Eclipses of June and July 2011
June and July 2011 Eclipses

"We have a very unusual pattern of three eclipses in a row this summer; a Solar Eclipse on June 1, a Lunar Eclipse on Jun 15 followed by another Solar Eclipse on July 1.

A chart chat on these three eclipses will be held on May 12 at 7 PM in Silver Spring, MD. See Monthly Chart Chats under pages on this blog.

I was told by an astrologer that the effects of a Solar Eclipse can come in exactly one month before it appears. I have been checking out this theory and it seems to work. May 1 was one month before the Jun 1 eclipse, and I had a significant and positive day that day. The Jun 1 eclipse will be on my Sun in my natal chart. Also, on May 1st. Osama Bin Laden was assassinated. The ancients believed that during an eclipse, the "mighty will fall". The Wall Street Journal gave out a birth date for him of Mar 10, 1957, but I am not going to analyze that date until I get some confirmation that it is correct. But if that date is correct, he would have the Jun 1 aspect squaring his Venus and Mercury placements in Pisces. I am sure he is a Pisces or Pisces rising because of those luminous Pisces eyes. I will write more about Osama in my next newsletter.

Eclipses appear often in the mythology of different cultures most often as symbols of obliteration, fear, and the overthrow of the natural order of things. Eclipses were the great omens of fated, large-scale events. The word eclipse comes from a Greek word meaning "abandonment." Quite literally, an eclipse was seen as the Sun abandoning the earth.

Every six months, eclipses show the turning points in our lives. They indicate what we are to accomplish for the following year to 3 years. They bring in news and events that are sometimes "out of the blue". Time seems to speed up. In a positive sense, eclipses can clear what may obscure the way forward. Remember that the key words for eclipses are emphasis and crisis. Eclipses are contrary to the status quo. If impacted by one of these eclipses, your life will not run on the same track it has been on. But that can be a good thing.

To figure out whether or not an eclipse will be positive or challenging, we look at the aspects that the eclipse is making to other planets in the sky, and also to the planets they are aspecting in your natal chart.

The June 1 partial Solar Eclipse is located at 11 degree of Gemini and is the second in a long series of Gemini eclipses that ends in May 2013. A partial solar eclipse occurs when the moon’s shadow passes very close to the earth, but is not total. The sign of Gemini rules writing, teaching, lectures the media and all forms of communications. We may see the death of a renowned writer or professor. There will be more news about who owns information

The eclipse of the Sun has been traditionally viewed with dread over the ages, as the Sun seems to disappear from the sky. It gets dark in the middle of the day and it seems as if something dreadful is about to happen. Solar Eclipses tend to relate to sudden events that disrupt our day to day functioning; they are the crisis that seems to come out of nowhere and that suddenly demand all of our conscious attention and focus. They tend to stir things up on a physical and conscious level much more than Lunar Eclipses.

This eclipse is in a trine to Saturn which means this should be a positive eclipse with themes of Saturn/ This can be a positive time for dealing with elders. We can start a project that requires discipline and patience and will improve out value and prestige for a long time to come especially if you have personal planets (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus or Mars) or the ascendant at 11 degrees of Gemini.

The Jun 15 Lunar Eclipse is at 24 Sagittarius/Gemini and it is said to be one of the darkest eclipses in history and will last 100 minutes. Gemini rules information and Sagittarius rules foreign countries, the law and higher education. This eclipse could bring in news about how we communicate with foreign countries and what laws we have to put in place to protect information.

Lunar Eclipses can bring up old memories and feelings. As a full Moon, a Lunar Eclipse tends to bring completion or endings. On a Lunar Eclipse something will end and on a Solar Eclipse something will begin. A Lunar Eclipse is an opportunity to break habits or eliminate socially conditioned patterns of thought and behavior that stand in way of self realization. .

The Lunar Eclipse gives us opportunities to break out of our current cycles and move on to a different level. A Lunar Eclipse can make us more aware of our cycles and patterns, and our unconscious motivations.

Full moon eclipses can bring things to completion that you have been working on. You can finally make decisions about issues that you have been thinking about. The Sun opposite the Moon, lights up the Moon and brings previously unexamined areas of your life into awareness. A Lunar Eclipse can be felt as early as 2 weeks prior to the Eclipse itself and can last up to 6 months to a year.

This Jun 15 eclipse can be more of a problem than the Jun 1 eclipse because it is in an opposition to Mercury. This can cause misunderstandings, disputes and problems in communications in general. Not good for long-range plans or ideas that require detailed working out. Lunar Eclipses are more emotional than Solar Eclipses. Because a Lunar Eclipse only happens on a full moon, two houses in your natal chart will be affected.

