I would personally like to know from you all that how much does your rising sign affect your physical appearance and personality.....Is it necessary that to have its influence on your personality? I have got a 14 degree 26 minute Leo ascendant but some astrologers tell me I look and act more like a Cancer rising
because of my cute and rounded and innocent looking face..... I accept I do not really look like a leo rising my sun and moon in aries.... Also I am not as outgoing , friendly and warm as a Leo and don't have much desire to lead and being recognized... my time of birth is correct...and according to that Leo is my ascendant... so I would to know is exact birth time and birth location is the only way to determine your correct ascendant.....or is there more to it? or It may be that I was born under the wrong ascendant ...? Is there anyone who does not look like or identify himself with his ascendant....? IP: Logged |

What house is your sun and moon in?
I don't identify much with my ASC either, but transit-wise...the time of birth is correct. My chart ruler is submerged in the 12th though, and my own sun opposes my ASC.

Planets that aspect your ascendant will augment its expression. I'm a Gem Rising but with Saturn and Uranus opposing it and Venus square it. I come off a lot more stern and shy than typical Gem risings.IP: Logged |

Well, I have Capricorn Rising and I have a rounded innocent and young looking face; I have Neptune in my First house that causes this :3 I also have Uranus in my first house and it's stellium with Neptune and my Rising. Do you have anything in your first house aspecting your rising sign? Or perhaps your moon and sun sign as well because I've seen people who have Virgo Sun and Aries moon like me and even though we didn't have the same rising; we look A LOT alike facial shape wise! It's a round somewhat heart shaped face with a prominent forehead. Also, maybe you like me have a ton of Water and Earth in your chart. I only have one fire sign; Aries Moon and one Air Venus in Libra. The rest is Scorpio,Pisces, and Cancer. I have a grand trine in water houses.IP: Logged |

I've got a Cancer sun and a Sagittarius rising. I don't know as far as looks go, but personality-wise, yes. I'm very enthusiastic for a Cancer and when I talk, my hands are always gesturing.  IP: Logged |

Hello!What's your hair like? I have sometimes noticed with strong placements in Leo that the hair is significant regarding apperances. And the way Leo:s walk. Like the Cancer-eyes. And the Aries read-heads. And the Cap/Aqua beeing small, thin and dark./Anna IP: Logged |

well my hair are dark(I belong to Indian Race(Asia))....and they are thick in texture....I have 4 personal planets in aries..and two in gemini....and rest capricorn... only pluto in scorpio is a water placement..... @coffee I read about your thread...but my leo ascendant is not a mask for me....in fact i come across as sweet ,gentle ,decent and innocent..kind of girl...on the negative side...I usually stay aloof...am not very friendly i don't think that is very Leonine....I do't like flirting either....no show offs also...
i have got very strong saturn and neptune aspects....sun is squared by neptune and saturn...
..My sun in 9th and moon in 8th...... some astrologer has said by looking at my pics....that My rising is should be cancer..and that I need a chart rectification. but my time of birth is dead sure...

well i have thick hair....and by body is more hairy than an average girl...... and i have a rapid walk... and yes many people say i have bright eyes.....how are Cancerian eyes..? IP: Logged |

nops I don't have anything in my 1st house.....apart from my south node in virgo....only pluto squares my ascendant(should this aspect be considered)...and I am indeed a very self controlled person..I usually dont keep any expression on face...no conjuctions nothing rest... and i have a small forehead... I think I better not go into detail about my rising and how it affects me. There's just too much going on there to be able to pin-point what exactly influences me most.
First of all, I have 2 planets conjuncting my rising (mercury and uranus), and the moon opposing it. Second, mercury, my moon's ruler, is conjunct the rising. Furthermore, there are two more planets in my 1st house who to an extent, also seem to influence my appearance (venus and neptune).
What I know is that people quite often peg me as an air sign. Usually they'll say Gemini, occasionally "Aquarius" has been mentioned, too. (This is generally in real life and from people who don't know all too much about Astrology, though  ) Based on that, I would say that my moon in Gemini and Mercury rising are doing a good deal of influence on my appearance, although Uranus does try, too 
Apart from that, being a fire sign rising, I do have red hair as coincidence would have it

