Is it true?

Is it true that those whose charts tend to be composed of mostly trines and sextiles live an easier life?

My chart is full of squares and oppositions. I have met others with squares and/or oppositions in their natal and we always seem to be struggling mentally, emotionally or with some other thing in life.
It feels as if life is just harder and heavier for us.

The ones with the lovely trines and sextiles seem to be floating on the ground. As if they are just luckier. If things get thrown at them, either it does not hit them or it gets resolved in such a simple and easy manner.

I do not know if it is that squares/opposition aspects make life harder or if the aspects just make it harder for us to deal with hardships.

What do you think?

I have no oppositions and only 2 squares,I think.
My life has been strange in ways that make me think about your question.
I will be back.

I think that perhaps an "easy" chart gives you inner resources to handle very hard outer things.
I don't know how to make sense of that fact that I have an easy chart other than Retro Saturn conjunct the ASC.
If you look at my mother's chart next to mine, then I have a very hard chart.
Maybe your question is too simplistic to address the complexities of Astrology.
I would be interested in other people's thoughts.
It is a good question!

The hard aspect will always win. If you have an t-square you have it.... the strenght to manage reverse and capacity to challange. The best are an mix of easy and hard aspects. Easy aspect bring the comfort you also need in the life..

Hmmmm I have more hard aspects than easy, mainly squares, but then I also get a lot done, something in my chart shows me as quite resourceful tho I'm not sure what, cos I can think of a lot of shortcuts and am just very persistent, focused, and efficient to make things work. A friend of mine has hard aspects mostly, same amount as me, and same amount as easy as mine, and to hear him talk, you don't even want to listen, everything that happens to him is the worst. His life is the hardest, no one knows what he goes through, he still harps on about how he never had a huge birthday party as a kid, a full grown adult is saying this every 2 wks or so, and I tell him there were kids when you were growing up who were lucky if they ever had soap, or who were orphaned, etc. but he is just 'nah nah nah nah' fingers stuck in his ears, the most infuriating person. I think you just create your own outlook no matter your circumstances and you either have perspective or you don't and that is the qualifying factor.

I'll look through charts and return later when I find some that were majority easy aspects.
Walt Disney had mostly hard aspects Saying this as I went to Disneyland last Friday.

Yay!

Thanks everyone.
Yeah, it may be simplistic on one side but again, these are just my observations.

Hoping for more responses.

In my chart - between the major planets I only have one soft aspect (a sextile). For the rest - I have 2 Inconjuncts, 11 squares, 8 conjunctions and 6 oppositions. All the squares, conjunctions and oppositions are in aspect to each other forming a fixed grand cross. Despite this, I consider myself to be a pretty happy, well adjusted person. I cope well when circumstances are difficult and I am very, very driven to grow spiritually from whatever life throws at me. When I was young I got into a lot of trouble, but with maturity I have been able to reign in a lot (but not all)of my less salubrious impulses! Hope this gives you some hope. If you want to see just how "bad" my chart is have a look at my post "For those who have afflicted charts" dated 4 June. http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum24/HTML/208725.html