The July 1 Partial Solar Eclipse takes place at 9 Cancer. This brings in the theme of home and family and is in a square to Saturn and opposite Pluto. You could be dealing with heavy responsibilities and maybe a coercive situation at home. You may notice the effect of this eclipse 1 month before it occurs. Make note of what comes in. It may be a surprise and may take 4 to 5 months to integrate the information.

If one of your personal planets is being “hit” by a Solar Eclipse, look back to see what happened 19 years ago. The eclipses repeat at the same degree of the zodiac every 19 years. A Solar Eclipse can bring an ending in the direction in our life and open a door to another. Remember, New Moon/Solar Eclipses are always very powerful times to meditate.

Send out your intention of what you want to manifest over the next six months. A Solar Eclipse always occurs during a New Moon and New Moons are important because they bring in new, fresh energy.

An eclipse tends to emphasize matters related to the house it falls in on your natal chart or what planets it conjuncts, or opposes. The areas ruled by the houses or planets will demand more attention, thought, energy, and time from you, at least until the next Eclipse. Eclipses open doors and invite us to come in, illuminating and stimulating areas of our lives that need our attention.

Look for the houses in your chart that contains 11 degrees of Gemini for the impact of the Solar Eclipse of June 1, look for the house containing 24 degrees of Gemini and Sagittarius for the impact of the Lunar Eclipse of Jun 15 and the house that contains 9 degrees of Cancer for the impact of the Solar Eclipse of Jul 1. A brief list of items covered by the different houses in your birth chart is under pages on this blog.

Look for a planet(s) in your natal chart located at 11 degrees of Gemini for the Solar Eclipse impact of Jun 1, a planet(s) at 24 degrees of Gemini and/or Sagittarius for the Lunar Eclipse impact of of Jun 15 and a planet(s) at 9 degrees of Cancer for the impact of the Solar Eclipse of July 1. A list of keywords for the planets are under pages of this blog.

Stay Loose and watch the news.

this one scares me a bit. some time during the first half of June, i am going to the immigration office for my visa renewal. and things went wrong and i do not have sufficient papers, and have to convince them that the troubles that prevented me is justified as the reason.

the Solar eclipse on the 1st of June will conjunct my DC at 8'53 Gemini. the Lunar eclipse of the 15th of June will be amongst my Sagittarius Stellium in the first house, Sun at 26'50 and Juno at 24, Venus a bit off at 18'36. July eclipse will square my Nodes at 12'16 Aries Libra.

none are exact aspects except for to Juno. but they do fall around very important points… and the described themes being foreign places and home... i hope i WILL get my visa renewed. REALLY, i won't have anywhere to go if it doesn't. i got to cross my fingers!!

Lechien, I'm in the same boat. The 6/1 eclipse will conjunct my Descendant at 14 Gemini, and the 6/15 eclipse will exactly oppose my Venus at 24 Gemini and conjunct my Saturn in the 1st house. But I'm not gonna worry about it...

This is interesting... I have a lot of tight transits with major aspects to the major planets on 1st June:

Sun and Moon are in almost exact opposition to my natal Neptune, with an orb of 0.14 and they are Trine to my natal Pluto, with an orb of 0.22.

Mercury will be Trine my natal Venus, orb 0.14

Mars will be opposition to my natal Sun, larger orb though of 1.50

Saturn is sextile my natal Neptune, orb 0.02 and conjunct my natal Pluto, orb 0.10

Uranus is square to my natal Mars, orb 1.33 and Trine my natal Saturn, orb 1.06

Neptune is Trine my natal Mercury and Mars, at orb 1.00 and 1.53

Pluto is conjunct my natal Moon, at 0.45

Wonder what this will all bring!?

Solar Eclipse June 1st, 2011
Posted on May 4, 2011 by Peter Stockinger

"On June, 1st 2011, at 21:02UT, there will be a partial solar eclipse. At this time Sun and Moon will be conjunct in 11*01′ Gemini, forming a separating trine aspect to Saturn as the chart below shows.

In his Annus Tenebrosus, or the Dark Year, William Lilly presents a method of eclipse delineation, including an interpretation of the effects of solar and lunar eclipses, occurring in each decanate of the Zodiac. As this solar eclipse takes place in the second decanate of Gemini, ruled by Mars who is at the same time the ruler of the first house, Lilly’s aphorism is as follows:

“much Piracy at Sea, and Murder, many fruitless treaties, many turbulent Petitions presented by the people to their Superiors.”

