I have strong Uranus placements:

Uranus

on ASC (Scorpio)
opposition Moon (Taurus)
square Venus (Leo)
trine Mars Jupiter conjunction(Cancer)
sextile Sun Mercury conjunction (Virg0)

My IC is in Aqua.

On my FB (98% people I know) I found I have more aqua friends than any other sign.
IDK if that is because I like them or its because I relate to them more being an aqua myself.

My mother is an Aqua Sun with an exact combust to Mercury.
It may be in the 12th house or the 1st house.

Well, Aqua energy jars me. Uranus energy jars me.
I have a very retiring Uranus,Thank Goodness.
It conjuncts Jupiter and makes one generational square,only.

If everyone was dressed for a formal occasion, she would wear sneakers.

She would have an arrogant attitude that SHE did not need to conform to rules lol

However,inside she was very afraid of not being accepted socially.

Hence, the disconnect that *I* associate with Aqua's.

I feel they are not true to who they REALLY are.
They are false in that they present themselves as one thing when they are another.

That is a fine answer BUT it takes away from the FEELINGS that the person has.
It discounts the feelings of the person.

I think I just answered my own question

Aqua's discount feelings,often, and replace them with ideas.

My mother did this to me for a lifetime .I am very sensitive to it.

But I'm a Cancer ASC, Sun and Mars and I actually really really like Aqua influenced people (more Suns and Venus). Not so much Mars or Moon.

My Mom has both the Mars and Moon in Aqua and I can't deal with her (she is also a Pisces...I don't really care for them as well...so that might be something too). But she is the worst kinda of Aqua influenced person...with strong Pluto lol.

I think just overall having a very Uranian upbringing (my mom is a strange mix of a conservative-liberal due to being raised in the deep south and then living in California for over 40 years) helped me value Aqua traits. I moved around ALOT and kinda learned to keep pretty much everything at arms length to not get upset when I left (not that this is a positive). My father and sister also moved out when I was 5 so according to the Uranus-Moon aspects emotional cutting off occurs in order to not care...which is the definition of who I am lol.

My mom wasn't a traditional mom...she raised me to be open minded, and she never got married (despite being a Southern girl that was born in the 1940's). However I will say that when I do like an Aqua they have SOMETHING in Water (just hopefully not Moon in Water...WAY too emotionally clingy even if they are an Aqua). Honestly I prefer Mer in Water (or even Venus) because they are cerebral people and with the Mercury they tend to think in sensitive terms (but the only thing about an Aqua with Water signs/Mer is they communicate like a Water sign...which is not at all lol...and they tend to be emotional more than my own Cancer self lol). My Leo Mercury and Sun/Asc/Mars Conjunction in the 1st will def express something if I have a problem with you...there is NO passive aggressiveness in me at all lol. If its just the ASC in Water I find that they aren't as sensitive as they appear.

I think my fave thing about Aqua's is that they aren't up your butt ALL the time. In fact one of my good Aqua friends and I were talking last night that in the beginning of any relationship its acceptable to be around each other all the time (its new)...but then it gets old quickly (and I have a 7th house Moon lol). I also said that the set up that Helen Bonham Carter and Tim Burton have is what I want in a serious relationship/marriage. They live together in two separate but conjoined houses (and raise the family together because they are committed), its just that they both need space. I can't even sleep in the same bed as someone as it just feels stifling. And all the Aqua's I've dated have understood that.

Another thing I love is that the vast majority of Aqua's I've been with stay friends even if a relationship doesn't work out (which lets be honest...they eventually do bore of the person and want out lol). They truly value people as people and not just as a bf or gf (which is super selfless to me) and that is why they stay friends (at least if the person didn't treat them like crap). To me this is the opposite of detached (as so many ppl want to say they are) in that it is more heartless to just throw the person away.

I also love how they really don't know the meaning of holding a grudge. They can be hurt or be mad about something but eventually they will forget about it and forgive or at least keep it in perspective. They also tend to remember the best traits of something when looking back.

Obviously they have bad traits (every sign does) but I find for the most part they are pretty decent people who truly care for others, and even if they screw up they really did have good motives.

Uranus wise I have a Yod that is btw my Uranus and Jupiter Sextile that is inconjunct both sides of my Sun/Mars Conjunction, my Mercury is in Aspect to Uranus. My Jupiter is in Aqua and my Uranus is in Sag (they are in mutual reception by sign and are in aspect too). I also have Venus/NN/Lilith and Juno in the 11th so that might be why I tend to value traditional Aqua traits. My IC (which due to me being a Cancer is stronger) is Square Uranus. So my Moon manifests as Uranus Square Moon.

Everything combined shows why I tend to really like Aqua's even if they can be a pain sometimes lol.

My mom does this...but its only annoying when I am really upset about something (which is rare)...but generally she is right. For instance with the Aqua ex...she said once you aren't the only one that has been hurt. Why do you have to get over him, you can still feel stuff for him but learn to live without them and eventually look back fondly. I was livid at the time, but intellectually I knew she was right (it just wasn't what I wanted to hear then lol).

But to counter that what would you want them to say to you for instance with above. I think that the answer given is responding to emotions as they are trying to be positive and upbeat and lift you up.

Also would any of you Aqua's say this? My own mom would NEVER say this. In fact she gets all dolled up for herself just because she wants to not because she is trying to please anyone else. In fact I have never seen a typical Aqua just look any old way.
