Astrolog computes it by taking number of planets in the signs, but also taking into account whether those planets are important such as Chart Rulers or the luminaries and their rulers. It also considers houses, as well as planetary aspects.Like, Sag is so strong in my chart because I have Mars, Saturn and Uranus in Sag (Saturn/Uranus being the rulers of my Sun), Sun and Mercury in 9th house (Mercury being my chart ruler) which is Sag ruled, and Jupiter aspects my Sun/Mercury(chart ruler)/Moon/etc and is in mutual reception with my Mars. It also considers exaltations/falls, as well as how strong planets are in general. Pisces is high on mine (despite having only Venus and NN in Pisces) because Neptune is in an angular house and Venus is exalted in Pisces, making Piscean expression more obvious. IP: Logged |

House placements are just as weighty.
For instance, I have no planets in Aries - but two planets in the 1st house - that's how it's done.

Yeah I didn't post mine cuz it says my highest one is capricorn when I only hav uranus, saturn, and neptune in cap and i dont uderstand why if i have moon venus and mars in leo it wouldnt put that as number one.It also said i have fairly the same balance of all modalities and elements. Yeah, right. I only have libra rising jupiter in gemini and aqua north node, but are those really the same weight as having 3 personal planets in leo, and 2 personal planets in water and pluto in water which i have in my first house?? it's interesting definitely but I trying to understand their assumptions and the algorithm behind. for eg. in calculating the weights, is the software simply 'counting' the number of aspects of planet X, irrespetive of orbs? (so if I have jupiter let's say making three 8 degrees sextiles or whatever with other outer planets, then that planet will have more power than my sun, which has maybe only one very strong 0 degree conjunction ?...
i did it for myself and i find it a bit curious cause the strongest aspect in my chart it seems to be Neptune sextile Pluto with a score of 80.... how can this be? or is something that I am missing? IP: Logged |