Lilly continues, explaining where to look to clarify the delineation:

“… For although it be most true, that the Planet who disposeth of the place of the Eclipse, shall mostly shew what manner or quality the effects shall be of, yet are they more or lesse, great or little, more forcible, or more restrained, according to the quality of that Planets existence and fortitude at time of the Eclips.”

In the case of this eclipse this would be Mercury in Taurus, indicating problems with intellectual issues brought onto the mundane level. The high-flying intellectual approach of Mercury is slowed down or even hampered trough him being peregrine, under the sunbeams and in close proximity to Algol. (In his book Fixed Stars & Constellations, Robson calls Algol the “most evil star in the heavens”, indicating misfortune, violence, mob violence and decapitation).

For readers, interested in the personal implications of this eclipse, it might be of interest what William Lilly has to say:

“… Eclipse is more dangerous or pernitious which shall be in the Horoscope or Ascendant of the birth; or which shall be in the degree Ascending in an Annuall Revolution: it portends unto the Native some ominous and mischievous action as unto his body and also in his vital substance.”

For this particular Solar eclipse that means that people with Gemini rising, either in their birth chart or in their Solar return chart for 2011, will feel the influence stronger than others. If it should be the case that one or even both of these factors apply, an in -depth reading of the native’s charts may be necessary to find out which particular areas of life are likely to be affected the most."

Transit Watch: Solar Eclipse In Gemini – June 1, 2011 – It’s Not Malefic!

"I have no idea why eclipses scare people. They are not inherently malefic. I have 40 years in astrology and have seen no evidence whatsoever that the sky is more likely to fall on a person on the day of an eclipse. It’s like having a day of rain. Is there something inherently bad in that? Of course not. It’s part of the grand design.

This particular solar eclipse takes place in the afternoon (US) at 11 degrees Gemini. It receives strong support from exalted Saturn in Libra at 10 degrees so if you happen to have planets in Aquarius around 10-11 degrees, you can expect a very good day.

For everyone else, this is a new moon which means a new start. Check the house were the sun and moon fall in your chart and set your intention.

The eclipse falls in my 5th house so I’ll look forward to a month where I shine creatively and feel nurtured in the process. Not bad!

Where does the solar eclipse fall in your chart?"

Hang in there.. believe that nothing bad will happen.

I think eclipses tend to shake stuff up, much like what the Tower card represents in Tarot, but overall, the outcome is probably for the best - stuff we don't need may get winnowed away, and any changes made will be in our best interests in the long run.

Let's hope and pray that nothing majorly bad happens to the world in general, and that we make it past another eclipse season safely.

Solar Eclipse June - Parallel Lives
By Marina

Solar Eclipse of June 1 2011 on Aldebaran, Gemini New Moon Astrology.

"This June 2011 Solar Eclipse is at 11 degrees Gemini and on the Fixed Star Aldebaran. Its is also trine Saturn. This is a heavy-weight, foundation-building Moon and a very special eclipse because Aldebaran is one of the royal stars.

The chart picture suggests construction time. The parallel lines look like a rail road track, with the masons set-square lying across it. It could also be two lines of parallel fate because they are both very different destinies. The eclipse trine is the traditional route, the habits we have built up over generations.

The Moon trine Saturn is the ingrained mindset we inherit. Our internal Mum and Dad. This trine wants to cuddle up on the sofa, munch the harvest and maintain the status quo. It’s a materialist aspect and Saturn is as material as you can get. It is the crystalliser, dense, solid and secure. This side of the Eclipse is like a fortress padded with layers of wadding internally. It’s the perfect protection from the big bad world.

The parallel fate is symbolised by Ceres square the North Node of the Moon, which is conjunct fixed star Ras Alhague in the snake charmer. The square is Martian, dynamic and proactive, Ceres is on Markab in the wing of Pegasus “The constellation gives ambition, vanity, intuition, enthusiasm, caprice and bad judgment”. [1] So Ceres is looking rather reckless here. Ceres can be about great loss or great gain, so this is a gambler. Of course the myth of Pegasus was that his rider did reach for the stars, but then fainted at the last hurdle. Pegasus though continued and got there in the end. Now Pegasus was born out of the blood of Medusas head (Algol) and last Moon was opposed Algol, which spoke of deposing heads of state or religion. Pegasus reached the stars without his rider, (his ego or boss). Pegasus inherits the spirit of it’s Lilith Star mother, Algol. So this horse is a renegade and agnostic. All the stars in Pegasus all share a certain amount of hubris. This parallel fate learns to get to Heaven without the aid of a priest.

