Capricorn Sun, Virgo Moon, Gemini RisingProbably art house movies, but I enjoy some comedy in there. My view is similar to Letram's below. I like pretty much everything. The better written and performed, the better. I don't have any issue with romantic comedies, or regular comedies. I will admit that lately they do seem formulaic, but that won't always be the case. Looking forward to HANNA this weekend. Horror is uninteresting to me, because I don't believe it's premise. I remain too detached during most horror movies. Thrillers are far more riveting to me. I enjoy horror, psychogical thrillers and comedy. I like a lot of lifetime movies too.I hate chick flicks! The ones that are supose to be funny! But they arn't! Yes leagally blonde was a good movie...but it's always on TV and to me not worth watching over and over, now I hate it. And other movies like that...like house bunny. Anna Farris is so funny, but that movie was stupid....(when a chick flick is on I'm thinking about the plot and charactors and how I don't give a sh!t about any of it and how un amused I am. lol)Sorry I'm just not into chick flick comedy humor I guess. I know guys that like chick flicks more than I do. Even though I'm a girl...I guess I like more raunchy humorus movies. Aries Sun Scorpio Moon

Hmmm... That's a hard one for me, actually. I like certain cult movies like Shaun Of The Dead or Boondock Saints, but I certainly don't like all cult movies. I like parodies too, but only few. SOTD is both a cult movie and a parody, and the same makers made another movie that applies to both genres which I love too, but I can't say they're my favourite genres. When a psychological thriller is well thought through, I tend to like it too, but lately most under that genre have become too mainstream... What I like least is easier: rom coms. I detest them, they are way too sappy and unrealistic. I also don't like movies where thinking is unnecessary. And dramas. I've enough drama in my life, I sure as hell don't need to watch someone else's. Scorpio sun, Gemini moon.

Initially, as a child, it was Horror and Action. then Quickly Sci-fi. i never was a fan of things like Commedy, though i did really like some Commedy Films, sporadically.as iv grown into films more passioantely, i'v learned that i don't necessarily have a favorite genre, i have a high admiration and joy for well written scripts in films, with unique and fascinating events or dramatic plot twists and turns, great acting, and just pure film greatness. i have alot of favorite films that range from many genres. i admire creativity and all of the same above things in all different mediums. the first films that got me fascinated with films and stories were : A nightmare on Elm Street The Terminator/ Terminator 2 Judgement Day and most of all ALIEN/ALIENS. i grew into crime films too for drama entertainment. the james cameron films above are still some of my very favorites today, the nightmare on elm street is just a childhood joy, as is crime films like scarface, but as iv grown up now and been exposed to more great films, i see them with more critical eyes and ears since i can compare them to new great films iv seen. Leo Sun Aries Moon today i love - 12 Angry Men Fight Club Psycho Memento Se7en The Pianist American History X Blade Runner Once upon a Time in the west the good the bad and the ugly Apocalypse Now Cool Hand Luke Into The Wild Full Metal Jacket Lock Stock & Two Smoking BArrels Reservoir Dogs Saving Private Ryan The Silence of the Lambs ALIEN ALIENS The Deer Hunter The Usual Suspects The Green Mile Taxi Driver The Terminator Terminator 2: judgement day Leon The treasure of the sierra madre the maltese falcon The shawshank redemption Up i admire other films critically but not as favorite joys, e.g. the godfather part 1 for example. Mega movie rec list!!!!!!!!! Gemini Sun (1H) Sag Moon (7H) Gemini Venus (2H)Some of these are a little mainstream, but some are just way out there. Hehe Korean: (all have subtitles online) Hello, Schoolgirl - 18 year old girl meets 30 year old man. haha 19 is the age of adulthood in Korea. Sweet. Eraser in my Head - rich girl with sordid past falls in love with a construction worker. WARNING: tears. many tears. 3-Iron - like maybe two lines of dialogue in the whole thing. lol Weird, but amazing if you can sit through it. The Classic - sweet love story during Vietnam. a few tears. The Chaser - If you love horror, you MUST see this. I NEVER get scared, this freaked the **** out of me and it's based on a REAL story in Korea. Just plain crazy. Some prostitutes go missing and her pimp chases them down (not what you think). WARNING: violence, terror, etc. Major. Chinese: Everything by War Kai Wong - melancholy, passionate, sensual, longing, beautiful. The Road Home - the best love story EVER! Seriously. Farewell, My Concubine - so I'm like half or more than that in love with Leslie Cheung. This is melodramatic - but in a way that mirrors the opera that it's about. The melodrama has a purpose. This is one of my favorite movies ever because it's so complex and intense. Very Pluto-ish in my opinion. With a dash of Neptune! Backdrop against the Chinese nationalist and communist war and the Cultural Revolution. WARNING: a scene of molestation between a 100 year old looking dude and like a 10 year, but very brief. Don't let this turn you off. Also "homosexual" sex scenes. Again, if you watch it, it's not quite what it seems. Japanese: Hayao Miyazaki's: Howl's Moving Castle Spirited Away Princess Mononoke these speak for themselves, I think. Other: Departures - guy who buries dead people. Family relationships, etc. Good! Kikujiro - a little boy and an old man go to find mommy, very sweet! Nobody Knows - true story about a family abandoned by the mom when she remarries. WARNING: tears. lots. British (or British/English/etc): Moulin Rouge - yeah, I'm sure you know it. Love Actually - Fun! A Single Man - A man contemplates suicide over a period of a day. Pride and Prejudice - Come on, what girl doesn't love this story? Emma - Again. The Boy in the Stripped Pajamas - Shows how sick some people can be. And also how lovely they can be. WARNING: tears. Misc. Foreign Paradise Now - story about Palestinian suicide bombers. Good, intense. Pan's Labyrinth - Childhood and innocence put to the test. I love this movie. Makes me cry every time I see it, and also makes me smile. American: Letters from Iwo Jima - Shows a different side of the war. Blood Diamond - About trafficking of diamonds and family. Up in the Air - just beautiful in a subtle way. Empire of the Sun - Kind of a movie about growing up. So yeah, those are probably my favorites!!! It's kind of hard to put most of these in a genre.

