of information, but it's the most you'll be able to get from one site!

Thanks Lonake! <3

I'd actually recommend downloading the software so you can have you and your family/friends charts archived, you know?

"There are 32 channels in the Human Design body graph. Each channel has 2 halves called gates. There are a total of 64 gates and they associate with the 64 hexagrams of the I'Ching. Each gate that is active (colored in) in your chart, adds a different "flavor" to your personality."

The best way to try to explain it is through analogy: Like, my Conscious Sun is in Gate 2 in human design, my Sun is in Taurus in astrology. Though, since it corresponds to I Ching's 64 hexagrams, there are 64 gates.

We can FURTHER subdivide the gates by introducing "lines", and there are six of them. For example, my Conscious Sun, stated previously, is in Gate 2, line 2. Line 2 adds an effortless and carefree quality to the gate, like flavoring.

Got the chart,
Manifesting Generator with the accompanying defined Sacral Center, "responds to things with a sense of your non-verbal affirmation, in your gut (...) Important to know your non-verbal responses and wait for them before expending any energy."
True, Water Sun, Earth Moon, feel things out.

quote:
Manifesting Generator
multi faceted strategy of waiting receptively and responsively for internal affirmation of response, then imaging the response as manifesting and revising where appropriate, then informing and being informed. When not honored in strategy, frustration and anger surface..

Revision is true for me with my Mars Rx, always refining.

Definition:

quote:
A Single Definition Type applies to a chart where there is definition in a channel or more than one channel and the channel or channels that have definition form one stream of connected energies. A Single definition person is at some level self-contained because their definition forms a single potential of energy, which reliably flows in them.

True, self-contained, shown in the astro by the bowl chart (Libra-Pisces placements and no more). Also Sun (chart ruler) in the 8th, lotsa Pluto. Focused, yes.

Authority:

quote:
Splenic Awareness Authority:
definition in the Splenic Center allows spontaneous operation through the awareness of intuition, instinct, or taste; such authority coming from the splenic center has a very quiet voice which speaks internally only once in the now. Splenic awareness may be Manifesting, Generating, or Projected depending on the path of definitions in the chart.

So this is the inner voice, that intuition. Yep got it, but so do most, imo..

Profile:

quote:
2/5
Because 5th line individual's protect their reputation and want things to be practical, the call to be in the transpersonal world must seem a worthwhile commitment.

5 is sounding like Capricorn, I have Capricorn Moon/Venus/SN.

OK!

And then there are double digits number to single number powers listed for Sun, Earth, Moon, nodes, planets for both Design & Personality.

Example,
Sun is @ 34 to the 5th power under Design
and @ 55 to the 2nd power under Personality.

My Sun @ 34 is in the Splenic Center (middle square) in red. (I might have the name of the center completely wrong.)

So I'm just looking at the Gates you listed,
For the Sun @ the Design level,
"Gate 34 – the power of the great: power is only great when its display or use serves the common good"
For the Sun @ the Personality level,
"Gate 55 – abundance: abundance is strictly a question of spirit"
Sun in the 8th..interesting, I agree with 55. You could have zero money to your name and be the richest person on Earth.

Looking at the Moon,
It's also 34 @ the Design level, so same as Sun.
It's @ 60 for the Personality level,
"Gate 60 – limitation: the acceptance of limitation is the first step in transcendence"
::smiles:: Moon in Capricorn, tell me about it.
Seriously though, knowing what is and isn't true about yourself is the foundation on which to build, since you know what you have to work with. Knowing limitations is a good thing.

NN is @ 62 for both Personality & Design,
"Gate 62 – preponderance of the small: caution, patience and detail produce excellence out of limitation."
NN ruler is in Capricorn in the 6th, and these sound like Virgo/Capricorn attributes. NN is in the 12th. Limited means force you to be creative, I know that much. This ties in again with knowing limitations and working within them to produce the best that you can. I know all about that.

You mentioned Earth,
Design Earth is @ 20
"Gate 20 – contemplation: recognition and awareness in the now which transforms understanding into right action"
Personality Earth is @ 59
"Gate 59 – dispersion: the ability to break down barriers to achieve union"
.
.
.
Does Design translate into unconscious and Personality into conscious, I wonder?

Taurus81 - more power to us 2/4 ManGen's! Lol here's a quick description: We don't like to be disturbed. Bold/outspoken one moment, then the next we retreat into the sanctuary we've prepared. We're an enigma, people can't tell where our moods will be. We're naturals, easygoing, and warm to the bone. We're on an eternal quest to find who we are. We have a fear of rejection which we must get over. We will explode if pushed hard enough. There's something of a genius in is, and we're highly creative - when left to ourselves. We're naturals, like I said. The more natural we become, the more fearless. That's our goal.

Lonake - you've got it.
Design is unconscious - it's what other people see in us before we can see it in ourselves. Personality is conscious.
And I've also noticed the parallels between my natal chart and human design! I thought, either everything is synchronized or this is just a guessing game. But it's proven so accurate, it's like synergistic in its effect - it can only get better!

EDIT: Here's a quick 2/5 profile desscription - You can be caught between solitariness and distant fantasies. You're a capable leader who is almost reticent to lead, unsure. You can be an imaginative, charismatic leader. You're uncertain whether anyone will understand you underneath all that detachment. You usually don't let people in. You're a dreamer, and an innovative one. You underestimate your brilliance. Your reputation and "act" matters greatly to you. Only when you're alone does the actor go backstage. You are content being an onlooker, a hermit. You may live up to a false image. People can converse with you a milltion times and have no clue as to who you are. Life is a potential playgrund - stop giving importance to the approval of others; let yourself go.

Does it ring a bell?