You must not be that familiar with the characteristics of Leo... Because Leo people are some the sweetest, warmest and genuine people you could ever know... Leo energy is so warm and vibrant and the tendancy for Leo's to be obnoxious and be show offs is a negative trait of Leo. The more evolved ones use their creativity and warmth to inspire others... You must be at least a little bit more spontaeous than your average Cancer Sun, if you have Leo ASC.? IP: Logged |

Leo risings actually have very bright eyesi wouldn't describe cancer rising as innocent so much as maternal. Leo rising is definitely innocent-looking, on the other hand. One noticeable difference between the two is that cancer rising people look a lot more serious whereas leo rising people are almost always cheerful, even if they're quiet. Cancer rising people usually have very strict ways in which they see life and have a certain stubbornness. They are "a parent." Leo risers are usually innocent, cheerful, and accepting. well I have and Aries Sun and Moon....not Cancer........unfortunately due to my strong saturn aspecting rather squaring all my personals i am not very spontaneous.... i am not warm rather cold....but to those whom I know i always greet them with a smile
...I am always ready to help people...especially those in need... I am sweet in the sense...I am helping,tolerant and easy to approach...i can get along with anyone and talk to anyone.... I am not anyways Stuck up as a Leo is known to be.... but I am not at all social and rather stay reserved and aloof....so don't have many friends.....but those who know me well say My nature is very nice... neither very stylish or flashy...but my classmates tell me I have a good dressing sense....I always want to look smart...and my classmates tell me i have a smart appearance... and yes i am very genuine...person but i have heard a lot about the regal and proud look of a Leo...that is the thing which

I am warm-hearted....i am also a good girl sort of.... adjusting and co-operative...
yes some people have told me that I have got a smiling face.....but nornmally I am little serious looking(due to my saturn) .... many of my friends say I have a childish demeanour....the way I interact and smile...is very innocent and childish...I don't intentionally act like a child...but it comes quite naturally to me...... I don't see life in a strict way....

Well, that sounds like the thick, beautifull Leo hair and the proud Leo walk! :-)Dont forget that there is two kinds of Lions; either the two in "The Shadow and the Darkness" or the one in "The Wizard of Oz". Leo kids can get a harsh start in life. They are, as said, something extra, glowing like. And some people just dont always like that and therefore tries to put them down in all the ways possible. Well I have a Pisces Ascendant, but it conjuncts my Venus in Pisces (1st House). They both trine my Moon and Pluto in Scorpio (both 8th House) Then my Rising Pisces squares my Sagittarius Saturn(9th House) & Uranus (10th House). It also squares my Gemini in Chiron (3rd House). IP: Logged |

I am a Leo sun sign with ascendant in libra at 3'56 but I do not look feminine as what a libra ascendant lady should. The only reason I can think of is that my mars and pluto conjunct loosely with my ascendant in the first house. I went through the kiddy - teenager stage of people telling me I actually look manly (  yeah, the ugly duckling stages and tendancy to keep to myself) with my bushy eyebrowns, angular squarish face, high cheekbones and dark sunken eyes which are not usual with Asians Chinese. Oh yeah, I'm definately hairy too.. attributes to Leo sun??!?! Of course all changes when I grew older, discovered ways to tame my bushy eyebrowns and then incorporate a smile or two with cosmatics and dresses, yeah, probably now can pass off as a libra ascendant delicate looking lady. :P Personality wise, inwardly very pluto-like, with my Pluto loosely conjunct my Mars and trine my Moon and Venus. Especially when I am mad, all the Pluto bad anger comes out. Not good I know. Outwardly, i guess I am diplomatic and sweet with the libra ascendant, and especially libra like with acquitances. I should ask my closed friends since their description should be more accurate. Totally not very leo-like personality wise (I'm the behind the scene sorta person, quiet type) so sun sign not a good indication of personality at all, from my perspective. MC in Cancer and my mercury is in Cancer. Really keen to know what MC means to my personality to the world. I greatly appreciate if someone can provide insight on MC? IP: Logged |

MC = your general reputation and traits you tend to admire/look up to individuals who exemplify those traits even if that sign isn't strong in their chart. What you look like on first impression from a distance, and Asc is first impression up close. Take into consideration rulers of asc/mc and also their house placements and aspects they make for full picture.IP: Logged |