Ah yes, thanks for reminding me I find many romance movies to be borring. Like the Notebook...BORING! My cousin on the other hand...LOVES IT! (shes a Taurus Sun, and Leo Moon) Even reads the book. With that movie I couldn't even try to watch it...I was figiting with something the whole time and not even paying attention. (I'm a Gemini rising, heehee) And I'm so sick of hearing about Twilight. I saw the first one, it was good. But Vampires that play baseball in thumderstorms? And sparkles in the sun?...That is just...whats the PC word I'm looking for?.....STUPID. But I do like Titanic.(OMG Leonardo....is Perfect!) That is one of the rare movies that can make me cry. Because they show a dead baby in the ocean, thinking about it now I am getting tears. The thought of that makes me instantly teary. IP: Logged |

My faves are Horror, and Comedy. I go straight from a horror flick to a comedy one, or vise versa. Sometimes I enjoy the two mixed together, like that movie Zombieland.Sun Sag Moon Leo ------------------ "There's nothing like deep breaths after laughing that hard. I like thrillers, mostly psychological movies that don't use gore to tell a story. I'm more into the unknown side of it, less is more. Where the more you think about the story, the more you get scared. Those movies where you finish watching and it stays with you for weeks.Arthouse films, indie films, films with good cinematography and direction. Brilliant use of angles and tones, but of course an intelligent plot has to be present. I DO like comedies, but I'd pick a good thriller over it anyday. I'm an Aries Rising Virgo sun Libra moon, venus and mercury Pluto in eighth house (scorpy)
I've seen a single man and Tom Ford is absolutely talented as heck! First time directing and he brought forth such depth. Just love it. Donnie Darko was a great film. Gotta watch it a few times to really understand it well. Momento. Lovess. IP: Logged |

Stawr you thought twilight was good? The first one made me want to shoot myself in the head. I was laughing through the film... Not cos it was funny. I laughed due to the absolute awkwardness of the acting. The plot was horrible, the dialogue made me go -_-" *face palm* lol. The book was .... Urgh. I got dragged to see it. Seen the other two as well... Against my will hahaha.
