Grown up with Western Astrology, loved it, and when they stumbled upon Vedic/Jyotish astrology, simply could not go back?Well,t hat describes me. It it challenging for sure identifying myself with one thing for so long, and having logic force me to change to something else. I am just curious. Matty - the ex-Virgo.

Is that because you don't understand the ways in which you were taught traditional astrology?Gimme a break here, I'm busy explaining the negative effects of Magi astrology, not only to dismiss vedic out of hand. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if I look at the western way and the vedic, the Sun and Moon can be in different places? Is this correct? IP: Logged |

You got it. Try this. Go here: http://www.solarsystemscope.com/ Type in your birth info, and look behind the sun. What sign do you get? That is what got me 10 years ago in theory, and this last time about a month ago, thanks to the website above in practice. I simply can not say my sun is in the sign of Virgo when Leo is behind it. And 10,000 years from now it will be Pisces. I am just trying to rectify it. It is ok, I will get there. Not to upset about being a Libra however.

I have been in your place. Been to the 'I don't get this way I have been taught astrology' support groups. I've taken some pills, and it just didn't wash with me. So, I decided to take a new route. One that involved using my brain and not allowing these toxic astrologers the freedom of messing my brain with up more astrology filth that is passed down through the mind numbing zombies, who feel free to part with their cash in order to praise the ones who claim they are not just doing it for the money. They are! Here is a starter... http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum24/HTML/208263.html I work on a house ruled astrology, as opposed to a planet ruled astrology. Just a different perspective is needed. Did you mean the Sun and Moon are at different degrees too? Maybe IQ can chime in on this. The reason I ask... I know it's a full moon when the Sun and Moon are in exact opposition in the sky, by looking at the western way of doing things. If the vedic way is different, then this would not be an accurate way of measuring a full moon. Can you confirm this please? I haven't been arsed looking this whole time. got your (western) natal chart please? IP: Logged |

Here you are Coffee: http://bit.ly/kk9Zil That is my Western Chart. http://bit.ly/jwC2UN That is my Vedic Chart The only change I observe is a change in the Zodiac placement of the planets. The aspects are of course all the same. It would really stink if I had to change my birthday by 23 degrees too. Kidding. Well, anyway most of what you wrote I didn't follow. I am going to check out your link now. Thanks for sharing it. If those links don't work let me know. -Matt IP: Logged | |
