Tip: If you do not have either of these placements... Please don't rain on anyone's parade in this thread or start posting about negative experiences you have had. I am very much so -- not interested in your negative experiences -- And it is not why I created this thread. If you would like to b*tch.. make an alternate thread. IP: Logged |

Scorp/merc. House Two.Mercury in Scorpio makes the mind probing, shrewd, secretive, resourceful, penetrating, dynamic, investigating, diagnosing, bold, witty, and even sarcastic or biting. Thoughts tend to be intuitive, psychic, forceful, intense, and acute. The mind is interested in motivation, mysteries, psychism, death, and mysticism, often asking why. Mercury in the second house focuses the mind on values, finances, and possessions. One may have talent in writing or the arts as a communicator and quick worker. Changes in finances and material goods may require adaptability. IP: Logged |

I think she meant that she didn't want anyone coming in to complain about a negative experience with someone with either placement? I don't have either one, I'm Mars in Pisces, but was curious, and have been thinking about my own interactions with Merc in Aries, Sadge and Leo. IP: Logged |

Mercury in Scorpio in the 2nd house here...Gosh a few of us! Hey...I am going to be negative, but just to say that I really notice it when someone's mercury is square mine or in another element. Lots of misunderstandings... But that won't be a problem here IP: Logged |

Mercury planted firmly at 29° Pisces 22'R in the 10th house. It's technically at a "critical degree" within Pisces but I notice mostly Piscean thought-patterns with brilliant bursts of simple clarity when the Moon is right.IP: Logged |

Me too, I would also like to know more about Pisces Mercury, especially if you have Sun, Venus, Chiron and maybe even Moon in Aries. IP: Logged |

I'm a Pisces Mercury with the Moon and Venus in Aries. Without a specific trait you'd like explained I'm afraid I'm only able to offer an overview of what it's like. My Mercury is at 29° Pisces. I often get flashes of knowledge with no explanation of where they came from. When I speak, it's with feeling and I need an emotional connection with someone to feel that I'm communicating with them. Luckily, with Mercury sitting so close to Aries, I usually pick them up rather quickly. I'm the type who can have someone explain something to me three different times and it isn't until they're passionate about what they're saying that I understand it clearly.IP: Logged |

@curbroThank you for your explanations. Some of them respond very well to my experience with an Aries. I'm very VERY interested in a man who has all those Aries placements I mentioned. Basically, he's all fire and air (mainly Aries and Aquarius). His Pisces Mercury is a singleton. When I started to approach him (I didn't pay enough attention to his Pisces Mercury), I tried to be all intellectual and fast talking . While in public he himself displays these traits , in a one-to-one communication he is different. He didn't respond so well to my "facts and figures" talk, but rather to me showing passion, emotion and even a little drama. He has a poetic soul and his response is much better when I speak "in pictures" instead of plain facts. I hope you know what I mean, my English is very limited, I'm sorry. I must admit, I have neglected Mercury a bit in the charts, maybe due to the fact that my Mercury in Scorpio is close to the Sun, so I can't tell them apart very well. Now with this guy being all fire and air, I start to realise the influence that mercury can have. I also hope that this water influence softens this Aries a bit . IP: Logged |

I notice Mercury most in the mental faculties and reasoning methods that a person uses. When you can tell their "wheels are turning" that's Mercury. It's also sometimes evident in the way they speak (although this also depends on the placement and planets occupying the third house). My third house, for instance, is in Leo. While I have no planets in it, I do notice that I try to be as concise as possible when I speak (Aries) and that I'm usually very aware of how the words I use will impact the person(s) I'm using them on/with. Often, though, I have problems finishing sentences because I've picked up on some other impression or a strong feeling from someone and gotten preoccupied. Although my natal Mercury is retrograding back in to Pisces, that 29° ensures a constant tug-of-war between the two. IP: Logged |

Mercury in Scorpio, 12th house here. I have found that in the 12th house, some of the time I have a hard time getting my point across, it doesn't help that my natal Mars is also 12th house, but in Sag. I can be a little guarded.Usually, while I'm talking to people, I'm also picking up their energy, so it's a little distracting. I have to keep my focus and avoid changing topic midstream. I do love the fact that I have excellent concentration and know intuitively about people, who I can trust, etc. Having an Aquarius moon helps me stay calm. All the Mercury Scorps I know have soothing voices, including myself. People tell me all the time. I have: Sag Sun, 1st house Sag Asc Aqua Moon, 2nd house Sag Mars 12th house Sag Jupiter, 1st house A lot of energy! Almost too much sometimes. IP: Logged |

This is very interesting. I've observed him being concise (Aries) when talking, that's why I approached him in a similar way, trying to hide my interest in him (well, I'm Scorpio, Capricorn rising, I need my masks ). Usually I'm very good at it, I can hide almost everything. But he did what you described, he stopped in the middle of a sentence (more than once) staring at me with an expression I cannot describe. I then realised he might be sensing what I was feeling. I too feel the non verbal messages in a conversation, and more often that not I listen to them more than to the spoken words, but I've never ever experienced it from a fast talking/walking rather rough guy. It's very, very .... well, I don't know... Though our mercuries are trined by element, they don't aspect each other. Never mind, the conversation between a Pisces and a Scorpio mercury reminds me sometimes of the line "you say it best when you say nothing at all". I started to not listen to exactly what he says, but to feel it (if that makes any sense). I'm sorry, it's only my 3rd post, and I'm already rambling. Must be my Gemini moon

Bingo. You'll get so much further by using your emotions to sense what he's saying. You could honestly talk about something as trivial as corn or beets (they're SO gross) but be thinking I want to go to the movies tonight and he'd probably suggest that you do something together that weekend. Emotions are what pop his cork and get those "wheels a-turnin'." You do that and you're good to go. : )
