How does horary work, and why is it accurate? How accurate has it been for you?It seems like fortune-telling to me! Which means, if it's accurate, that's pretty exciting. This thread got me thinking about it: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum24/HTML/207389.html IP: Logged |

You create a natal chart for the birth of an event, such as a question. The horary chart will show the life span of the question, with specific detail as to how to answer. You know where to look. (Most do anyway) hehe.Whether your natal chart will show this answer and override the horary question is a difficult matter. This practice of finding the answer has been used for ages, and will continue to be used. As most don't do astrology correctly, you won't find many good examples of the horary chart working, only guesses. Works? Don't see why not. Both horary and 8 ball/tarot/whatever give you answers, though horary is like a treasure map where you have to look for the answer. Not straight, but an answer. You can only ask a horary question that is PERSONAL to you, not like 'Who will win this football match?'. That is very daft thinking. IP: Logged |

Thanks, Coffee!I think the reason people don't want to do a horary for RunningAroundScreaming's question (I posted a link to the thread above) is that they think the question already has an obvious answer. But I hope someone who knows horary will do one for her. IP: Logged |

Is this seriously a question? Granted it may be abused, the horary involves a little more than a cheap trick designed to keep kids at summercamp pre-occupied for hours. IP: Logged |

It IS a serious question...I had no idea how it worked (Coffee's explanation helps a little)...it asks yes or no questions about things that probably can't be accurately predicted.

Well Yeah, but its alot more complex than a "magic" 8 Ball (and I stress the "" on the magic part...LOLOL). IP: Logged |

I actually asked my real question in the opening post, not the catchy title (LOL): quote: How does horary work, and why is it accurate? How accurate has it been for you?

Because it is based on a system rather than random chance (horary and electional astrology are closely related). You might as well back up and say "why does astrology work?"IP: Logged |

Hard to say. Sometimes a horary chart is very difficult to read and I am not skilled enough at interpreting them. It's also hard to do them for yourself since you are a biased party and people tend to skew answers to what they want and then say "HORARY DOESN'T WORK" when a so-called positive answer doesn't happen.IP: Logged |

Yeah, I want to ask you to do the same question for me you just did for RunningAroundScreaming! But I'm scared if I get an answer I don't like, me and my Cancer Moon will go on some weepy bender. So actually it's like I don't really want a real answer to my question, I just want to get what I wantThank you for giving her a horary answer. IP: Logged |
