Once you get this into your brain, astrology will become much easier... I have tested many versions of doing astrology, and this is the best.Think about what you want to to find out, let's say communication.....next think of the house that would mean what you are after. Mercury is communication, and Gemini is ruled by Mercury. Gemini is a house 3 thing. So, you have house 3 as communication.
Look on your house 3 (ideally in WHOLE SIGN, or equal house system) to see what sign is on the house cusp. Using the Scorpio example above, Capricorn is on house 3, which means SATURN is the ruler of that house 3 (of communication)
Natally, and in transit, look to where Saturn is to find out about your communication.
Still using Scorpio rising. This time you want to look at partnership issues. Partner is Libra, which is a 7th house subject. Looking at the natal chart, Venus would rule the 7th house of a Scorpio riser. Therefore if you want to look about your partner, you look at Venus in natal or transit.
The planets represents what the houses is. Take that as solid gold. Believe me, over the years I have researched and researched this. Please use it or feel free to not do astrology this way. Your choice!
