When a psychological thriller is well thought through, I tend to like it too, but lately most under that genre have become too mainstream...

What I like least is easier: rom coms. I detest them, they are way too sappy and unrealistic. I also don't like movies where thinking is unnecessary. And dramas. I've enough drama in my life, I sure as hell don't need to watch someone else's.

Scorpio sun, Gemini moon.

I agree 100% with everything you just said except Boondock Saints made me want to die. Have you ever seen Drop Dead Gorgeous? Omg. It cracked me up.

i have alot of favorite films that range from many genres. i admire creativity and all of the same above things in all different mediums.

the first films that got me fascinated with films and stories were :

A nightmare on Elm Street

The Terminator/ Terminator 2 Judgement Day

and most of all ALIEN/ALIENS.

i grew into crime films too for drama entertainment.

the james cameron films above are still some of my very favorites today, the nightmare on elm street is just a childhood joy, as is crime films like scarface, but as iv grown up now and been exposed to more great films, i see them with more critical eyes
and ears since i can compare them to new great films iv seen.

Leo Sun
Aries Moon

today i love -

12 Angry Men
Fight Club
Psycho
Memento
Se7en
The Pianist
American History X
Blade Runner
Once upon a Time in the west
the good the bad and the ugly
Apocalypse Now
Cool Hand Luke
Into The Wild
Full Metal Jacket
Lock Stock & Two Smoking BArrels
Reservoir Dogs
Saving Private Ryan
The Silence of the Lambs
ALIEN
ALIENS
The Deer Hunter
The Usual Suspects
The Green Mile
Taxi Driver
The Terminator
Terminator 2: judgement day
Leon
The treasure of the sierra madre
the maltese falcon
The shawshank redemption
Up

i admire other films critically but not as favorite joys, e.g. the godfather part 1 for example.

Wow, Letram. You can definitely see the Leo Sun with your appreciation for well written, directed, and produced film. I share your opinions on most of these.

With that movie I couldn't even try to watch it...I was figiting with something the whole time and not even paying attention. (I'm a Gemini rising, heehee)

And I'm so sick of hearing about Twilight. I saw the first one, it was good. But Vampires that play baseball in thumderstorms? And sparkles in the sun?...That is just...whats the PC word I'm looking for?.....STUPID.

But I do like Titanic.(OMG Leonardo....is Perfect!) That is one of the rare movies that can make me cry. Because they show a dead baby in the ocean, thinking about it now I am getting tears. The thought of that makes me instantly teary.

LMAO!

I got dragged to see it. Seen the other two as well... Against my will hahaha.

Yea I could sit though Twilight and pay attention at the theaters.(my friend dragged me too it too,the same friend that drags me to harry potter movies) Kellen Luts is hot. To me its one of those movies that once is enough. And I think I would go crazy if I had to sit through ever again.

Does any else think the Little Red Ridding Hood movie looks stupid too, and they are trying to make it like the next Twilight

I love trashy movies. Twilight is one of them. So bad but sooooo good. I hate most "art house" flicks. Too boring for me. Love teen comedies, scifi, and action. Love end of the world movies. Not really a fan of horror, especially gore. I like zombies and vampires though (because those arent usually straight horror).

Fav movies are Clueless, Alien(s), Jawbreaker, Batman Returns, Armageddon, American Psycho (I think this movie is hilarious).

And if I do sit though Twilight again I would probably make fun of it.

I did a few months ago with Phantom of the Opera. When my Scorp Sun and Sag Moon friend wanted to watch it.
In the "Phantom of the Opera" song when the Phantom of the Opera starts saying stuff like "sing for me Cristine! SING for the Angel of music!" I started going "Sing b!tch! SING!" My friend got a kick out of it too.

Phantom of the Opera was way too cheesy for me. I got a lot of second hand embarrassment watching that movie.

Love that musical. I turn the volume down when they start to sing high, or when a scream is heard. Classic.

I like romance because it's hard to make them individual, unlike the cr@p that hollywood churns out in a very formulaic way.

See, I'm sure I would like the musical, but musicals require a different kind of acting style that doesn't translate well into movies (unless you have a skilled director). Musicals require things to be over the top, and almost slapstick. If it's a romance, slapstick doesn't work (at least in movies, on stage it's great). Like, Rent the MOVIE was terrible. Chicago the movie was amazing because they made the outrageous elements into an imagination sequence (like all the singing was all in Roxie's head).

Hm... I really liked Ponyo, the story too. It was a bit more out there, but I thought it was really sweet and refreshing. Again there were the themes about loving nature and love and a strong female character.

My favorite was a tie between Sleeping Beauty and Beauty and the Beast. Malificent definitely got the gold for baddest Disney villainess. I mean, look at her.

That's one BAD BEEZIE!!

I like Romantic Comedies ,Pelican Brief, CSI type movies.I like law movies.

Inspiring movies like
Pursuit of Hapyness
Forrest Grump
-------------------------------------------

I went through a phrase I liked Sci-fi movies but not obsessively.

I can watch mostly everything but I dislike or would be the least likely would be horror because either they are too funny or to scary.