We have also had a spate of Saturnian moons, which have been all about authority figures and how we relate to them. The way we relate to our society (Saturn/MC) stems from how we see Mum. Interestingly the Hubers count Saturn as a feminine planet and this actually makes sense since the Saturn ruled 10th house is also the house of the Mother. The mother is usually the child’s first experience of discipline.

So Ceres is like the alternative mother, the angry wounded mother who has lost her precious daughter. She is the woman scorned. The square here brings out this side of her and so does the North Node since it is on Ras Alhague the snake charmer in our rejected 13th sign, the constellation Ophuichus. So This side of the track is essentially, the wrong side of the tracks. That Ceres square North Node here is the disenfranchised, the exiled, it is the angry mob.

So back to the other side of the tracks. We have the elite, the royal star Aldebaran born with a silver spoon in its mouth. Is the fat cow going to fiddle while Rome burns or will it get off its lazy arse and invest that trine into something worthy? How those bulls like to hoard and procrastinate… According to Robson Aldebaran give great riches and honor, good fortune and all the nice Venusian treats, but danger of disgrace and ruin. Bernadette Brady says all Royal Stars have this risk of falling from a great height if their power is used for selfish motives. For Alderbaran this means its imperative to act with integrity.

So he we have things being spelt out incredible clearly at this eclipse. The rich and poor divide. Are the elite going to help those less fortunate? Of course this can also be East and West, Muslims and Christians, left-wing and right-wing, Male and female… The theme is polarites.

The last solar eclipse on Aldebaran was May 31 2003, 9.20 Gemini. If this eclipse is hitting you strongly then it might be useful to find out if anything significant happened back then. So far the theme seems to be that of building foundations for the future, but in a way that incorporates all castes and creeds of people. In our personal life this means an all embracing lifestyle that does not ghetto-ize. Not locking ourselves away in our ivory towers, and being brave enough to cross the tracks and mix with other cultures and religions. Maybe the last time it hit you were on the wrong side of the tracks and this time you are in a better position to help those less fortunate.

Aldebaran

Jamie quoted in his Jupiter Yod 2012 Nick at The Lunar Planner Forum, “Aldebaran holds the vision for global leaders and world servers inspiring the administrative planning of world affairs, specifically for physical logistics and a global infrastructure designed to support humanity through evolutionary unfoldment and global change.”

This fits very well with what I was talking about earlier. The rebuilding. And what happens at this Moon may give clues to what the Jupiter Yod 2012 means for humanity since that Jupiter will also be on Aldebaran. I note that in that Yod Lilith is also conjunct Lilith. I think these two charts are linked somehow. The card I picked for the Eclipse is “The High Priestess” which is also very apt as this is the number II card, is ruled by the Moon and she is often depicted infront of two pillars. Two parallel lines!

“The High Priestess” urges us to be aware of symbols, dreams, the aches and pains of our bodies and our instincts and gut reactions. This also relates back to taking the parallel fate road. It is the road less traveled ad we do have to feel our way using senses that might feel alien to us. We have to see with a different sort of vision as we have no guidelines. Taurus is a very sensual archetype, it feels good in nature and takes strength from the earth.

Both these parallel paths are the same but different. The key is to realizing they have more in common than they realize. Sensual, Taurean, Alderbaran Moon listens to authoritative Saturn. While running along side them is a voluptuous, Virgoan, Ceres being guided by the hubris of Pegasus on the North Node.

This looks like fertile ground from which to grow. Both sides want to lay down foundations and build on them. So there are a few options:
1) Build two separate structures and maintain the polarity.
2) Build one massive structure, which then gets torn apart by the polarity.
3) Build two separate structures with a corridor linking the two. Accepting and incorporating the polarity.

It worked for Frida Khalo and Diego Rivera!"

This is freaky.

Approx a week ago I dreamed of having to go from my original hometown to the next one over together with some people I know. Now, the two towns are connected by a normal, asphalted crosscountry street, which obviously everyone with a car would take and parallel to that a way on the hill, across the fields which is used by the farmers.
We took the hillside way ... when I asked the driver why, I was told "because it is actually easier, faster, better"

I couldn't make any sense of it. Still cannot really for my own situation, but it's freaky nonetheless.

The following will give you points consider when you are preparing for an eclipse. First however, let?s define two terms: the solar eclipse and the lunar eclipse.

A solar eclipse occurs when the Moon stands between the Sun and Earth, cutting off the light of the Sun. A solar eclipse is always a new moon, and tends to mark new beginnings.

