I also believe that there are only two basic emotions, fear and love. I first read this in "Conversations with God" and could totally identify with this statement.

I think that if we live in fear, the Universe will give us the experience of fearing, people will come at the right time and at the right moments to confirm that this is indeed an unsafe place to live in and so on. But I'm a big believer in free will, however hard it is to use it, it can be done. We can attract loving experiences and we can create a safe environnement to live in.

I also think the concept of free will is kind of an illusion. Change happens through us whether we want it or not. However, free will or the illusion of it, as well as genetics, chemistry or (personal) history have all their part to play in the big picture. And if everything was a big illusion? Have you thought about it?

I have retro Saturn as my chart ruler, in the 9th, in Scorpio, conjunct Pluto, MC ruler.

In short, I became so good at self-defense that I managed to alienate everyone from my life and isolate myself in my little bubble, as I like to call it. Of course you can't stay there all your life, though it would be great, still have to go to work, still have to pay the bills or buy groceries to survive. I have been living with the basic for survival for several years, this is why despite the economic crisis, I have money in the bank. I lived the minimum possible type of existance.

Ohhh... and the intimacy issues... as you can imagine, in my case it is worse, with Pluto/Scorpio in the mix. Pluto is also retro. Sure, most people born a year before/after me will have this too, but the two of them ruling my most important angles and making aspects to my personal planets, they became HUGE for me.

It wasn't until Saturn transited my 8th house (which is still not over, but soon will be) that I learned about intimacy and how badly I crave it and fear it at the same time. I sabotage relationships out of reflex, but damn me, how I yearn for that sweet surrender. It's just that I haven't found a single person worthy of such a complete trust to be able to do so. I am now more at ease with this, I am aware that I could do it if I really wanted to, but I'm still horribly selective about partners.
