Are there any aspects of a chart which will make one prone to drug abuse?I will admit I smoked weed for far too long but quit it for good (hopefully!) 2 months ago. IP: Logged |

'My House XII in Capricorn Disappointments are difficult to digest, the bitterness can last a long time before he is able to react positively.' This is very true for me,I think its why I would smoke my way to forget disappointments and let downs.. 'House XI in Sagittarius Loves above all travel, adventure and friends are often from abroad.' I don't see how this relates to my question yet? though my last ex was from Germany.. To be shown in the future to me maybe? IP: Logged |

Addiction can be seen by a Water Moon, especially in Pisces or in the 12th house or in hard aspect to Neptune.remember anything can be modified so if you have a water moon and you don't have an addictive personality consider your Moon to be MODIFIED. out knowflakes IP: Logged |

I've seen it in Pisces definitely. Mars an addict. And I think Venus in Pisces just enjoys it too much. Its a very Neptune/Pisces thing. I know a moon pisces who at one time became addicted to pain killers, but she stopped it, I wouldn't call her an addict, just easily susceptible.IP: Logged |

I'd say aspects to Neptune, you can go look over the charts of well known addicts and Neptune is always the planet that stands out. Liz Greene does a huge section in her book Neptune and the quest for redemption.IP: Logged |

Charts are always good.Betty Ford, "American First Lady when her husband, Gerald Ford, was sworn in as the nation's 38th president, minutes after Richard Nixon resigned, 8/09/1974. She later became known for her own courage in facing illness and substance abuse and overcoming her obstacles to found the Betty Ford Rehab Center." Billie Holiday, "Her addiction to heroin made travesty of her last few years; the endless, hopeless battle with drugs hurt her voice and health. She made two more appearances in Europe but, in May 1959, she collapsed. She was sent to a hospital but, unable to give up heroin, she was arrested for drugs literally while on her death bed." Betty Ford has Neptune in the 11th.What do you mean by that? She made a larger understanding of it cuz it is in Aqua's house-the 11th house?------------------ Life is lived in the sand box. He who controls his Spirit is greater than he who controls a city Proverbs IP: Logged |

Richard Pryor, "Progressing heavily into booze and drugs, while free-basing cocaine he set himself on fire and was badly burned over 50% of his body in 1980. After recovery, he toned down both his act and his incendiary personal life." Charlie Sheen, "Complaining of tingling sensations and difficulty with walking, Sheen was transported to Los Robles Medical Center 5/20/1998 at 5:30 AM. Hospital spokespeople declared Sheen never in the danger zone and Martin Sheen admitted that Charlie had suffered a drug overdose. After checking into Malibu's Promises rehab center, Sheen was calling for a limo and leaving in his pajamas. So far Sheen has been unable to successfully see a detox program through to any kind of recovery." IP: Logged |

Off the top of my head - Janis Joplin, Amy Winehouse, Tony Kiedis, Liz Taylor and Richard Burton, all had strong Neptune. IP: Logged |

Isn't that FUNNY that Richard Pryor has an Air Void when he was so clever with words ? How would that fit,I wonder. I never would expect an Air Void in a comedian.------------------ Life is lived in the sand box. He who controls his Spirit is greater than he who controls a city Proverbs IP: Logged |

Janis Joplin, "Joplin's drug-of-choice was heroin to keep herself going on her self-imposed rigid schedule. She was one of the first women to break into the exclusive boys' club of rock'n'roll, rising from a pimply wallflower to a beloved emblem of hippie rebellion." Elizabeth Taylor had a problem with alcohol, but with hard drugs also? or are we using both interchangeably? Richard Burton no tob, same with Amy and Anthony from Astrodatabank. Well weed isn't a hard drug. But I think the OP meant drug abuse in general..But I personally wouldn't include weed, but some people do use it in an addict form, with alcohol. Neptune's blurring the lines here, lol.IP: Logged |