A lunar eclipse occurs when the Earth stands between the Moon and the Sun, cutting off the light of the Sun from the moon. A lunar eclipse is always a full moon and usually marks endings or culmination points.

Now let?s review the points to keep in mind about eclipses so that you can better deal with them should any touch you in an unexpected way.

1. Eclipses are dramatic "wild cards" in our horoscopes. They shake us up so that we can move from one level of evolution and maturity to another, higher phase, fairly rapidly.

2. Eclipses bring news of life's big events: a birth of a baby, a marriage, a promotion or career breakthrough, important travel, the signing of a vital business deal, the start of one?s own business, the sale or purchase of a house, a cross country move, the acquisition of a family pet (or loss of one), surgery or see an important health development, college graduation (or the eclipse may mark the start of study), divorce, publishing a book, and so forth. Monumental meetings and breakups or changes on one?s job are also common on eclipse dates. No matter what occurs, it will become evident that the universe is intent on moving you forward.

3. Events that follow an eclipse have more weight than events brought on by a normal new or full moon. In fact, an eclipse is like a turbo-new or full moon?qit packs much more energy and punch. An eclipse may even bring on an event that seems "fated". Eclipses always bring unexpected changes of direction if you have a planet that will be touched. The eclipse does not have to fall in your sign to affect you. (Check your individual forecast to find out more.)

4. If an eclipse falls on your birthday, the year that follows certainly will be quite eventful. You may experience a big change in lifestyle or in one specific part of your chart.

5. Guard your health if you are having an eclipse on your birthday, near your birthday, or on your rising sign degrees because you will be a bit more run down than usual.

6. Take any message you hear at the time of an eclipse seriously. There usually is no way to get a situation reversed. If someone brings news you don?t like on an eclipse realize that there is little chance you can get it reversed, at least not for four months, if ever. See the news as essentially a non-negotiable decision and try to move on.

7. Eclipses shine the bright light of truth to the part of your life that is touched by the eclipse. Most of the time, eclipses act as brilliant illuminators, revealing a condition that you were unaware existed. They can also act as catalysts to a major life decision. Also under an eclipse, you may finally understand the true character of a person near you.

Imagine that a puzzle piece fell out of the sky into your hands. This new piece of information, when added to the overall picture of your puzzle, will change your understanding of it and bring you a flash of insight. You may say to yourself, "For the first time, I understand!" Now you have a full picture of the situation and can make a fuller, more realistic appraisal of what that it means to you, and what you must do next. You will gain maturity and seasoning.

8. Even if an eclipse won't affect you (and I will tell you in your forecast), you will nevertheless notice that there is plenty of action around you, not only in your own circle but also in the world at large. The news media will be filled with information.

In your personal life, you will hear of many monumental life events (the kind we listed earlier in #2) in the lives of people you know, both friends and family. You may be called on to help others at this time, so try to keep your schedule light. There is a feeling of life moving on speedily, fast forward, of great acceleration.

9. With all eclipses, something ends and something else begins. During an eclipse period, you may feel like you are walking across a bridge to a brand new place, with no turning back from where you started. The door behind you latches, and locks. You can?t go back because after the eclipse you will know more and understand things that were never clear to you before. In that sense, you really can?t go home again.

10. Try not to issue ultimatums or make big actions under an eclipse. Bide your time and act in a few weeks when there will be less static in the air. It?s best to respond to others? messages but try not to initiate your own. Said another way, it is better to listen than to act.

Let?s say you need to sign a contract?qthat is OK to do if you are presented with one at eclipse time. You didn?t initiate that contract?qsomeone else did. However, let?s say you want to have a major talk with your boyfriend or girlfriend because you are unhappy. Do so later, well after the eclipse.

The first is an action someone else is asking you to respond to (good) but the latter is an action you chose to take under the eclipse (not so good). The ancients always wrote that if you act under an eclipse, the plan would not work out quite the way you expected. That?s why it?s better to consider the ideas of others at eclipse time but not to make proposals or decisions of your own at that time.

11. You may be feeling more emotional than usual under an eclipse, especially if the eclipse is lunar (full moon). Since your judgment may be impaired or pieces of information missing, try to get as much time as you can to think about what you heard. If you can, wait a week's time before deciding. If someone comes to you with a proposal, consider it carefully. If after looking at it from all sides and you like it, proceed.

12. A quick response to news generated by the eclipse?qoften quite out of the blue---may be required. Have your wits about you! As said earlier, keep your normal schedule light as you might have something new to focus on that will need your immediate attention.

