Let me ask you this and I know it may be hard to be honest about certain things.
Do you want to LOOK successful even though you really don't care to be?

hmmmm.. well there must be some validity to it. i'm not really sure.. maybe my problem is with the definition. i mean, i'm an aqua so i'm very weird and unconventional and i don't wear like sharp clothes and could care less if my hair's a mess, that type of thing. i guess i'd like to be regarded as 'adept' or even 'gifted' in my art (i feel i am and have been told such on numerous occasions). does that count? i'm finding i always try to keep my weirdness/silliness under wraps (except with those i'm close to) and keep a steady calm exterior. i've thought that was my progressed cap AC though. i guess i have trouble identifying with the word or something, and thus the concept.IP: Logged |

WOW that would make sense Woah.You want to look Cap like-stable, responsible, a good citizen and conventional.
However,it is part of the outer/mask you rather than your inner core. What about the fun loving stuff? Is that more part of your social ways or the real ,deep inner you? ------------------

jeepers, that's a tough one to answer.. i mean it feels like the inner me forsure.. but i guess it could be an adaptive response that's just ingrained and a way of coping or something?haha, i'm taurus moon so i think i identify MOST with taurean qualities, and aqua in my mental-life (which though i identify strongly WITH my aquarius stuff i mentally see it as a mental process/ing and not so much my SELF). i think i might have to think about that. what's the book? Oh my... I'll have a lot to fess up to, then! The rulers of half my houses are all in my first house!  Let's see: House 3 (Aquarius) - Uranus in 1st
House 4 (Pisces) - Neptune in 1st
House 6 (Taurus) - Venus in 1st
House 7 (Gemini) - Mercury in 1st
House 10 (Virgo) - Mercury in 1st
House 11 (Libra) - Venus in 1st Six of them!!!  No wonder my 1st house is so heavy... The problem with me is that all the 1st house planets I have, their influence I feel is natural to me. I don't feel like they are a mask at all, it's the way I always act whether by myself of in a group. The only mask I really put on is that I overcompensate for my immense insecurity (see thread about 12th house) by appearing very confident. I wouldn't even know how those house rulers in the 1st would make part of a mask, but always happy to learn ------------------

I know,Woah,it is really interesting cuz I thought my chattiness was me but I think it is the social me.

lechien, yesssss.. i have neptune on my AC (in 12th) too. it's a tough one! i also live on my AC-neptune line.. o_O gotta keep yourself protected!yeah, ami, it's interesting. i dunno, i identify MOST STRONGLY with my art and the intuitive sensuality that it IS.. but my silliness is such a part of my life; i dunno. i do think it's quite possible i've learned to be cheerful/dorky as a coping mechanism that never quite went away. big questions involved in sorting this one out since it's similar in some ways to aqua (sag rising/5th stuff, that is)which is my main conceptual framework. woah cakes! 12th house sounds a bit harder. my Neptune is not in a tight conjunction to AC, and it seems as i get older i am starting to understand its effects and handling it better.and on the other hand, as i get older, as i mentioned a bit above, i'm starting to understand how to use the *masks* more effectively. i think my chart ruler in the 7th house adds to the Neptune confusion about who i am, like i have no tact differentiating the boundaries with others. Well, NO house rulers are simply house to house.Planets are not part of it.
At the next level, one looks at the house rulers and the aspects they make.Then,one takes this info to see how that slice of life/house will be impacted.