Billie Holiday has Neptune 6th as well tho I just pulled charts at random after looking at a list of drug addict celebs plus what d_mystic added. Charts posted are A or AA rating according to Astrodatabank.Betty Ford: -Pisces Moon Angular -Pisces Moon in the 6th hard aspect Mars -Pisces Moon in the 6th hard aspect Jupiter -Neptune square Mercury I like that her unaspected Sun in the 8th of personal transformation rules her h12 house of self undoing. To me this points in part to her attempt at recovery and to give others strength, that's where we see that she shined. Billie Holiday: -Pisces Mercury -Pisces Venus -Pisces Mars -Pisces Jupiter -Neptune opposed Moon -12th house Moon -Neptune Angular -Neptune in the 6th -6th house ruler of health and habits in the 12th opposed Neptune in the 6th -12th house ruler of self undoing in the 5th house of pleasure/creativity squaring Mars conj Mercury in Pisces which are placed in the 2nd house of self worth There are prob other factors in the chart that reflect her addiction, but I'm overwhelmed here with all the correspondences. Richard Pryor: -Pisces Asc -Neptune Angular -h12 ruler of self undoing in the 2nd house of self worth opposed Mercury that rules his houses of mental thoughts, home life, and partnerships. Mercury is also secondary ruler of his 6th house. Not that many indicators here, as opposed to Billie Holiday for example, and he apparently did reform himself. Uranus is the h12 ruler and his bio stated that an accident while on drugs prompted his choice to change. Or if he set himself on fire on purpose, I dunno, it still sounds Uranian to me. Prometheus is the fire bringer in Greek mythology apparently. The Mercury/Uranus aspect is Promethean. Charlie Sheen: -Pisces Saturn -Pisces Saturn opposed Sun/Uranus/Pluto -Neptune in the 6th -Neptune in the 6th square Mercury -h12 ruler of self undoing conjunct Neptune in the 6th Honestly I can't make heads or tails of Sheen's current situation, where he's at in the process, or if he acknowledged his addiction ever, all I know is that he's had problems with drug addiction. Janis Joplin: -Pisces intercepted in the 1st -12th house Sun -12th house Mercury -12th house Venus -Neptune square Moon -Neptune squares h6 ruler (the Moon) -Neptune square Mars -Saturn, h12 ruler of self undoing, is angular and involved in a grand trine; in her bio it stated that she used drugs "to keep herself going on her self-imposed rigid schedule." As Saturn is conj Ic, I would guess her self imposed limitations via scheduling were something that she was used to as a result of her childhood, but I don't know her story. IP: Logged |

So far it's basically mingling between h6/h12 and Neptune Pisces that reflects something chronic, and more than 2 casual factors, so it seems to play into the Rule of 3. Also angularity relating to the 12th, Pisces, or Neptune. Sheen's chart doesn't have a direct connection to angularity, however, he also doesn't have the talent. He has indirect connections: -MC ruler opposed Saturn in Pisces -ASC ruler square Neptune -IC ruler opposed Saturn in Pisces I'll argue that Betty Ford's talent can be seen in the Pisces Moon conj Dsc, offering salvation to others by way of a treatment center. "Her experience in rehab prompted her to spread the healing process to others and by 1981 she and several colleagues raised three million dollars to build a rehab clinic of their own, naming it the Betty Ford Center." She credits her family for the intervention, "My family saved my life," she later said appreciatively." Coffee pointed to the h11 ruler, and hers is that Angular Moon in Pisces, which rules her 11th house with Cancer on its cusp. IP: Logged |

Me and my older brother both have a Moon/Neptune quincunx and he's been doing drugs since grade school (started with weed, but as the years gone by, a little of everything). For me, I have experimented with marijuana in high school, but it wasn't much of an experiment since I can still count how many times I've smoked on both hands . Anyway, ruler of my 12th is Mercury. Mercury rx makes easy aspects to other planets, only hard aspect is a conjunct to Saturn, which I think is the reason why I don't like drugs to mess with my reality. My brother on the other hand, his 12th house ruler is Jupiter rx, and it's making a conjunction to Neptune rx. Both happen to be hanging out in his 12th.Edit: For research purposes, his natal ------------------ "There's nothing like deep breaths after laughing that hard.