13. Don?t be too quick to judge an eclipse as ?goodO?L or ?badO?L?qeclipses may act suddenly but it takes weeks to understand their real meaning. If you should suffer under an eclipse, consider that sometimes the universe had something better for you in mind. Be patient and keep an open mind.

14. Eclipses can help you do things you never thought you could do. You may be offered a chance to write a book or to record an album, for example. Eclipses sometimes will open a door?qone that was previously impossible to enter.

15. Eclipses play with our sense of time. They bring events that you assumed were months or years away, to your doorstep now. Here is an example of how an eclipse often works:

You are riding a horse in unfamiliar, beautiful terrain. You were told that you would have to jump a tall stone fence (a substantial obstacle or big-deal project) five miles down the road (later in life). Distracted by the scenery (life) you forget about the fence, until it looms suddenly in front of you. You don't feel ready to jump (take a risk). You cannot imagine going over that fence and surviving! This is a big stretch for you! Yet, it symbolizes something you want to do, so you feel conflicted (fear vs. wanting). Perhaps you momentarily panic or try to stop. However, the horse (your inner power) has been trained to jump and before you can pull on the reigns, you find yourself flying through the air. The horse is doing it for you. You land perfectly. The horse is fine and so are you--but you feel Shaky.

It all happened so quickly! You knew the fence was coming up, but being distracted by the scenery (everyday life), you didn't expect it so soon. Now, however, you feel quite accomplished--proud of what you did, and rightly so! Had it not happened without time to think, you may not have had the courage to try. This, dear reader, is the feeling brought on by an eclipse.

16. A word on the timing of an eclipse. A message brought to you by an eclipse is usually delivered within four days of the actual date of the eclipse, but not always. Yet you can sometimes feel a full moon lunar eclipse as early as two weeks prior to it or up to six months later when another planet is needed to trigger the news. (Most likely however, news will occur either at the eclipse or a month to the day later, plus or minus four day--that is your zone to watch if things don't happen immediately).

17. Take notice of ALL news and signals you get near the eclipses. While often news is delivered in a dramatic and obvious way, sometimes the news will come in much more subtly, as a secret or as a piece of gossip. Nevertheless it will foretell dramatic changes to come.

18. Solar eclipses work somewhat differently than lunar eclipses, and emphasize beginnings. (Something may also be ending but the attention is more on the start than the finish.) The changes could phase in over a period of months. Still, the news or timing of those changes often comes as a surprise. If a solar eclipse falls on or within a few days of your birthday you will certainly feel the effects of it over the course of the year. Changes will be complete by the time you reach your next birthday.

I hope you have found this helpful! Perhaps you may want to refer to this list as you move through the eclipses of this year.

The New Moon Eclipse conjunct your natal Sun denotes a big change in your personal life.
The conjunction to the Moon often denotes home or career changes.
Mercury's conjunction to the Eclipse point delivers a constant stream of challenging communication that needs to be either spoken or learned or communicated in some way.
Venus's conjunction or opposition to the Eclipse brings about challenges concerning love affairs and/or money matters.
Mars conjunct or in opposition to the Eclipse point signals action, assertiveness and challenges that deal with personal energy.
Jupiter's conjunction always deals with expansion unless it couples with Saturn. Jupiter involves challenges that deal with expansion in what ever area it resides. Money and travel are also in Jupiter's realm.
Saturn's conjunction or opposition are challenges that deal with responsibility. (Taking responsibility with the conjunction and giving up responsibility with the opposition.)
Uranus conjunction and opposition is always about eccentricity, freedom and unexpected desires. You will always be surprised with Uranus in aspect to the eclipse.
Neptune's conjunction or opposition is always about illusion, or more, exactly confusion. Confusion and illusion are two sides of the same coin. This eclipse produces a generous amount of confusion or illusion.
Pluto conjunction or opposition to the eclipse demands change almost immediately. It can be challenging for just that reason alone. Pluto always seems to bring with it an intense time and in some cases passionate experience.

Is there any information on how eclipses affect one when they sextile, square or trine one's planets?

*edit*
Or, sensitive points for that matter - like Ascendants, Descendants, etc.?

About the Solar Eclipse on June 1, 2011

"A partial Solar Eclipse occurs on June 1st, 2011, at 5:03 PM EDT at 11 degrees and 2 minutes of Gemini. Its effects can be felt up to six months after the actual date of the eclipse. In the Mercury-ruled sign of Gemini, communications, daily interactions, and learning will be a strong focus on a personal level. This eclipse is about new beginnings regarding all of these matters.

