How about loving someone you've never met like a celebrity?I absolutely do! Almost every crush I've had, I had sun conjunct or opposite venus in the composite with. This aspect, as everyone knows, means true love. In the few instances I did crush on someone and didnt have sun conjunct or opp venus with, we sometimes had sun conjunct jupiter in the composite or moon conjunct or trine venus in the composite (which indictes a deep feeling of love) and when we didn't, an astrologer told me we simply were really fond of each other. In every case, the guys were very caring towards me. Even if they didn't like me back, they were my friends. Especially caring were those i had sun conjunct or opp venus with even though they didnt like me back in that way. These guys would just shower me with love. Sometimes they'd even call me sweetie or honey. We'd become fast friends, and after three days of talking it was already easy to share personal things with each other even though we were just friends. I've experienced this with females just the same. Sometimes you meet someone and you just instantly like them in this very special way where they shower you with love, right? Whether male or female. That's why I believe in love at first sight. Every guy I liked I grew close friends with, and I instantly knew there was something special between us. By the way, every celebrity I've crushed on I had sun conjunct venus with as well! So I alao believe you can love someone without ever meeting them. IP: Logged |

For me.... I cannot really get attracted at first sight. Like I can feel a connection with someone, but there's got to be this mental connection. Like when we converse, if it kind of makes us both sparkle and have fun and enjoy each other - that makes me melt so easily. I just gotta have that. I'd rather be with a physically unattractive guy who had that that a hot one without it. Which is why I usually don't stick around with hot guys. They tend to think that as long as they are hot nothing else matters. But to me... it really does. IP: Logged |

Let's look at two people who fall in love. At some point they will have met, no doubt feeling a similar attraction or 'love' for each other as they do now. So, I guess it's possible to catch the wave of love that is about to happen and feel it instantly.On the other hand, lust can be mixed for the feeling of love. Do I believe? Uh... wouldn't say that, I think it creates feelings of affection other "love" like emotions. I do not think any 1 aspect in itself indicates "true love." Like, I have it in Composite with one of my good friends. It's definitely not LOVE~* in the romantic sense, but we are very affectionate. Same with one of my roommates (and with my roommate I also have Sun conjunct Moon and Venus conjunct Mars in synastry). Anyway, in answer to your question: I fall hard and fast immediately at first sight. I make up my mind very quickly. I have Venus square Uranus, which is a "love at first sight" aspect. The time I felt it happen the strongest was with a dude who I have ASC conjunct Vertex DW with. IP: Logged |

I don't know? In my life I have seen certain girls and I have had a kind of insight about them..that at some point we will get together and it has Always proven correct.. For example: & this was like 20+ years ago.. I was leaving my friends house one night and I met the eyes of one of his neighbours daughters as I went past on my motorcycle and 'BOOM' I got that knowing feeling from her eyes...within 2 weeks we were together.. Its strange, like some kind of perceptive/psychic ability I have! I feel that's the closest I've come to love at first sight (& its perhaps the same thing?) IP: Logged |

I have noticed with 2 male friends who I have Sun opp Venus with - they are very caring towards me. Think it is a great aspect but wouldn't say it spells 'true love' necessarily.Personally, I have never experienced 'Love at first sight'. I totally agree with Coffee: Quote Coffee

So true. I have alot of libra planets and I NEED the mental 'click' Hot guys that lack in brains and direction are such a big turn off.
I'd go for the below average guy with all those wonderful traits. I love intellectual guys. Like all that conversation is so stimulating haha.

How does thing apply? 
I feel that love is too deep to be at first sight. You can feel a deep connection fast, but that is very different.
BUT! I suppose depending on your beliefs if you are some type of deep soul connection it could be like a soul love and you have reconnected in this life.IP: Logged |

Do I believe in true love at first sight? Not exactly. I believe in being able to tell someone is important or special in someway by looking in their eyes, it's kind of a flickering moment... but I don't call that love.IP: Logged |

Well, for me I believe in reincarnation. So from my point of view when you meet someone and instantly have the feeling of recognition and love, it’s because you do already know them from a past life, and it’s not just some random thing that just happens. So, in short, I don’t believe in love at first sight. I believe in recognizing loved ones form the past, even if it’s the first time we have seen that person in this life. The relationship already existed before you laid eyes one each other and was just waiting to be ‘activated’ when you ‘met’ again. Also, I strongly suspect that synastry involved in such relationships is indicative of the karma that you share together from that past relationship… So if Venus is strong in this synastry it may indicate that the relationship was very affectionate and loving. Another thing is that I think love at first sight is different from lust at first sight. With love at first sight there is that feeling of recognition… like you feel as if you know the person already… this type of experience is totally different from just simply noticing how hot you think someone looks.

Also the celebrity thing is a bit iffy… I mean over time you can sometimes build up an obsession with someone’s images and convince yourself that you ‘know’ them, when really you don’t. Just because you instantly noticed that celebrity Mr. X is your physical type, very attractive, and maybe later on he displays some personality characteristics that you like, it doesn’t mean that the two of you are meant to have a special connection or anything… although sometimes people can convince themselves of this especially if they know the persons birth chart and find certain aspects there in synastry (which may explain your crush on him even though he doesn’t know you exist). The same thing goes for obsessions that occur with other people that you know in person…

The part that happens at first sight is more about a feeling of recognition… like ‘hey I know you, and I think we’re going to love each other…’. It’s a flash of intuition.

I dont believe in love at first sight...
That's lust, attraction, desire to meet.. But not love.. How can you love someone that you no nothing about... Love takes a long time to truly develop..

And to emphasize Lioness' point, physical attraction and love are completely two different things. Something which often gets confused in this superficial world, where only looks are important... I honestly never just go by looks, but instead personality and how comfortable I feel with a certain person, basically common mutuality. Wow... though Today I stopped at the corner store on the way to the park with my son... I was in line, and in walks the most handsome, gorgeous,hunk of a man Ive ever seen. I just saw cupid fly by! ( or what ever you want to call it...lol) He goes to the drink section I turn back and stare at him.. He looks at me, he has no reaction... Hummmmmm .. Here's the worst thing I look awful, hardly any makeup, hair half way brushed, t-shirt and jeans.. I look like I just woke up.. lol So Im thinking I just have to meet him, how can I meet him with the way I look PLUS not let my son see me meeting him... omg omg omg what do I do... lol When I leave the store I turn back and look at him.. He looks at me.. I go to my car, when he comes out he sees me in my car, he walks past my car and he smiles at me..
Then BAM! I show him my business card. I have it help up, he kinda back tracks one step (after seeing the card) and takes it from my hand and says "Thank You" and keeps walking... WOOOO WOOOO... I wonder if he will call... Only DAM the card only has my work number... lol God I hope he doesnt have any Pisces in him..
