Anubis (July 25 - August 28)

Anubis is the guardian of the nether world. It is the most determined of all signs. Those born under this sign are self-confident and their ability to keep things under control make them widely respectable

zodiac2

Strengths: sympathetic, generous, loving and perseverant in proving their view point.

Jobs assumed: advertisement and fashion.

A note from Tour Egypt: Occasionally we find interesting tidbits from the Egyptian government. This is certainly one of those, though the source and information is difficult to verify. Hence, we are running this story not so much as a serious research paper, but more for the fun of it. However, the Louvre Museum does provide a display of what it calls a Zodiac from the ceiling of a chapel of the great temple of Denderah (Dendera), though this Zodiac is dated to 50 BC (the Roman Period, after the Greek Period). For additional information (and a more serious discussion) on ancient Egyptian astrology, see the Tour Egypt section on this topic.

Ask Me anything. Anything. I will contrive to bring you the answer. The whole universe will I use to do this. So be on the lookout. This book is far from My only tool. You may ask a question, then put this book down. But watch. Listen. The words to the next song you hear. The information in the next article you read. The story line of the next movie you watch. The chance utterance of the next person you meet. Or the whisper of the next river, the next ocean, the next breeze that caresses your ear—all these devices are Mine; all these avenues are open to Me. I will speak to you if you will listen. I will come to you if you will invite Me. I will show you then that I have always been there. All ways.

keep in mind that the Egyptians were influenced by the Greeks

The Ptolemaic Royal Dynasty in Egypt was Macedonian Greek.

Famous Cleopatra ,who had love affairs and children with both Julius Caesar and Marc Antony, was part of that dynasty.

Therefore, the Egyptian Zodiac changed from the decanate sign zodiac to a month sign zodiac

Right on, AG!

We both have Sun in Isis in the original Egyptian zodiac.

My both my exgf Meghann and my best friend, Steve were born on March 30th,and so they have Sun in Isis in the original Egyptian

I believe that both zodiacs are valid.
The combination of the 2 zodiacs could help understand

the difference of self expression between 2 people with the same zodiac sign in the Greek-influenced Egyptian zodiac.

and

similarities between people of different Greek-influenced Egyptian zodiac signs

February 11

--------

SHU: (JANUARY 26 - FEBRUARY 24)
Shu is the god of sunlight and wind. Those born under Shu are incredibly creative. Whenever their talents are proved, their success becomes inevitable. Nevertheless, they are always apprehensive of possible failure.

Strengths: humorous, conscientious and principled.
Weaknesses: being hesitant, they often lose great opportunities.
Jobs assumed: social work, counseling, agriculture, care and prevention of cruelty to animals.

(This is pretty accurate, even with the jobs assumed, I'm not in social work or counseling, but I definitely want it to be a part of my life in some way as well as agriculture - I so wish I had a garden to grow stuff- and fighting for animal rights)

--------

Amon-Ra

Very generous, fruitful, people feel reassured around you, and willing to give their best.

Colors: male: yellow, female: orange
Compatible Signs: The Nile, Horus
Dates: Jan 8 - Jan 21, Feb 1 - Feb 11

Role: A god of the creation of the earth; the patron god of Thebes; and the king of all the gods of Egypt
Appearance: Form of a man, wearing crown with the sun disc and double feather plumes. Sometimes shown with blue skin.
Sacred animals: ram, goose

(This one is a bit vague. I am aware, though, that I can motive people very easily and it makes me feel good when I do it)

--------

When I was very young I was obsessed with the Ancient Egypt, I knew what all the gods were and what they represented and the mythology and everything. I've forgotten a lot now, but I still find their history and art fascinating.

It's interesting to find, as I personally discover more and more different variations of astrology, how similar the traits attributed to each native are.

I like to watch Graham Hancock documentaries, The zodiac is suggested to go way back in egypt, much earlier than what is accepted.

I like that point of view, because he backs it up.

Note:

The Narmer Palette, also known as the Great Hierakonpolis Palette or the Palette of Narmer

"the first historical document in the world"

Dated to 31st century BC(or whichever you choose)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Narmer_Palette

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Narmer

The first king, He used a white lotus flower crown, the crown of upper egypt.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hedjet

So many things in religious areas are connected to the lotus flower.

Many statues of buddha are with a lotus flower, Many traditional martial arts have a lotus flower theme.

It is my speculation, that much of what we have or had came or was inspired by ancient egypt.

Just for fun:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YcJ9yxyKlaQ

It is interesting to note the similarity of the lotus crown and pei mei's hair style.

ISIS, SISTER OF NEPHTHYS, MISTRESS OF MAGIC...

http://www.touregypt.net/godsofegypt/isis.htm

To the ancient Egyptians, she was all that a mother should be - loving, clever, loyal and brave. Many statues and images show Isis holding the infant Horus on her knee, suckling the young god. To the Egyptians, she was the purest example of the loving wife and mother, and that was how they worshiped her - and loved her - the most. In a culture where fertility was a sign of success and sexual attractiveness, it's no wonder that the Egyptians cherished the fruitful Isis.