This is a time for improving our communication skills by listening to others and enjoying others' points of view, rather than doggedly seeking to find that one "answer"; taking the time to socialize and enjoy others--whether they are neighbors, friends, family, or acquaintances--just for the simple pleasure of doing so; re-evaluating our communication and social skills by questioning just how much we actually take in information, and communicate in a friendly, non-threatening manner; finding new venues for expressing ourselves and for learning by awakening our own curiosity, and refining our writing, speaking, teaching, and listening skills; adding some mental variety to our lives; beginning a new project that involves writing and/or speaking, or that is in the communications field; and for opening our minds to gathering more information and facts from our environment.

Some of Gemini's "lessons" involve learning to be comfortable with people-- putting them at ease, and feeling at ease ourselves. Instead of communicating with others to prove a point, to come up with an answer to problems, or to get our opinions across, Gemini urges us to truly enjoy the moment. By consciously tuning in to positive Gemini energy, we learn that there isn't always an answer, and we become comfortable with that idea. As we learn to let ourselves truly listen to others, we learn through others simply by being curious, and we improve our social and communication skills at the same time. We open our minds to more information, and we learn to truly enjoy the variety of different personalities around us. We become more aware of the superficiality of our communications. Although Gemini is sometimes associated with superficial connections and communications, dig a little deeper and you will see that there is much to learn from the light, two-way, and comfortable conversations that characterize the sign.

With the potent Gemini energy of the Solar Eclipse, we have the chance to make important changes in our lives that will benefit us well beyond this Moon cycle. For some of us, circumstances are such that we need to pay more attention to these matters. Flaws in an important system in our lives are revealed around the time of the eclipse, prompting us to redo or to start fresh. Something ends in order for something else to start anew. We may be called to give up something in order to move forward into a new chapter in our lives. Although the "new" may be unrecognizable, it is important to allow the necessary surrender to the unknown.

The eclipse point itself is trine to Saturn, suggesting an orderly, step-by-step, mature, and practical approach to realizing our goals can bring the most success.

An eclipse occurs close to the nodal axis, and this eclipse is closer to the South Node. Eclipses close to the South Node sometimes "feel" a little more challenging than those conjuncting or closer to the North Node, if we concentrate too heavily on what we are letting go instead of focusing on the fact that we are moving forward.

Important developments in the personal areas ruled by Gemini in our charts are likely to occur over the course of the next 3-6 months. Note that this is the first solar eclipse in a series of eclipses falling along the Gemini-Sagittarius axis, and thus sets something in motion that will likely take some time to unfold. Not everyone will feel the effect of the eclipse with the same intensity. Those whose personal planets are activated by the degree of the eclipse will most feel its effects on a personal level.

This phase of the Moon occurs at 11 degrees and 2 minutes of Gemini, affecting people born with personal planets and points at approximately 6 to 16 degrees of the mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces) most significantly.

Solar eclipses occurred at approximately the same degree as this June 2011 eclipse on May 30, 1984 and May 31, 2003. It might help to think back to these periods and consider the themes that surrounded your life then in order to get a better understanding of what the current eclipse series might mean for you.

The chart above shows the other planets' positions at the time of the eclipse.

If this eclipse stimulates your 1st-7th house axis, you are called upon to strike a balance between relationship and self. Issues of personal courage, confidence, and independence come to the fore over the next few months. You may, for example, receive a cosmic push towards expressing yourself more creatively (especially if Gemini is in the first house), and experience an increased drive to take charge of your life. Issues surrounding personal appearance, the body, and one's image become especially important and, in some cases, critical. Basically, you will be learning to stand on your own two feet! This sequence of eclipses will alert you to the need to interact with others--either the public, or through a close partnership (especially if 11 Gemini is in the seventh house). For some, marriage or divorce will be an issue. For most, carving out a personal identity that includes a significant other who furthers their own personal growth will come into focus. The January eclipse should give you a push towards a stronger identity or sense of purposefulness through close partnership.

