I have a lot of those listed and I actually prefer it this way as it's a v.good screening tool. But if you asked me when I was younger I would've moaned and groaned about it. The story of my life is that I don't realize what I have that's good until yrs later, so that is called tunnel vision I believe. Prob if I had someone around to smack me that would be a good thing. If you really want to look at what "causes" a late bloomer then you have to look at mercuryChoosing to not have sex is a mind thing because it's a decision. All saturn will do is insist on having the appropriate boundaries in place it's not going to stop you from having it. Saturn may even imply that one has no choice but to engage in sex in a serious way. So it may be present in the charts of those who don't sleep around too much. As far as I'm concerned oral is no different to full sex. One other factor I've thought about this morning is ceres...pluto abducted her daughter with the help of venus/aphrodite so it's possible a dodgy ceres could be at the root of delayed sexual involvement. The girl I knew who was still a virgin until marriage was a hindu. But whatever the circumstances...it's a thought/belief process. At least 2 people have mentioned being asexual...that is another clue that it may be linked to mercury. IP: Logged |

Sorry, Mercury doesn't relate to this. Rules the thinking process in a very generalized sense. It's your mind, after all, how you communicate, the systems you create to be organized, study habits, etc. People definitely make decisions without involving their Mercury in the slightest.IP: Logged |

And I hope we're not confusing being asexual with being a late bloomer. Waiting until marriage also wouldn't qualify.IP: Logged |

Ditto on Mars opp Saturn. I have it and I was a late bloomer too. But I have plenty of other clues for that. The Virgin on the 8th house cusp, with it's ruler Mercury also in opposition to Saturn. Cap Asc. Saturn square Asc (very shy). I just ended a 5 year period of abstinence. Amen. I also have a few clues that make me highly sexed, like Lust conj Sun or Aries Mars opposite Pluto. Let's just say I'm cautious, I don't sleep around, but when I do decide to go for it, it's worth it. IP: Logged |

Lonake - Mercury rules the thinking process...not in a very generalized sense but in every sense. The only decisions made without Mercury are related to instinct and certainly not to a decision to not start dating or whatever. You said you don't relate it to the onset of sexual feeling either...which doesn't make sense to me because if you're feeling horny and not doing anything about it then you are quite obviously choosing (with mercury) to stay abstinent. You said in an earlier post that oral didn't count so you'd consider someone that gave oral up to the age of 30 before having it fully a late bloomer? Oh come on! The main reason for saturn's involvement is like to be pressure from society...and the structures one is born into. Saturn rules Capricorn...it's all earth orientated and directly linked to the physical i.e the body.

I wanted to add, in Saturn's defence, that its transit through my 8th house raised my awereness about my own and other's sexuality. Up until then I considered myself a bit asexual, too, but this transit made me realize it was because of my own inhibitions and self-consciousness. I thought this transit would only continue my abstinent period that started a few years before, but it actually put an end to it. Weird, huh? I learned a lot about intimacy and being really vulnerable in front of somebody without trying to fake it into something it wasn't. Saturn, when you work with his energy, can be your ally. I can relate to that somewhat, although Saturn is going through my 6th currently (and has for a while, it's a huge house under Placidus, closing in Libra) the positive changes to my body awareness due to regular physical activity has also changed how I experience sex.IP: Logged |

Maybe, after we do your chart, you can see more of your strengths. I know that this REALLY helped me. I see that I DO have special gifts unique to me. I also have venus conjunct saturn. Never technically been asked out either. Don't get guys coming up to me. Maybe the saturn could be what prevents it in a different way. A cold or intimating feel.IP: Logged |

I find the term "balls" and the use of its phrase ironic. Clearly testicles has nothing to do with "having balls"

Yeah no kidding! Its like the fear of rejection is just too unbearable... But us girls have to deal with it all the time. But if you wanna talk late bloomer, I am your poster child. I was awkward all through my teens, never had a single male interest, in fact I even questioned my sexuality. But the thing about Saturn, is once you get past those saturnian obstacles you go to the opposite extreme.