If this eclipse stimulates your 2nd-8th house axis, you will be called upon to strike a balance between your own needs for security and comfort and the same needs of other people, likely those of a significant other. If 11 Gemini is in the second house, personal finances will come into strong focus. How well have you taken care of your finances? More importantly, have you taken charge of your personal sense of security? If 11 Gemini is in the eighth house, issues of sexuality and spirituality may be a stronger focus. In either case, issues of shared resources, sexuality, and possessions are featured. With this eclipse, it's time to start fresh with regards to how you go about satisfying your needs for security and comfort. If 11 Gemini is in the second house, take charge of your life by taking the necessary steps to make yourself feel good and secure. You are called upon to make a stand and to tend to your comfort levels. If you do so, the positive effects will ricochet back into your intimate life. If you continue to tend to your partner's comfort levels while ignoring your own, feelings of resentment and neglect can infect your relationships. Get in touch with what feels most comfortable for you, and the intimacy level in your relationship will step up a notch. If 11 Gemini is in the eighth house, you are learning about the comfort levels of others. Essentially, you are learning to share and to surrender yourself (in a balanced manner!) to intimacy.

If the 3rd-9th house axis is stimulated by this eclipse, issues surrounding learning and sharing knowledge will come to the fore. For some, issues surrounding attention to one's immediate environment, and branching out and beyond it, are stimulated. If 11 Gemini is in the third house, you are receiving a cosmic push to become more active in your immediate environment (neighborhood, with siblings/relatives, etc.), and/or to learn and communicate facts that fuel your opinions. If 11 Gemini is in the ninth house, you will be learning to expand your horizons, either through contact with people from an entirely different background than yours, travel, or higher learning. Your personal philosophy will be changing, and this eclipse gives you a push towards adopting beliefs that truly work for you in the real world. Other possible issues stimulated include transportation and mobility (for example, some may be learning to depend on others for getting from point A to point B, and others may be learning to take charge of their own mobility), running errands and tending to one's daily life effectively, and learning about one's need for self-expression through adventure.

If the 4th-10th house axis is stimulated by this eclipse, issues surrounding public and private lives, as well as attention to career and to family, are stimulated. The fourth house rules our instinctual needs, the domestic scene, our needs for security, and our focus on family and home life as well as relationships with family. The tenth house rules our needs for status, our career and reputation, our worldly ambitions, structure, and our drive for success. Striking a balance between these issues is the focus of this sequence of eclipses. If 11 Gemini is in the fourth house, it's time to take steps to improve your family and home life. This eclipse is the final cosmic push for you to take charge of your private life. If 11 Gemini is in the tenth house, you are called upon to pay more attention to your career and public life, and to take charge of this important part of your life. Either way, this can play out in a number of ways. Some may have to make some critical decisions due to situations in the life that force them to make choices between career and family goals. Some people are promoted or their career takes a new direction (especially if an eclipse occurs close to the Midheaven). The challenge is to find a healthy balance--to improve home life, while at the same time tending to one's career needs.

If this eclipse stimulates your 5th-11th house axis, social activity is the focus. The need to be appreciated by others, and the need for togetherness with others, comes into play. A love affair may begin or end under this influence. New contacts with others may also occur. If 11 Gemini is in the fifth, you will learn to let go of a fear of taking risks, and to develop the courage to strike out on your own individual and creative path without fear. You are called upon to deal with others in a more personal, involved, and loving manner, rather than falling back on reason and intellect, which detaches you from your feelings. This series of eclipses is about learning to take personal risks, which requires a certain amount of self-confidence. If 11 Gemini is in the eleventh, you will be learning about letting go of your attachment to the drama of romance and personal relationships, as well as your willfulness. You are called upon to learn about the value of the team. You may need to give freedom to your romantic partner instead of expecting him or her to follow a script of your own making. You learn the value of brotherly love and the benefits of a sense of belonging to a community. Events are such that you move towards a more objective approach to your life and you cultivate true friendships.

If this eclipse stimulates your 6th-12th house axis, issues of work and service, as well as health (both mental/spiritual, and physical), come into focus. If 11 Gemini is in the sixth house, you are called upon to deal with the the details and practicalities of everyday life, to become more organized, and to take charge of your routines. It's time to formulate some clear goals and plans. Circumstances are such that you need to develop some healthy habits, routines, and schedules. Believing in a grand plan is fine, but practical concerns need to be dealt with as well. Recognizing your personal limitations in terms of just how much you can give to others and just how much compassion and understanding you can show is essential now. It's time to structure your life. If 11 Gemini is in the twelfth house, over the next year you are called upon to rid yourself of guilt about under-performing, and to develop faith and trust in a larger more spiritual plan. It's time to let go of some of your fears that you are not doing enough, to develop more compassion and understanding of others, and to be humble, feeling safe in the knowledge that you (and others) are not perfect. It's time to let go of some of your obsessions with rules, details, and fears of not doing things perfectly. When this axis is stimulated, issues of guilt, worry, and anxiety become paramount."
